As Zubat was knocked away by the peck attack, the pokemon's Gust became much weaker. "Thanks M.A., I'll take it from here! Larvitar, push forward with all you've got!" No longer blocked by the gust of wind, Larvitar was able to regain control over his Sand Storm and sent it back towards Mareep who was waiting still. It was clear that the sand attack was still on it's way, and so Mareep dodged instead. "Good, Larvtar now is your chance. Use Bite attack!" As Soon as Mareep dodged, Larvitar was already on it's way charging forth with another attack. Mareep had no time to dodge this time around and took the full force of Larvitar's jaws.
"Damn... Zubat use Leech Life on that puff ball! Houndour, get up and use Ember now! Mareep, Shake him off and use Take Down once more!" Houndour got up from the peck attack, jumping around to face the Natu and unleashing a volly of embers from it's mouth. By now, Zubat had recovered and darted around in the air. It's wings began to glow as it shot forward at Swablu. Mareep winced from the bite. It flinched from the pain, unable to attack.

"Don't you scream at me!" Aphrodite yelled back, looking at the strange plant. Victreebel stared insanely at Aphrodite, and opened his mouth widely, letting out another angry scream. A moment later, he spun around in place several times, similarly to a top, and hopped into the air and landed. This seemed to be his strange way of performing a Sunny Day, as the sun's rays suddenly intensified so greatly that it caused Aphrodite to squint for a few seconds. She heard Victreebel screaming a few times-- this time though, it seemed to be teasing her.
"You are just rude!" Aphrodite hollered, before spouting off another Ice Beam at her opponent. Due to the fact that the bright light made it hard to see, her attack missed, and Victreebel didn't have to even move to dodge the attack. He screamed, and looked up to the sun for a moment, taking the light into his body. A moment or two later, he looked back at Aphrodite, and lowered his head. He blasted a Solarbeam at his opponent, screaming simultaneously, of course.

"Sure, I'm Joe." The trainer said. He tossed a pokeball up and caught it again. "You ready?" He asked."Definatly!" She said, and grinned, stepping back and saying, "Pikachu, you're up!", then she added, "We can use all our pokemon."
Joe opened his pokeball and a Metapod came out. "If you make the rules, I go first! Metapod, harden!" He said. Metpod's shell shined a bit, hardening.
"Pikachu, thundershock!" Train said. Pikachu zapped the Metapod with a powerful electric shock, and it did damage even through Metapod's tough outer layer. Joe grinned and said, "Metapod, tackle!" Metapod had been thrown into the air by the blast, and landed in a tree. Then it moved out and landed hard and unexpectedly on Pikachu.
"A metapod using tackle? Cool!" Train exclaimed. "Pikachu, use growl!" Pikachu let out a small growl, which lowered Metapod's attack power. Right away, Train had Pikachu use another Thundershock, and it hit the Metapod dead on. The Metapod fainted, and Joe withdrawed it.
"Not bad." Joe said. "But can you beat a Butterfree?" He asked, and sent a pokeball into the air. A purple butterfly pokemon appeared, hovering in the air. "Butterfree, Confusion!" He commanded.
Butterfree sent a small Confusion attack at Pikachu. Pikachu was blown back a little bit, and wobbled unsurly. It was confused, and didn't know which was up or down anymore.
"Pikachu?!", Train cried, "Pikachu, thundershock, please!" Train was really hoping Pikachu could aim a thundershock, but it couldn't. The yellow mouse blasted itseld instead, and fell over, fainted. Train ran out to pick it up and hugged Pikachu. She carried him back to where she had stood and put him down. Then she pulled out another pokeball and said, "Alright Ratata, you're up!"
Ratata appeared in front of Train. It stood ready, and as soon as Train told it too, Ratata used jumped up and hit Butterfree with it's tail, lowering Btterfree's defense. Then the Butterfree blasted it with a Confusion attack, as Joe had commanded it too. Ratata jumped up, it had been hurt, but confused, like Pikachu. "Tackle!" Train said, and Ratata launched itself at Butterfree, slamming into it hard. But this Butterfree was more powerful than Ratata by 8 levels, so after another Confusion, Ratata was down for the count.

