Everyone seemed happy and enjoying themselves this most wondrous of evenings, and as such, so did one very tipsy happy busty woman. Having had about four and nursing her fifth drink of the tasty punch, Gai had finally gotten into a rather relaxed mood.
In fact, Gai was at the point of no longer caring about "her" current state - only that she was here at a party and laughing at the joys of it all. Though since she was slightly swaying and laughing by herself, the people immediately around her seemed slightly weary of her.
Glancing across the ballroom, Gai's glazed unseen expression lighted upon the younger people dancing and carrying on with a good time. For a good moment, she stared, hard, at one couple dancing; her mind blank until reaching an important decsion.
'.....I wanna dance....' Perking back up, the dark haired one began to make her way across the dance floor, once every so often bumping into someone - and giving a quick 'sorry' in turn.
Finally upon the couple she'd been watching, she smiled widely and reached out, enveloping the lithe girl into a hug.
"Sakuraaa-Chaaan... you're hair is so cute like that! This party is so great! The punch is very tasty..." Gai spoke, loudly, but not too loudly that anyone else could really hear. Pausing for a moment, she looked towards the other person.
"Oooooooh... I interrupted you, didn't I? Oh.... embarrassing, but I want to dance... you looked like you were having so much fun!"

Naruto pulled away, stepping a few paces back from sasuke. "She was the one who let Sakura and me go after you! If you come back she'll listen to you, plus that b*****d use to be her teammate. Maybe if you stay this time no one will ******** hate you!"

Kiba grinned. "He is stupid." He said, only replying to the comment about Naruto. He leaned on his hand and watched the other couples that were dancing.

Turning her attention back towards the pink haired one she still had in a hug, a bright smile flashed across her face, though it was partially hidden.
"Oh it's great, you should have some." She chirped happily. Then she leaned in close and whisper lightly, in a dead serious tone.
"But don't have too much..... I think it's spiked."
Pulling back and giving another wide smile, and tilted her head, once again back into a chipper moment.
"I'll worry about killing Jiraya later..... So tell me, is this your daaaate?" Nodding her head towards Neji.

Lady Kiba Zaku quickly hid his disappointment when Haku pulled his hand away. He wouldn't push hi though as he did actually like the guy. "I see. Well, I think maybe I'll just head off on my own until I find some place...or someone, that I like." he shrugged and looked up at the sky and sighed. Orochimaru would probably send someone to kill me if I left, even if he has raised me a good deal of my life. I know I'm just a pawn to him...

"Yeah, no more pretending we're someone else." Zaku said quietly then added, "Not that I've been trying to hide it. If we were to become enemies, I'd be in trouble. You know my weakness..." After Haku had pulled away from his touch just moments ago, he was a little confused at what was happening now. Is he rejecting me or allowing it? Damn, wish he'd make up his mind!
"Hey, Kiba...let's dance again." Shikamaru got up from the table and held out his hand to the Inuzuka.
Hinata giggled again. "That would be funny! By the way, what shall I call you? I would feel bad just referring to you as 'hey you' or 'that guy'..."

"You know my preferance in weapon..." Haku pointed out. His pulling his hand away, earlier, was because he was still a bit unsure of... well, being so close. Dancing had been a little odd for him, though he'd done it before. Most of his life had been with Zabuza, and Zabuza alone, so he wasn't quite sure what to think about Zaku...
But he did know one thing.
He wanted to get to know the other male even more then he knew, at that point in time. He was someone who had similar issues, that he felt rather... comfortable discussing them about, even. "I've been truthful to everything i've said, this evening, so you don't have to worry." The femmenim male said, looking up at Zaku with a small smile back on his lips.

It wasn't often that someone trusted him like this, "It feels nice." he said aloud and turned to face Haku more. "Thank you...for trusting me even a little." Zaku said and turned his hand so that he could hold Hakus.

Haku's smile warmed a little as he let Zaku hold his hand. It felt a little awkward, but he liked it. Looking down at the appendages clasped together at the hands, he smiled a little more. "I, uh... Thanks for giving me a reason to." He finally murmered after looking at their hands in the moonlight.
Before he knew it, he began talking a little more about himself, with the comfort resting between them.
"Did you know... that this is my first ball?" He asked softly, looking back to Zaku. "I don't go into town often, let alone attend to any events... this is probably the only one i'll ever get to go to, really..." He mumbled, giving a weak chuckle.

"I know what you mean. There's usually something going on, like a mission, to really get out and enjoy other things. It's why I look forward to my little vacations so much." Zaku chuckled. "I almost didn't come because I knew my two friends would be too uninterested to come. I'm glad I did though or we wouldn't have met."

Haku smirked. "Indeed..." He murmered. "Hey, um... are your friends... nice?" he then asked. Friends were also something new to Haku, even though he'd had them, before, as a small boy. Traveling with Zabuza, for Zabuza... His dedication to the older male left room for nobody.

Shikamaru smirked, thinking exactly that. "It doesn't matter what you wear, Kiba. I think most people would be surprised to know that I'm the aggressor in our relationship." He pulled Kiba to him and gave him a kiss. "Not that I mind when it's the other way around. Actually, I was thinking...since you're being the girl tonight...I want you on top tonight."
Zaku laughed a bit. "I'd say tolerable is more the word to use. One can be a complete a*****e while the other can be rather annoying, but when you get used to them, they're not bad."

"Like I'd let you have me on the bottom." He said, licking his lips "I have to feel at least somewhat like a guy tonight." A grin spread across his face, makins his eyes scrunh up slightly on the edges.
