My youngest sister and I were playing Resident Evil 4 today. When we where done with her game, we switched over to mine so I can show her the awesomeness of a fully upgraded handgun of mine. She was firing it off and shot the merchant! The fricken merchant can get killed! We where so surprised by this and amused by it. We tried leaving the area and going to the next map, came back, and he was still dead only now his body was gone....however the merchant is dead forever in the area you killed him at...he still lives in the other areas though.

Um yeah you can kill the merchant... and if you kill him at his 'headquarters/store' he's dead forever eveywhere, he can also be killed by the AI... so if you lead the villagers back to him they'll kill him... but I'm kinda suprised you hadn't already noticed this...

I never got him killed nor have I tried to kill him so I didn't know.
