HEY TIME TO START OFF THE PAGE WITH LYRICS!! twisted heart
Artist: Aiko Title: Kaban (Bag) Words: Aiko Music: Aiko
the sight of you just standing there, your voice, your mannerisms, tickles the back of my nose.
I walk around the same spot over and over again, I can't stay still, this feeling won't go away.
it won't fit in this big bag nor this heart? I think of you so much it's embarassing. I've loved you ever since that day. it's ok if you never know it, but actually it'd be nice if you did.
'let go already, forgive me' I could see two kind arms inbetween a tightly closing rift in the still of the darkness
until I met you, what was I doing with my life? it's almost enough to make me forget.
I want to discover the flaring stardust, the cool smell, the big place as if undoing a knot, little by little, with you. I'm aiming directly at you, my eyes set on forever thinking so in my heart, I can't say so but
it won't fit in this big bag nor this heart? I think of you so much it's embarassing. I've loved you ever since that day. I'm going to tell you now, crying and laughing so listen up.

Artist: Aiko Title: Mikunieki (Mikuni Station) Words: Aiko Music: Aiko
If I lost you, what would become of me? I wonder I'd cry, my head hung so low it wouldn't raise
unable to stand the cold, I sought the warmth and there I found your fingers, your arm that's enough, that's all I need
everyday is like the last so what am I panicked about?
the cityscape doesn't change, that bowling alley I was panicked, trying to find something to fear, something to overanalyze just not wanting to let go of the hand I held.
'when you're in trouble I'll help you, so don't worry' I hear a voice flying freely that's enough, that's all I need.
my will makes efforts to breathe so I can look at you head on
don't miss this tiny heart I'm growing for you it's okay to let some spill but I swore never to bring shame upon that sunny day I wore a flowing skirt
the cityscape doesn't change, that bowling alley I was panicked, trying to find something to fear, something to overanalyze just not wanting to let go of the hand I held. counting on my fingers, the days coming into bud and the road we took home.

Artist: Aiko Title: Sakura no Toki (The time of Cherry Blossom) Words: Aiko Music: Aiko
I can't say that everything I've done up til now has been without error. But I feel that in meeting you it's all been compensated for.
the falling rain is a real pain making me pout. Thank you for telling me about the rainbow after the rain has let up.
You said, "Just when Spring arrives many cherry blossoms are in full bloom all along the riverside" and I nodded.
Hold my right hand, gently hold it and look straightahead forward. So that we can say no matter what kind of troubles we had they were no big deal. slowly slowly pass the time, I hope you're the one kissing me happilly in a different way.
The words I've remembered up til now, are only enough to fill this palm I'm suffering feel empty and impatient with a love I can't get across to you the pretty blue just above my eyelid, take the pink off my thin lips Don't make me have been colored for no reason.
Now walking next to you who I used to watch from afar, our shoulders lined up I just need a little more strength to believe please.
That ring finger that playfully teases, and the hand I've gotten used to. Something which moves and catches and won't let go of my heart, my everything. In a season which goes round and round, and those endless days I hope that we'll be able to smile together.
When Spring ends, and in comes Summer, even if those cherry blossoms have fallen off and wilted, love me the same as you did today.
Hold my right hand, gently hold it and look straightahead forward. So that we can say no matter what kind of troubles we had they were no big deal. slowly slowly pass the time, I hope you're the one kissing me happilly in a different way.

the reason this is such a cutesad cxa song is cuz would't you agree that their future could've been like this heart crying
Artist: Aiuchi Rina Title: DreamxDream Words: Aiuchi Rina Music: Tokunaga Akihito
under the sky brimming with sunshine a semi-bright ray of light absorbed us
my eyes almost forgot to blink, looking so closely at that carefree smile, that's all mine
led by the light in your devoted glowing eyes that show me, the future will change.
how many times from now on and ever after, do you think I'll feel this sparkling feeling which makes my heart race? it's kind of fun, and I'm just so happy completeing this DreamxDream with you.
Life, you next to me, yawning big it makes me yawn too, you know it's this kind of
tiny little happiness that becomes so special. with you, the quiet moments are...
From now on and ever after we'll call the joy of you and me becoming one, 'happiness' it's kinda fun, and I'm just so happy. completeing this DreamxDream with you
how many seasons will I witness with you one day when we smell this smell again, if we can first say 'back then it was like this too'...
how many times from now on and ever after, do you think I'll feel this sparkling feeling which makes my heart race? it's kind of fun, and I'm just so happy completeing this DreamxDream with you.

