Danburite's eyes flashed briefly with anger when Zoisite failed to kill Jadeite. It seemed he would have to do more to break him. Swiftly, he walked over and shoved Zoisite away from the blond Tennou. "Useless," he muttered under his breath before sending his gaze over to Mamoru. "Endymion! This time I shall let your pathetic excuse of a Tennou live! But the next time we meet you had best be prepared to fight or all you cherish will be destroyed!"
Although he would have liked to see his replacement die at Zoisite's hands, Danburite was prepared to accept the defeat if it meant keeping Zoisite's loyalty. He was a pawn Danburite could not afford to answer. Turning away, he glanced over at the panic stricken Naru and a cruel smile played on his lips.
"Next time do not bring your woman to the fight, jadeite. She might get killed next time," he threw over his shoulder and then motioned for Zoisite to follow him as he walked off.~*~ Usagi frowned, her displeasure in what Minako had just said obvious. She sounded exactly like Kunzite had when he spoke of Danburite and Zoisite's treachery. She was still having a hard time grasping that concept. "Demo... Zoisite..." she said in a half whisper. Her frown faded into a slight pout as she didn't bother to continue 0on with what she was about to say. She was sure Minako and possibly even Rei would give her a hard time about being a supporter of Zoisite.

After hearing what Minako had to say, Makoto had to suspect that Zoisite could turn into an enemy if he wasn't already. "Usagi-chan, I don't think there's anything to worry about for now. However, Zoisite could eventually turn to the other site just for Danburite. We can't be sure and I don't know why Zoisite was even with him. We have to remain cautious."

Zoisite rolled off of Jadeite roughly, and he had a brief moment of panic when he realized that Jadeite would then be at Danburite's mercy. He breathed a sigh of relief when it appeared that his lover had no intention of killing Jadeite himself.
He pulled himself to his feet and sheathed his weapon when Danburite motioned. He started looking in the direction of the Master, but he couldn't bring himself to look at him. Slowly, he followed Danburite, his eyes focus on the ground in front of him.

Mamoru was on the ground, kneeling beside Nephrite who was again unconscious, he was lucky that he was otherwise it was going to be a bloody mess.
Mamoru sat there listening to Nephrite trapped in a nightmare, and the words he spoke sent chills and anger through out his body. The please from Usagi's friend and Zoisite trapped between saving them or betraying them. The events that took place in that very park enraged him. He sat there useless, not able to fight back or help his fellow Tennous without risking his or their lives. He envy the senshi's and their dedication to each other. Sacrificing their own lives to protect one another. Usagi was the bravest women he ever known. She will jump in front of a blade to protect her friends, her fellow senshis, but Mamoru wasn't like her. He just watches in the shadows as his Tennous crumble. He was so sick of tired fighting behind the lines. He will prove them that he is not weak and will bite the bullet to protect his Tennous, his friends, his brothers. Anger reached to the boiling point and in a flash Mamoru transformed into his Prince attire. His face twisted with anger and his eyes flash with rage, ready to rip Danburite to pieces. "Danburite you coward. If its me you want, then come and get me. You will never bring me down or my Tennous down. I will not let you use them. And if that wench of a queen is still alive, I hope Usagi's and the senshi's gives her the death she's meaning for and I will watch with great pleasure and satisfaction at the sight of her begging for mercy. Don't mess with me. I will end this here and now. Fight like a man and not some child running away cause he cant face the heat. If you do, then you are a coward like you always been. Let me give you an execution like you should have that day you betrayed us!!!" Endymion growled, unsheathing his sword.

