Ren put her arms down. she stepped out and looked at the door, she saw the girl too. but she mostly saw her gold fox ears and gold hair. Ren blinked and twitched her ears. "she's not wearing glasses." Ren turned to Khane "i think you need glasses" then Ren turned to the door where the girl was and walked twards it. Amber noticed that the man with the gun noticed her. she jumped in suprise. then she saw all the other people. but the one that interested her the most was the girl with the wolf ears. her first instinct, from her fox was to attack the wolf. but her shyness made her stay where she was. she changed the shield into her glasses. she bent down and picked up the lenses and popped the lenses back into the frames. she cleaned the leanses by breathing on them and wiping them with her shirt. she put her glasses back on and noticed the wolf girl comming twards her. Ren walked up to the fox girl and saw her tail. then she saw that the girl was wearing glasses strange, she wasn't wearing glasses a second ago. Ren opened her mouth and spoke to the girl. "im Ren. who are you?" Ren wagged her tail. Amber looked up at Ren. "i-i-im Amber." she said nervously. she was scared of wolves and the fact that there was alot of tention between the man with the gun and all the others. she walked out and pushed the door closed by backing into it.she looked down at the ground, too scared and shy to look up. Ren crossed her arms and turned her head over her sholder. "her name's Amber. she's got fox ears and a fox tail. and i guess you were right, Khane, she's wearing glasses." Ren grabbed Amber's wrist and pulled her over to where the others were. Ren let go of her wrist and smiled at her. Amber saw all the people and froze up. she couldnt speak or move. she hated how shy she was, but couldnt controll it. her fox ears were folded back in fright and her tail was shaking.

Shiia stood still, trying to comprehend what was going on right in front of her. " Blood.......no blood.....stealing powers......fox girl.... " Reizo was acting strange. Nonchalante and unfeeling, the only two things that Shiia had never seen him act out. Was this the TRUE him or was it just another side of him she hadn't yet seen before now? This whole concept was tough to grasp and a part of Shiia wanted to disapper into a small hole, leaving the world to quarrel over their problems.
" Reizo....? " She moved towards him, somewhat worried. This Khane guy, he wasn't as harmless as she'd thought. Figures that she'd been wrong. She looked back over to Reizo only to see that his gaze never left Khane's demented eyes.
Shiia reached back for her bow, already strung. " This isn't going to end well. "

Khane shrugged. Blood didn't matter, so long as he got a hold of something with DNA, could just as easily be hair, skin, bone, so long as it held a genetic blueprint, he could adapt it."Then this is even easier, hold still while I pluck one of those hairs of yours. So long as I get some kind of genetic blueprint off of the person, living or otherwise, I can get what I need." Khane pulled his sword, pointing it at the girl, not even sparing a glance as the blade crackling with black and red energy, the exact opposite to the kind he had in his gun.

s**t... Reizo cursed to himself, his eyes averting back and forth between Khane and Shiia. What was he to do? Telling Khane his secrets would be a regretful mistake, considering that after that the game he had set up to play with Shiia would be lost by him at the start. He didn't want that to happen, but he knew he was already losing Shiia. Her voice contained that worrisome tone; the tone that seemed to express 'is this really you'?
However, Reizo knew that he was not acting like his true self at the moment. If he was he would've laughed at Khane spitting off snide remarks at him, instead of merely shrugging. "Go ahead." said Reizo, still acting as laid back as the situation allowed him. "That will only give you my power of shape-shifting. You won't be able to take the rest."

Khane smiled slyly."No, I wont even give me shape shifting. See, when I take a power, it's never exactly the same. For instance, when I stole Risa's powers, I couldn't create ammunition out of divine energy, so much as infuse things with it, like my preexisting ammunition, my sword, hell even my body. As an interesting side effect later though, I learned how to manifest the exact opposite of that energy, the kind that it coursing through the blade that is currently mere inches from the pretty one's neck. So I never know exactly what kind of power I'm going to get, but so far it hasn't turned out badly. I can increase my muscle mass a will, stand on the walls and ceiling like they were the ground, see in the dark, and turn into some horrible great wolf-beast, amongst other things." He put away his pistol, the white crackling energies dissipating into the air, pulling out his second pistol, the one that was bent. It wasn't made of any standard metal it was made of Shadow-Weave, and he had no idea how to re-forge it, or repair it."But slowly and surely I gain a better mastery over the powers that I steal, and eventually can use them better than the original owner, for instance, my neurotoxin comes from a small bright red and blue spider in the amazon, it used to be fairly weak, more of a sedative, now it can take down even full blown demons, and can melt most organic material. So if you are that object to me having the rest of your powers... an agreement can be reached. I need this repaired." He held the bent black gun aloft."It's of a higher priority to me than taking anyone's powers, and I have no idea who in this school knows how to repair things made of Shadow-Weave."