Artist: Aiuchi Rina Title: Kuuki (Air) Words: Aiuchi Rina Music: Terukado
The season grows deeper, the foggy window, whining the usual scenery white all the time I spent with you
uh if only I could blur it all out uh I slowly closed my eyes.
The air I breathe in, always brings me your warmth. It was homemade.
Because we're weak we need to support one another when sadness comes around, we come together with kindness We must let the painful memories grow,
uh- count them, search for them, not enough uh- until they regrettably get away from us. if we lose half of them eveything falls to disrepair like a promise you can't keep.
there's little difference between what you protect and what you lose. everyone realizes this as they pass by
the air I breathe, always yours you're no longer in the air I breathe when I breathe it just hurts

this...made me cry <3
Artist: Abe Asami Title: Sotsugyou (Graduation) Words: Abe Asami Music: Tsutsumi Kyouhei
We were always together. And we fought a lot. I remember how loudly you chewed me out. when I was troubled, you said to me, "you don't have to smile all the time"
even when we're apart, please remember me please always remember me I'm sure we'll meet again someday. There, don't cry don't cry Please don't cry don't cry Because no matter where I am, I'll keep you safe.
the white and pink cherry blossoms, when they reach full bloom I wonder what we'll be doing...? I loved my school, and I loved you all because we were always laughing together.
even if we're apart be friends forever, we'll always be friends forever, I'm sure we'll meet again someday. There, smile for me smile for me smile more for me, smile for me I won't forget, no matter where I am, we'll be friends always and forever.
no one can live all by themselves so I'm sure we'll meet again someday. Good bye and please remember me Good bye and please remember me because no matter where I am, I'm always thinking of you.

absoultely beautiful stunning
Artist: Abe Asami Title: Kimi wo Tsureteiku (I'll Take You) Words: 326 Music: Tsutsumi Kyouhei
If only I can get there I wouldn't care if say, my white wings were soiled to the point they were no longer white I make a face like it doesn't phase me and call all the hardships and setbacks I suffered to realize my dream "happiness" If I must take a detour to make you into a smile I'll pretend it doesn't phase me and call it "happiness"
that's me putting up fronts but somewhere in there I'm telling the truth. that's why these days that should have been so hard on me were full of smiles at least until then...
"The day my dream comes true, I'm coming back for you, promise" such a worn down promise kept me going. people look at me, barefoot "oh you poor thing" making as if they're worried about me even if I'm laughed at, I believe that effort, that still seems so effortless will build up and become a bridge... even if I'm laughed at. even still I've kept on one day that distance between us, it grew longer and longer everytime we got closer to our dream our hearts... as well. are you well?
people look at me, barefoot "oh you poor thing" making as if they're worried about me even if I'm laughed at, I believe that effort, that still seems so effortless will build up and become a bridge... even if I'm laughed at.
but still I've kept on but still I've kept on And when I look back to see you you're no longer there, where you promised to be
Eventhough, I've been walking having sworn to one day take you there...

Artist: Abe Asami Title: Mizutamari no Naka no Tsuki Words: 326 Music: Tsutsumi Kyouhei
when I can't sleep at night, I slip out the window and climb onto the roof. The sky I see from the roof, the city looks somehow different than it usually does.
You were there. Hidden in my heart. you followed my SOS back to me, and took me away.
You said with a laugh, that you "caught hold of" the glowing moon in the puddle. to you, I swear eternal love.
When was it they started calling us adults? I guess we can't be kids forever after all huh? I see, that may be a problem.
I wonder if my teacher could decide my dream for me? I'm so free that now I've chosen freely to be restrained.
rather than believe the fears howling in the distance, I've chosen to believe the words, you speak laughing right aside of me.
when I was young I was scared of the night, I feared falling. I always, always clung to Mama's skirt and hid so I wouldn't fall into the sky, The sky I saw, that sky I saw, now it's kindest to me.
'There's no reality which feels real' what came out of my mouth was only a contradictory right answer. you, so like a phantom, are more real than anything else.
You said with a laugh, that you "caught hold of" the glowing moon in the puddle. to you, I swear eternal love.
a moon that will be dry by tomorrow