Zoisite stopped, but didn't look behind him. His Master's voice sounded so foreign at this point. He had never heard the Master speak like that in this life, or even in the last. In some ways, he was proud of his Master, but on the other hand, he was frightened. He was challenging Danburite, and Zoisite felt that his Master wasn't strong enough with a sword to defeat Danburite. If Danburite decided to accept the challenge, Zoisite would have to act. He had promised to leave the Master be, and Zoisite prayed that he would keep his word

Danburite stopped and turned back towards Endymion with a bark of laughter. "Come now, Prince. If you remember anything at all, then you would know before I left you and your wretched kingdom, I was just as good as Kunzite. You are no where near our skill level with a blade, especially as you are now."
He glanced at Zoisite for a brief moment, wondering if his white haired lover would jump to the prince's aid or side. He expected it even though Zoisite was following his commands. The white haired Tennou, however, was amazingly clever and put on a brilliant act when he wanted to. 'He does this not for me but in hopes to keep his master safe,' he thought, slightly irritated.
"Today is night the day that you die, Endymion. And as far as Beryl is concerned, do go ahead and kill her. Her use will soon run out," he added a bit cryptically. A slight grin played on his lips as he enjoyed the thought of someone else ridding him of Beryl. He did not care to have her blood staining his clothes. He had been considering having Mio or even Zoisite kill Beryl for him but letting the Sailor Senshi do it was an even better idea!

Relieved that Danburite had no intention of fighting, Zoisite took a few more steps and stopped at Danburite's side. He turned, but still could not bring himself to look at his Master, so he glanced to the side at Danburite instead.

Rei also nodded, turning her head to face Minako. She could feel it; something was the matter. If anyone knew, it would be Rei. Rei and Minako went way back, for they'd always share things with each other that either the rest of the senshi never knew or would find out about at a later time. Perhaps she would mention something about it after their meeting was done and over with.
Looking back to Usagi, Rei pondered for a minute. "I agree with Makoto. We should be cautious. If Zoisite is also gone, then that's two very formidable foes. More than likely, Mamoru will not want to fight them, as he did his best to save his Shitennou last time. I say we keep an eye on Mamoru. It seems clear that this is something between him and this Danburite person, as well as the others."

Finally, Usagi let out a sigh. There was just no arguing with the others, especially when they wouldn't trust her instincts. However, her eyes continued to gleam with stubborn defiance even as she spoke her next words. "Hai... we be on guard around Zoisite. As for Mamoru, let him decide if he will fight with us or not. We've lost Kunzite and who knows about Nephrite and Jadeite."
"Maybe Ami-chan could persuade Nephrite to join our cause if all else fails!" piped up Luna, who had been quiet for the bulk of the conversation. She was overwhelmingly proud of Usagi for showing some level of maturity and agreeing to resume her fight as a Sailor Senshi. And now, to try to lighten the mood, the youngest warrior had turned a teasing glance upon Ami.

Ami chan looked shocked for a second, then looked down at her shoes. "I.. I could do that." She fumbled upon her words. Is she serious? Her heart aflutter, she wasn't sure if she could face him yet.

Minako decided to jump in at this point. "While I'm not against working with them," she said, "I don't think we should rely on the Shitennou. If Zoisite is the enemy, they may not want to fight him. If that is the case, they would be more of a hindrance than a help."
She turned and looked at Ami for a moment before continuing. "Also, I think it's wise that none of us get too close to them."

Jadeite stood up and brushed himself off angrily. How much more humiliation would he have to suffer today? He couldn't take much more. That Danburite! Who did he think he was anyways? Jadeite resisted the childish urge to yell back with an insult or two. He would certainly feel better, but in the overall scheme of things it would do no good.
Jadeite walked over to the girl. He felt like he should say something to her, but he had no idea what. He was at a loss for words for once. He took a deep breath, and hoped his face wasn't turning red. "Um... t..thank you..." What else could he say?
He turned around when he heard the sudden intensity of his Master's words. He had never heard Master sound like that, and it was quite intimidating. He took a moment to understand the situation before turning back to the girl. It looked like the immediate danger could be over for now, but he didn't want to take any chances. He spoke to her."You should get out of here."

"Why?" was all Naru could utter, at a loss for words herself. Not that she was asking why she should leave. Her self-preservation instinct was screaming the very same thing. Rather, what she could not fathom was why these horrible things were happening all over again. Why did their quiet little city have to be put through more devastation? She had not been unaware of the happenings of the previous year or so but she had not given them much thought while Sailor Moon was protecting the city. But now, knowing it was Usagi going around, facing all these horrible creatures, she could not help but worry for her friend's safety. "Why is all of this happening again? Why does Usagi-chan have to constantly put her life in danger these days? Why do any of us have to?"