Houndour's Ember managed to surround Little Guy as he attempted to fly away, evetually landing on his wings and body. Little Guy didn't let the burning effect him though, keeping his concentration on flying and gaining speed.
Ky thought for a moment, now that he knew two of the Houndour's attacks. 'I'm not too worried about Ember. What worries me is his Bite attack. Crenu's Larvitar took Li'l Guy out with that,' he thought. Granted, he didn't know that Bite was a Dark-type, he just knew how much Little Guy suffered from it.
Ky gathered more of the scene, watching as M.A. sent Ulani in to attack. Ky thought of Crenu and M.A.'s Pokemon. M.A. had a Houndour. 'Arg, I wish I had seen Daemyn fight,' Ky thought. 'Then I would be able to find a weakne...' Suddenly, an idea came to him.
"Little Guy! Latch onto his neck and use Peck! After that, hang on!" Ky shouted. Little Guy did just that, using quick bursts of gliding movements to manuever around the Houndour's head, latching onto his neck and bringing a Peck down onto the Houndour's dome. Afterwards, Little Guy gripped his fur tightly, awaiting the upcoming bull ride.
As Ky watched Ulani fight, he smiled. 'Ulani, thanks for the idea.'

Ulani, for the second time that day, stuck out her little pink tongue impudently before dashing off, leading Zubat away in something like a game of chase. "You won't catch meee," she twittered, laughing in that chirping manner of hers.
M.A. rubbed the back of her head dazedly, watching the Swablu zip off randomly with Zubat closely behind. Well, if she kept that up, Zubat wouldn't be able to land a hit on her until it caught her; maybe she'd even tire it out, assuming she didn't burn out first. How Ulani had so much energy, at least when she wanted to play, was really beyond her.
. . . And still the rolling match continued between Daemyn and the Phanpy.

"I guess I couldn't!" Train laughed. She returned Ratata to it's pokeball, and woke Pikachu up. She held Pikachu in her arms, since it was still a little weak, and Joe also returned hiss Butterfree to it's pokeball.
"Thanks for the match." Joe said to Train, then turned and walked off.
Train was near the forest exit, so she just continued until she was out of the forest ocmpletly. Then she hurried to the pokemon center in Pewter City, and let Nurse Joy take her pokemon to heal them.
After she got her pokemon back from Nurse Joy, Train decided to go take a look at Brock's gym. She had no intention of challanging him yet, but she wanted to see what he and his gym were like. As she walked into the gym she called, "Anyone here?" and looked around. Her Pikachu jumped down from her shoulder and sniffed the gym floor.

Suddenly, Kilik felt everything stop. The wind outside stopped howling and the sickening feeling in his stomach had stopped as well. He looked over to see Mazarin clapping his hands, muttering about 'having arrived'. The black orb around them disappeared, making their entrance quite extravagent. He walked foward, some of the black smoke pulling away from his clothes. "My, my. So the reports don't lie," he said, craning his neck over the crowd to see a Pokemon battle occuring. Kilik squinted.
"Wait a tick..." he blinked and opened his eyes wider, "That's M.A!" The boy shoved through the crowd, glancing over his shoulder to see if Mazarin was following. They'd have to clear a path the size of a Center to get him through, he thought angerily.
"Yo! Kilik! Wait up!" Mazarin called, flailing an arm. He recalled Murkrow and then spotted a girl near the back of the crowd. "Er...Kilik! Go ahead!" He raised his eyebrows and strutted over.
Moron.. he thought, standing at the front of the crowd. It was quite a spectacle. He had never seen so many Pokemon battling at one time --- well. So many younger Pokemon. A Natu, Houndour, Swablu, Zubat, Larvitar...He was pretty sure that was all of them. He slipped his hand into his pocket and looked at the 'Good' side; M.A. being one of them.

"Heh, Mareep use Thundershock now!" Mareep unleashed a owerfull thundershok from within it's wool. Normaly this would do nothing, but since Larvitar was currently biting on Mareep, the electricity went directly into his body, sending him flying back in a cloud of smoke. "HA! Alright now Mareep, Take Down! Zubat, use quick attack! Houndour, Rage!" Houndour 's eye glew as it started to spit scorching flames from it's mouth. It bucked wildly, tharashing about as it threw flames up into the air and jumped into them, running around between each bust to try and dizzy the bird before trying to burn it away. Zubat, still chasing Swablu, suddenly vanished in a burst of speed, a white light trailing behind it.

Hearing a voice Brock looked around from one of the many boulders inside the building. He set down the tray of pokemon food for a Graveller that had apparently been there to eat. "Hello there." Brock said taking in the young girl before him. A bit too young for him but she was still cute.