Artist: Abe Asami Title: Our Song Words: 326 Music: Tsutsumi Kyouhei
Across the distance, across time there's something which reaches across all of it.
something I could notice as I stumbled and fell again and again. (the meaning I picked up, amidst the meaninglessness of it)
what always offered me my saving grace, as I curled up in a corner of my room and cried was song. (a night of falling stars, a golden shooting star raps on my window the black and white picture dried, glows brilliantly)
That's why I want to wipe the tears you cry all alone, just as I do.
If there's indeed a way for me to do that, it's only through song. 'Cause all I have is song... Am I reaching you? (a night of falling stars, a golden shooting star raps on my window the black and white picture dried, glows brilliantly)
the wind which strokes my cheeks can bring us the scents and memories of summer
Now, did I promise you I'd go bearing the entire burden? (Nothing is so sad as a beautiful past)
Now I finally understand the meaning in the song we sang together as a class. (intoxicated with pity for myself, a past spent sitting indian style.... restraint, meaninglessness, frailty that wasn't without reason) ?
The right decision, the resulting failure. It takes courage even to run away
'thank you' Now at last I can say it clearly unashamedly. Since I muster up these feeling when I sing, will you listen? ( A realist because they have a dream, a dream because it's a reality the sadness becomes a key to open that door)
just by being strong, there's nothing inside. a trip in search of the tender heart I removed my armor to discard in the past.
what always offered me my saving grace, as I curled up in a corner of my room and cried was song.
Does this song of mine reach you, curled up and crying in a corner of your room? (a night of falling stars, a golden shooting star raps on my window the black and white picture dried, glows brilliantly

Artist: Every Little Thing Title: Graceful World Words: Mochida Kaori Music: Otani Yasuo
Those emphemeral ones pretending to be strong as they embrace their wounds which won't be healed. swallowed by the waves of commotion, again today they continue to wander. as time marches onward, we'll always take in what we see before our eyes and the voices we hear. Graceful World meetings and partings are all for our sake. let's rejoice our birth on this blue planet together. Fulfill my dreams the days gone by are like that shining sun, we'll hold them in our hearts, so that we can be proud of them always, and once again begin to walk from there.
There are people right now, somewhere crying like this. I don't want to waste those tears so full of different thoughts. I won't give up on my self, whatever i can do no matter how small, that's very important. Graceful World by doing this, our hearts will now be heroic, lost under this big blue sky, we're living together Fufill your dreams no matter what trial awaits us from now, I don't want you to ignore it, because, see, happiness is right before our eyes.
Translator's Notes: Hmmm... Should we say "we continue to wander" in the first part, or "they continue to wander" Is Kaori one of the wounded ones? Lately I'm confused over "arukidasou"... It's like "start from there"...but that's complicated when we come across "hashiridasou" so actually it doens't mean physically walking... it means "start out slow... take those first steps... where as hashiridasou means "start running off". If there are discrepencies between translations its because of my search for a good way to translate. Thank you

TRULY GREAT heart
Artist: Every Little Thing Title: Over and Over Words: Igarashi Mitsuru Music: Igarashi Mitsuru
uhh...let me hear the love ballad which has continued forever uhh...softly teach me pain and gentleness
unlike fashionable clothes you can't just simply change your feelings they are irreplaceable
In order to have pride in memories even in a heartless world over and over over and over I will search for a love which never changes
uhh...why do people hide their own weak willed selves ? uhh...will people lose their honest child-like heart ?
Everytime we sleep together without even exchanging our important words our love goes uncomprehended by one another
Little by little even if there's a detour at the end of an endless journey over and over over and over someday I will overcome this
Just the number of sadnesses (are worth it) if you can love as you do
When I fall in love, in time, I'll hurt someone even if I make excuses, only emptiness will be left.
Goodbye's and fated meetings even these like an endless journey even so I will search for a never changing love. I'll reach the love which never changes.

