Kenji twirls his sword over his head. He smashes into the first of the bandits, knocking him into one of his fellows. He follows this with a punch to the face, using the hilt of his sword to cause more damage.

Zaan spies a man about to attack Kenji. Not thinking about it, he hurls his dagger into the man's neck. The man falls, dead. He turns to Kenji and salutes.

Kenji salutes back, removing the knife. When he hands it back to Zaan, he uses his magic to make the blade white-hot and the handle cool. He smiles and tells Zaan that the enchantment can be broken if he wished, but continued fighting, not waiting for an answer.

Zaan accepts the gift gratefully. "This'll help." Suddenly, he felt a blow to the back off his head. He smiles again as he hears the man scream as Zaan's dark aura does it's work.

Kenji, jealous of Zaan's aura, calls fire around himself. The fire envelops him, keeping out those that wish him harm.

"Not at all! There's plenty to go around though!" Kenji yells.
He continues burning and slashing his victims.

Zaan is seen dashing through the ranks of bandits. Anywhere he is seen, another man falls dead. Zaan looks out toward the forest, swearing profusely. "More coming still. ...For the love of God." Then he realizes what he's said. "Bad turn of phrase."

Kenji yells for Sam to get the wagon out of there. He cuts a path through the army and tries to move them to one side so Sam and Kakashi can get through.

"No choice then..." Kenji mutters. The flame aura explodes, cascading the army with fits of flaming matter.

Zaan summons the Shadow Servant and sends it crashing into the mass of bandits. With a groan he asks "Where do they all come from? I mean, not everyone can be a bandit." He grumbles again and continues fighting. Suddenly the lightbulb goes on in Zaan's head. "KENJI! Keep them away from me!"

Kenji looks over at Zaan, astonished. He hurries over to Zaan and begins holding off the advancing vagabonds, using his spells to take out groups at a time.

Zaan suddenly grabs an advancing bandit and drains him dry. "Gonna need the blood." Zaan suddenly points at the ground and a small cauldron appears over a flame. Zaan lights the fire quickly. Pulling a seemingly random collection of herbs and potions from his robe, he drops them into the cauldron. He begins chanting in a strange language. The forest darkens, thunder roars and lightning flashes. The bandits all stop in awe to watch. "That's right suckers." He mutters. He takes his dagger and cuts his finger. A small drop falls into the cauldron. "KENJI! GET DOWN!"

A block of ice forms behind Kenji. He drops to the ground and crawls to the wagon, sending bolts at anything that got in his way. In the wagon, he put an ice shield around the wagon and looked out of the clear barrier to see what Zaan planned.