"Hi!" Train said and smiled. She looked around the gym, then back at Brock. "Nice place ya got here, this to suit you're pokemon?" She said, looking at the Graveler.
Pikachu walked over to the Graveler and sniffed it curiously. "Pikachu." Pikachu said, sniffing the Graveler again, wondering if it was nice or not.

"Pretty much. Rock types love to be in this sort of setting. It is pretty useful for me when facing challengers. So are you here for a gym challenge?" He asked.
Graveller noted the small pokemon. He had seen that type before and it wasn't much of a threat. But since they weren't battling he decided to see if it wanted some of "Brock's Patented Home Made Pokefood" and held out the bowl.

"Rage? What on earth is that?" Ky asked Crenu, hoping not to disrupt his concentration. Ky looked in terror at the Houndour, who looked more like a demon than a dog.
As Little Guy hung on with his talons, he could do nothing but close his eyes when the Houndour barreled through his own Ember. The flames washed over Little Guy, singeing his feathers even more than before.
Ky looked on as the Houndour bucked and twisted. "Li'l Guy! Try and plant a Peck in the same place as before. Look for a soft spot!" Ky yelled out.
Little Guy tried as hard as he could to follow Ky's order, but it proved almost impossible in his situation. Instead, Little Guy timed his Peck to go with the momentum of the Houndour's bucking, letting his beak crash into the back of its neck. Unfortunately, the blow caused Little Guy to lose his balance, toppling off of the Houndour's back and landing near him on the ground.
"Oh no..." Ky said softly. "Little Guy! Get back into the air!" he yelled.

"Nah, I'm not strong enough yet. I'm just traveling around until my pokemon get stronger, then I'll come back and face you, when I'm sure I can beat you. "Train replied, and looked over at Pikachu and Graveler. "Your Graveler's pretty friendly, cool. It's good to have friendly pokemon, makes things a little easier."
"Pika!" Pikachu said happily and took a piece of pokemon food, which it popped into it's mouth. Pikachu was glad this Graveler was nice, and Pikachu decided it was another friend.
Is it pokefood that's made especially for Graveler, or will Pikachu like it too?

Mitchell looked over the pen, letting out a chuckle at the Breloom's hysterics. "Joeseph Ranmo, the man who lives in Verdanturf Town. He's a fossil expert, and helped me dig one up." At the mention of the last name, Mike racked his brain.
"I know I've heard that name before." He always hated it when little details like someone's last name escaped him. "Agh!" He kicked the ground in frusteration, feeling less than smart.
"Well, good thing that Verdanturf is a small place, won't be too hard to find him." Mitchell removed his glasses, wiping them with a spare cloth he had in his pocket.
"This is true." Mike said, still annoyed at his ignorance. "Come on Portabello, we're going to go wait for Kassie." His Pokemon had just finished burying the Omanyte in a mound of dirt, his entire face covered in jet black ink. Yes master. He hopped over, rubbing some of the grime from his face.
"Thanks mister," Mike said with a good-bye wave. "I really appreciated the help." The boy and his Pokemon began the walk back to the Pokemon Center, awaiting their friends return.

M.A. watched the three attacks with a sense of consternation. She could only watch as the Zubat swiftly caught up to Ulani, wiping away her sense of playfullness in one fell swoop; the bird cried painfully as she was bowled over by the Zubat, landing harshly on the ground. With a feeble wobble, the Swablu rolled to its feet again. Although she was not down for the count, her previous battle with Sting and the strains of this one brought her pretty darn close.
And the Houndour's terrible fury was a cause for dismay by itself; M.A. grimaced upon seeing both Little Guy and Larvitar hurt. What to do now? No, no, she couldn't let herself panic, but still. . . how much more could they take? Ulani was pretty battered by now, and didn't seem like she could keep at it much longer. Little Guy was pretty burned, and Larvitar's opponent was a pretty tough one.
She glanced over furtively to Daemyn, who actually was trying to get out of the fight. The brutish Phanpy, however, was not satisfied enough to let him do so, tackling him over the minute he turned his back to her. So, what to do?
"Should she sing again?" she asked aloud quietly, ready to sweep Ulani back into her arms if it got any worse for the little Cotton Bird. "But near everyone would fall asleep. . ." Unless they had Insomnia, which M.A. didn't know of.