So Khane priority was not to take his powers? That was a relief. Though even if Khane did succeed in stealing his abilities to shape shift Reizo really did not mind. For shape shifting was far from the ability that he used on a normal basis. If he was unable to shape shift then his ability to fight would not be affected much at all. Darkness was the source that Reizo relied on, and that was one that could not be stolen. Overtime, Reizo being hundreds or thousands years old, had taught himself how to suppress the darkness within him so there would not be a single trace of it in his body. This trick allowed others not to know of his darkness, or take it. Though unlike other members of the Alliance, Kyoko did not control whether or not his demon was apparent.
"Shadow-Weave?" Reizo asked him in that casual way of his. "Dark magic correct?"

Khane nodded, offering the broken pistol grip-first to Reizo so he could look it over."Some b*****d bent it a little while ago, and I haven't been able to use it since. You know anything about this stuff? Magic was never my strong point, and I've only been alive three years anyway, so its not like I've had much time to learn."

Reizo grasped the grip of the gun in his hand, examining it closely. Yes, there was no doubt that dark magic would have to be used to put the gun back in it's proper position. However, helping Khane was something Reizo did not wish to do unless there was something it for himself. "I might be able to fix this..." He pointed out, saying it as if there was a possibility that he wouldn't be able to. "That is if you don't try to take my powers."

"I was under the impression that me not taking your powers would be a given if my gun was fixed. And if you need money, well... 'Screw the Rules, I have money' is kinda of my credo, so that's not issue. I also have a couple questions about the Alliance. Yes, I know about them, it's kind of hard for an organization like that to keep a low profile, there are bound to be slip-ups." Khane grinned, humming Ziggy Stardust under his breath, the thirty inch blade on his sword still hovering around the neck of the girl with the bow.

s**t s**t s**t. Reizo cursed to himself as Khane continued to speak. The more the man spoke the worse things were getting for Reizo. Shiia was learning too much, and he knew it. The only way that she would continue to stay in his presence is if she was some wreckless person who had lacked common sense. Then again, if he saved her that would probably earn him some bonus points.
"Put the sword down. I'll fix your damn gun." Reizo announced, not acknowledging Khane's mention of the Alliance.

"My sword will go down when she gets her hands away from that bow... no sooner and no later than that..." Khane was no coward, but he was no idiot, someone drawing a weapons in his blind spot could prove nearly lethal given a good shot was taken. Reizo seemed to be getting more and more on edge. He was pressing the right buttons."So about the Alliance..."

Reizo's eyes wandered over to Shiia, who was still ready with her bow and arrow. Idiot. Reizo said to himself as she watched her. Didn't she realize that if not even Reizo was getting ready to attack that she shouldn't herself? Ah well, the girl probably didn't know all the tricks when it came to combat. However, that wasn't the true issue at hand. It was the Khane's knowledge of the Alliance that needed to be watched.
"You say that as if you know I'm in it."

"I don't hear you denying it..." Khane grinned, it was time for his favorite game, cat and mouse, even more so when neither players knew who was the cat and who was the mouse."So, how bout you tell me a little about this infamous Alliance of yours, and maybe, just maybe, I don't completely obliterate everything in a 10km radius with a tactical orbital bombardment from the Goldwind company Ion Cannon satellite system..." Was he bluffing? Was it worth the risk of calling it? If he wasn't bluffing, would he really do it? The answer to these questions, and more, on the next installment of Khane: Freaky Genetic assassin dude from the dorm room you cant find.

Shiia took her hands of her bow. It was making a little more sence now. Khane just wanted his sword to be fixed, but really, there was no need for him to pull out his gun on Reizo. Now, the fuse seemed to be defusing itself as Reizo was anxiously looking over the sword.
" He wasn't this anxious before. What's different that is bothering him so much? " She wondered as she saw an all-knowing smile on Khane's face. " What is he mumbling about anyway? Something about.....an allience of some sort? " She cocked her head to the left a bit, making her seem even more interested.
" Wait a sec. What's the Allience? " She directed her question towards Khane.
