You do make really good points there, Hoshi. I'm not much of a debater, so I can't really argue them. Let's just say that under the right circumstances, I do see the pairing as plausible. It's like creating a basilisk, though - you have to hatch a chicken egg under a toad and keep any roosters away, or it's just not gonna happen. Hence the "possibly" in my last post.
(I'm actually surprised you didn't say anything about my Shura theory, not that I've explained it at all yet. sweatdrop )

Yeah, I really can't see a YuRama KuKina GOD has anyone else noticed that there's no way you can make a couple name for a Kurama-Yukina. It either looks like Yusuke-Kurama or Kuwabara-Yukina!
I think its a sign from the gods...o_o;;;
Anywho. I just think there's not enough differences. Yukina and Kurama are both very mild-mannered and tend to practice the art of the underspoken then anything else. Yukina and Kuwa is the only STRAIGHT pairing I can think of.
I could def see the possibility of Yukina going out with a chick. It's just so plausible. She's such a femme! But, as stated before, there are really no chicks for her in the series. T^T
I actually considered having my OC kiss her and having Yukina just think its a friend thing. But since its an OCxHiei fanfic, I don't think he would take that too well. ^^;;; (Actually I'd like to here any comments on that idea and Hiei's/the group's reaction XD)

It's not that she's a femme (I find that word kinda rude and distasteful when used on a female, non-gender bent character), but think about it. She lives in a culture where men are hated and there is nothing but women. If they taught the aspects of a relationship there, what other gender is a koorime able to fall in love with if they don't go the same route as Hina (Yukina and Hiei's mom) did? Though, I don't think Yukina (if she were to fall for a girl) would be against being with another race, since I'm sure a lot of her mother is with her and Rui was pretty against the Koorime lifestyle and she raised Yukina after Hina died. But, see, that's why I said KuraKina was stretching it for me. The only reason I do see it is because Hiei does trust Kurama and might not mind them together if it would make his sister happy. Plus the two are rather quiet and soft-spoken people. They would have a very sweet relationship where their actions would show their love more than words. But I like Kurama with too many other people (mostly the other tantei) and I just don't see it really working for them anyway. KuwaKina is just too adorable for me to see Yukina with anyone else, though I like seeing Kuwa-chan with two, maybe three people other than her. It's unfortunate and depressing that KuwaKina is a bit of a doomed pairing.

If Kuwakina fails, what luck do any of the other relationship's in the world have! I actually read a fan fic in which it became just Kuwa...and just kina. I swear, I nearly cried...then got very angry, flamed the author and stopped reading. That made me feel better. =)

Ironically, I can't see Yukina with another girl (ESPECIALLY not anyone in the series) BECAUSE of where she comes from. It's true that men are hated there, but she left, didn't she? She makes it clear toward the end of the series that she doesn't exactly like her upbringing; I seem to remember a scene in which she almost vehemently hates the koorime. (Maybe I just made that up, though.) So to me it makes more sense that she would be attracted to men because of the influence that her heritage has had on her. But that's just me.
I really don't think I see Kurama with anyone in the show except maybe Hiei, but I've already ranted about that enough to last a lifetime. I don't think anyone there is smart enough for it to work out between them. ^^

Hm...its true. Idk. I agree with you in a few cases.
1) I can NOT see Yukina with any chick from the show. I really hope that wasn't done on purpose. =(
2) I can't see anyone with Kurama either. It just...no. No. ;<

There are a few other yuri pairings (at least the ones I ship) besides the one from above. I can see Botan and Shizuru together and if anything were to happen between the uber canon pairing, Botan with Keiko.

I actually read the doomed pairing part in a YYH fact book. Yukina is a demon. She will stay young for a long time while Kuwabara will age normally. She will live for a long time after he passes on. Plus there is always the chance that her old life in the Glacier Village impacted her enough that she won't truly understand love outside of family (though I highly doubt this, because she is a fast learner). Because of the aging factor, they would need to live somewhere outside the city to escape the criticism of those that don't understand. They could survive on a platonic relationship, but, as I'm sure all of you can tell, Kuwa-chan wants something more, but would never push the subject on her because he's not forceful.

Yeah, that's been attacking me too. As I'm sure many of you have heard me rave on about, I'm writing a fan fic and the whole aging factor is throwing me off. It's sad to think that Kuwakina has an end... =(

I've actually got a fic bunny (not started yet, mostly on the back-burner because of other stuff) slated to have the title, 'All Things in Balance'. It's going to be about the shift between Yukina and Kuwabara, as they go from the perfect ages for love to blossom to the schism that will come when time tips the balance. And it's likely to be horridly depressing, providing I ever get it written.
Somehow, I still like this pairing way too much. I'm not sure why.

What is there NOT to like about Kuwakina?! Their the most adorable pairing ever and they truly show that love is blind and is more powerful than anything else in the world. =)
