DarkReaper40k Or at least, Ulthwe still does. cool I refuse to play ulthwe. They're broken. At least when I fought them. It was something like 20 wraithguard 2 wraithlords and 2 farseers. Total cheese.

Ulthwe have the same ammount of acces to wraith Gaurd an dLords as any other Eldar army unless you use the strike force.

lightandshadow13 still now that the ulth'we farseer is killed what next? new charaters Eldrad Ulthran is dead? When did this happen? GW Can't make new characters for the Eldar! The Phoenix Lords are awesome! No one can ever replace them. crying

Eldard got killed trying to retrive a Talisman of Vaul.He had his souls sycked out of him by she who thirsts.
There may be a new Phoenix Lord for the Warp Spiders.

The Phoenix Lords are awesome! No one can ever replace them. crying It is true that the Phoenix Lords cannot be replaced and they are cool looking but overall Phoenix Lord Asuryan is the best. True that someone like Muagan Ra can have a St of 7 in close combat, but really who is crazy enough to put him and a squad of Dark Reapers in hand to hand. Plus he has a a Shuriken Cannon, which is not the greasts heavy weapon, jsut a cheap one. Now if you gave him a missile launcher or better yet a Starcannon then he can truly be called the Harvester of Souls. I am surprised that Eldrad is dead. Me we mourn his loss.

Eldar DO get a lot of new models in their next release. They have an HQ that has completed all the aspects of Eldar society, and as such has access to most of the equipment belonging to all of them.
As a psychic army, and 4th edition bringing psychic powers back to useful standards, the army should be rather nasty...
Guardians don't get a release, but most other things will. I hear there's a plastic wraithlord too. ninja Sure I posted this before.
Oh. and yes, there WILL be a new Avatar model. It is apparently 10 times better than "Mr.Gribbles", the current one.

Ophiuchus Eldar DO get a lot of new models in their next release. They have an HQ that has completed all the aspects of Eldar society, and as such has access to most of the equipment belonging to all of them. As a psychic army, and 4th edition bringing psychic powers back to useful standards, the army should be rather nasty... Guardians don't get a release, but most other things will. Hehe "Mr. Gribbles" thats a great way to describe him. new psychic stuff will be good too my seer council need to stretch their minds once in a while. and plastic Wraithlord now it will be affordable to get a second one. YAY.

My friend is thinking about getting into the Eldar, and unfortuantely I could not lend a hand in where he should start, other than a codex.
So if you don't mind, could a couple of you give me some hints I could give to him on where a good place to start in an Eldar army is? (Leaning on the shooting side, but he still wants units to counter when fighting gets "up close and bloody."
