i m o g e n C r a y o l a D; My bed must be, like, shock proof. I felt nothing! Was it in NorCal or SoCal? :late reply: Mostly, NorCal. It started out from around the San Francisco area and spread outward all the way to Concord and Lafayette. I don't think I would have really paid attention either had I been sitting on my bed. xD Ah, so I suppose I wouldn't have felt it all that much since I'm all the way down in LA.

This thread's been dead for about three weeks. What the hell? It used to be so popular...
So to kick it back alive... today's Sakura's birthday, and also my highschool graduation! Isn't that great?
Um... we should really look for topics...

I graduate high school in about two months from now. How is post-(high) school life for you?
Thus is my attempt to breathe life into this thread.

It's great so far, thanks. I'm happy I get to rest after that grueling senior year, but now... I feel the weird urge to study. Seriously. After not studying for a month already, I kinda miss doing homework and lab reports and stuff.
Now I have to prepare for college. I have to buy me some necessities... make sure my application requirements are ready and stuff...
My dad finally got me a new cellphone to replace my old ratty one. My mom said she might give me a laptop and an iPod for college, but I'm not entirely sure about this one. I hope she does, though - I don't want to have to say goodbye to Gaia.

I loathe writing up those things. n__n Laptop + iPod = heart Though I don't have an iPod. ZEN mp3 foreverrr. xD <3

I used to have an mp3 player but my younger sister lost it somewhere in the house, and she can't find it anymore. Argh. I need that iPod baaaaad. But I'd be okay if my parents gave me an mp3 player too. I just need portable music.

Man, this week has been awfully depressing. Like, everywhere I go, everyone's talking about the Virginia Tech Massacre. crying
And since it's been on topic for so long, I decided to read up on the recent news regarding the situation. I even looked through the pictures. All 400-something.
And jeebus, I want to sit in the corner and emo out now.
Especially when I got to the part about the professor. It's depressing that one of the remaining Holocaust survivors was one of the victims (and heroes).
Is anyone else hearing about this everywhere? (PS: My post is not included in "everywhere." xP )

Virgina tech has also been the talk at our school. I agree. It's such a sad event and incredibly disheartening for many. My mother was crying when she was watching the events unfold on the television. I myself couldn't help but feel horrible. Imagine what it must have felt like for those students who had to pretend to be dead in order to avoid the bullets. That must have been an awful experience and I seriously get this sick feeling in my stomach every time I think about it. No, not because I'm going to start dorming myself next year, but the fact that what happened is not what should have happened. Many of these students were seniors and were ready to gradate with double, triple majors. They were so young in age and then this had to happen to them and their families.
Truly horrible. And I agree; how the one professor (the Holocaust survivor) stood, blocking the doorway to protect his students was heroic.
