"No problem..."

He sat back down and pulled a small back from his side, rummaging through it for something. He pulled out an apple and a knife. He began cutting into the apple, carving off slices. He called out.

"Like I said before..Im blind....this man however is not. For his sake, I suggest you keep your blindfold on..."

He held a slice up to them. He wasn't looking in their direction, but rather away.

"Want some?"

He had no idea what they were talking about. It was even weirder that both of them were wandering through the desert with blindfolds on, and one was most definatly naturally blind. The other, well... he could only guess.

When offered the apple slice, he would wait to see if the lady went for it first. If not, he would gladly reach for it. He had not yet noticed the scales on Adri's neck, but noticed the cuffs and chains immidiatly.

"If you don't mind me asking, why are you wandering through the desert with chains dangling from your body?"

A dumb question to ask for a person decked out in black cloathing.

Adri looked up in the direction of the newcomer. She held up her hands, the sheer material of her sleeves falling down to give a better view of the cuffs and the scales on her hands and arms. "I wear these because I am a slave... or I was... I don't currently have a master. The caravan I was travelling with was attacked by raiders and I fled..."

Having answered the question, she turned to the first young man, accepting the offered apple slice. "Again, I thank you..." It wasn't meat, but it would suffice.

When she took the slice he cut another one for the man.

"A slave eh? Interesting... You need not thank me."

He stood once taking a bite of the apple himself and placed it back into his pouch. He stepped a little bit away from the two, his back turned to them. He brought his head to the side and spoke.

"Lets get out of the sun so that we can talk. Im afraid the heat wont entirely alude us...but I for one would like a shelter..."

He reached up with his right hand and grasped the front of his band, the one covering his eyes. He pulled on it and threw it to the side. Immediatly following his energy levels rose, causing the sand at his feet to spiral along the ground. He pointed his hand to the ground in front of him and muttered a few words.

"Dalskrida...Fuja..Minoka..."

-House of sand-

The sand in the area he directed his hand two bulged upright, making a dome of sorts. When it reaches a good height, the sand hardened into a rock formation of sorts. The dome was open in the front for easy access in and out.

He grabed his items, secured the band to his head once again and moved inside, sitting down on one of the stone seats that was created. It was slightly cooler in here, shaded from the sun, but not cold. No...cold usually came at nighttime in the desert.

He was a tad jelous. Magics such as that were outside his doing at the moment, and he would have to scoure his legnthy naga-skinned tome. He'd enter into the dome and sit down, the stone chairs being comfier than they looked. Well, anything would if you were wandering through the desert.

He had to touch stuff to make sure the weren't mirages or anything. It was just weird that he'd fall down a dune into a pair of seperate travelers who had magic such as this. He took off his glasses and cleaned the sand off them, looking around with his natural eyes. While he was cleaning them, he continued to speak to the girl.

"How was it that you became a slave?"

"Power and beauty sssssuch assss mine isss highly valued to thosssse who can afford it... or take it..." She rose from the ground, following after the two men, thouch she sat herself down on the sand just in front of the shelter. She preferred to be under the sun's rays. "Wouldn't you ssssay that many men would be willing to pay any price for a woman who could paralyze a man by looking at him... or kill him merely by making eye contact?"

She paused for a moment before going on to finish answering the question. "You could ssssssay that I am like a ssssssnake raissssed in captivity. I wasssss born into captivity assss a bassssilissssk and through a sssspell, I wassss given thissss more human form and ssssold to the highessssst bidder asssss a pet. It'sssss the only life I've ever known and not a bad one... People take good care of rare and precioussssss commoditiessss..." Every time she made the 's' sound it came out as a hiss.

He spoke to the women, commenting on what she had to say.

"Wouldn't know...Im blind remember. I can't see your so called beauty...and your paralysis abilty wouldn't work on me. To top it off, Im not the kind of man whom would need someone based on the fact you described...I can take care of myself..."

He thought for a moment.

"The only thing I really lack at this present time is friends, or people to accompany me places."

He tapped the table and thought, then he turned to the man.

"And your name would be...?"

Ruuvan wasn't surprised to see a Valkyre, who had been in a huge war back in the day, heft a Flameberge with one hand in so many quick yes powerful strikes, so he'd at least be focused when facing her. Secondly, Ruu was using two swords again one, not that it gave him a big advantage against her magic or skill, but it did make defending against so many hits slightly easier and manageable.

As her first attack came, swinging from right to left, Ruuvan skipped backwards out of the blade's path. Needless to say she was going to keep coming at him with the hits and soon he'd have to start hitting some of them as opposed to moving, so he was still holding his blades ready. When her second attack came, he turned his body to the side and leant backwards, watching as the blade past harmlessly by his face, allowing him to shift back to standing straight again. However, once she had started her cleaving attack down his body, Ruu would need to use his swords unless he wanted to be half the man he used to be (badum tsh!).

As the blade started to descend, Ruuvan brought both swords into a cross above his head, pushing the flats against the oncoming Flameberge and pushing it away, thus leading into her second downwards strike, this time from a mid-air position. Now, as the sword came down once more, Ruu used his left sword in an outwards arc to reflect the blade off course and to the side of his body, then followed up by slashing out with the right sword at the now airborne Valkyre, aiming at the armour joints of her corresponding leg, in order to slow her down later on.

Of course, that last part was assuming that she was not stopped at the third stroke, which she was. Claire stumbled backwards for a few moments as her blade was pushed away, and was most definitely starting to get frustrated. Yet she kept going, re-adjusting herself quickly before getting into another stance, holding the blade so that the tip was pointed at Ruuvan's knees.

Her focus remained, though all she saw was red and shadows. This opponent was determined and skilled, whoever it was. Her grip tightened on the hilt of the blade, thus lighting the Rune Stone again. Apparently, she needed a bit more force.

Fine then... she would use more force. And thus, she waited for something to happen. The stance she was in now was meant for a fast reaction to an attack. Then again, she was never known for her patience. Still, her focus on her target remained, and her body responded accordingly.

Moving forward one step after another, seeing as she wasn't that far away, she approached with a look of fury in her hazel eyes. Oh yes, she was still in her rage... but that rage was still focused on one individual instead of her general surroundings.

Fine, so she backed off after the third stroke, it made no difference to Ruuvan who was once again left in his crouched stance on the defensive. He could see from the way she was holding herself that she was ready for an attack to come, but she would get no such thing from this Ranger. So, just as the many times before, he would stay still and wait for her attack to come and tire her out some more. Seeing as he hadn't used the light magic called earlier, he still had it in reserve should the need arise.

Kurobatchi entered the ruins of Kosatsu no Orochi and then cut his hand so his blood would spill over the first gate and unlock it, it was amazingly beauttiful on the inside with golden walls and artifacts everywhere, but he wondered why he had found a japanese style ruin here of all places? It had been only day's since sigma had broken up, but he was still hiding from his enemies as they didn't know of his change of heart.

He had reached the second chamber and before him stood two 60 foot tall statues of snake like men. They wern't normal statue's either, ancient magic had brought them to life in order to protect this temple, all he had to do was drop some his blood onto these statue's and the magic seal would be broken. In the third room he saw many treasures but one most of all interested the Blade of Orochi, the legendary weapon he had been looking for, for years.