*TEAR* heart
Artist: Every Little Thing Title: Nostalgia Words: Mochida Kaori Music: Kikuchi Kazuhito
A cold blue wind blows against my chest making me feel how fleeting some things are in this world. What freed me of such loneliness was your smile. Why do I always take things so seriously and get hurt ? The moment I spill my guts, I regret it, even now eventhough that warped smile, on the verge of tears isn't likely to go away. one day you held my little hand so firmly. My hand still hurts from the strength of yours.
From the moment the door opened, *1 a warm light came, like the sunlight through the leaves of the trees and surrounded me genty. I felt there is your love, so always in my life.
there was a comfort that came from being able to talk to you about anything. I took it for granted that I could always count on you to be there for me. I was too embarassed to come right out and say it "thank you for everything" the miracle you've given to me *2 I'll take pride, and live my life honestly and purely.
like a flower. your sorrowful and shining smile was always there with me even when we were seperated, our bonds were stronger than anything your smile, your hand, your strength flowing through my body, were things you always valued. do you see, now they shine in me. *3 I felt there is your love, so always in my life. I felt there is your love, so always in my life

Translator's Notes: This song was the theme song for a drama called "With my Stepmom" and quite possibly the lyrics are based on that story. Clearly the song is about the singer's mother. Many lines in the song make it sound as if the singer's mother has died, and the singer is remembering her fondly. On to the *'s
*1 - This metaphor is likely referring to the singer's birth and the love that surrounded her from the moment she came into this world.
*2 - The mircale of life.
*3 - Her mother's strength continues on in her.

*MORE TEARS* heart
Artist: Every Little Thing Title: Ichinichi no Hajimari ni... (At the Start of the Day...) Words: Mochida Kaori Music: HIKARI
I won't forget.
on the cold concrete, I listened closely to the breathing of the city.
the dawn makes a break for it, shrouded in a pale purple everytime our eyes met My feelings softened
even in those days of being rushed around, there's scenes like this. if this is a dream, don't wake me, illusion
I was fascinated by that look in your eyes I never stop loving. don't wake me make my heart thrill that distant feeling the blue world reflected in me begins to shine, by just you're being here. I won't forget.
like a twinkling star the pieces of the dream we whispered to one another. you made me realize that at some point I'd stopped expecting anything I'm glad I met you.
We've come to know our frailty so well, that we hold onto our ordinary lives, and go to sleep.
I hear your voice calling me, I never stop loving you, it's so soft, and feels right I wish things would just stay this way... my world wrapped in a wind that smells of the orange blossoms you said you liked I was fascinated by that look in your eyes I never stop loving. don't wake me make my heart thrill that distant feeling the blue world reflected in me begins to shine, by just you're being here. I won't forget.
relfected in me, the blue world I could see from by your side.

Artist: Every Little Thing Title: Grip! Words: Mochida Kaori Music: HAL
The seven stars scattered across the indigo sky. The feelings in each one, now growing stronger, shattered, cried out for love.
unable to runaway we cling to a dream. We won't lose to this phoney life anymore.
Let's realize this moment. The time is coming when we'll find ourselves amidst the stifling reality of our everyday lives. Just what... is most important!? The fragments of eternity that we see on and off again in this materialistic world feel them, grab them Let's go on a step at a time to make sure of who we are now. *1
We went onward, "not to regret a thing" Will we laugh or cry? Will we be happy or sad? Even now I don't know afterall There's nothing to fear from the future that's begun to change. That's what life is really all about.
Living on the edge, even if the answer we gave is wrong *2 even if its just something we thought up. we should wish strongly until the day it becomes the real thing.
The sprout of love on the verge of being squashed growing in the cruel world. feel it, grab it. make our mark definitively on our present.
Let's realize this moment. The time is coming when we'll find ourselves amidst the stifling reality of our everyday lives. Just what... is most important!? The fragments of eternity that we see on and off again in this materialistic world feel them, grab them Let's go on a step at a time to make sure of who we are now.
in order to have the last laugh, Let's go on a step at a time to make sure of who we are now.
Translator's Notes: The "Grip!" of the title must be a reference to the lyric tsukande which in Japanese could be translated as grip but in this case is more like "get" "grab" "grasp" or "get hold of". The song seems to be about taking hold of your current circumstances. Thus "get a grip on your life" is probably what they are getting at.. On to the *'s
*1 - This is a difficult line to put into English as it says a lot with fairly few words. What Kaori seems to be trying to say is that by taking slow determined steps we can claim our present as our own. Thus we assure ourselves of who we are because we haven't gotten lost in the hustle and bustle.
*2 - "Living on the edge" was more or less us settling for something. We try not to do it a lot... but girigiri wo ikiru bokura is a hard concept to put in words. If you have something better we'd be glad to use it.
