The twisted thing was that Zachary wasn’t putting on an act. He cared about his experiments especially ones that he liked or amused him as the bird had done so far. He just happened to find watching pain in progress simply delicious. He undid the straps around Makoto’s head so that he could move his neck. Then he fetched a beaked with a clear liquid in it, which looked and had the consistency of water the only difference being that when you sniffed it you could smell a faint tint of ginger and it had a hot spicy but sweet taste. “Lift your head up and drink this Maki.” DR Zee instructed with a smile. “It’ll make you feel strong again.”

Makoto let out a whimper.. He wanted to die so badly to be released from this pain, but even if he did try to kill himself he'd only come back as a child.. The pheonix blood running through his veins would make sure of that. Avarice hadn't put too much of it, just enough to make Makoto immortal. Being able to reuse a subject over and over was a marvellous thing wasn't it? Makoto took a drink of what Zee had given to him, not saying anything anymore. He wasn't in shock, but he was close enough.

Tohei-Night [repost!] Daemon was silent for several moments, examining this creature. After a long pause, Daemon spoke, his voice scratchy with disuse. "Daemon." The snake tightened around him and hid its head in his shirt. He gestured to the snake. "Fleance." Murdoch's golden eye which was embedded in his chest looked him over once more. He reached out a bony hand with long nails towards Daemon. "Come here boy, I cant see you very well." He grinned again, showing his fangs.

At first, Daemon did not move. He merely stood there. Fleance refused to leave his master, but he was very afraid and wished that Daemon would not do as the other creature asked. The minutes passed by before Daemon moved forward, growing quite close to the creature.

Murdoch looked him over, that morbid grin still lining his face. "Such a hadnsome boy...so sad you're here," he said in his raspy voice. "You should hope you get one of the kinder scientists, or you'll end up like me. An old creature who was once human like you." He coughed and spit some dark blood onto the ground.

Daemon stood there and let him speak. He listened, but he didn't care about what he said. Perhaps he would get hurt like this. Perhaps he would end up in a dungeon, chained to a wall. He didn't care. That's what he kept telling himself. He was silent long moments and then he reached up and wiped at the blood on the creature's lips with his thumb.

Murdoch's head went up in his direction, his expression seemed to look surprised, but without his eyes it was hard to tell. "Why did you do that?" No one had ever wiped his blood away or shown him even a hint of compassion, even if it was just a simple thing like that.

Daemon's lips flickered slightly in something resembling a smile before he pulled his hand back down, the creature's blood still on his thumb. "Because. You coughed up blood." He whispered in that misused voice.

Murdoch drooped his head again, "But I always cough up blood, I'm missing organs so it's normal." He grinned and looked back up his eye moving with his head, "Just hope you dont end up like me, kid."

Daemon blinked. This creature was interesting. Fleance pulled his head out of Daemon's shirt and looked up at the creature. He realized slowly that the creature before him and his master was n ot dangerous...Fleance began to slither from Daemon's arm, chest, and neck and moved onto the creature, licking his cheek with his forked tongue.

Murdoch grinned, "Nice pet, kid," his voice rasped. He brought one of his chained arms up and stroked the top of the snakes head with a long fingernail.

"Not a pet." Daemon whispered. "He just follows me wherever I go." The snake twisted a few times around Murdoch's neck and then slithered back over to Daemon, wrapping himself around Daemon's chest and arm. Daemon was silent for a while before asking the question that had eneterd his mind the moment he saw the creature. "Who did this to you?" His voice sounded disinterested and extremely quiet, but his mind was going crazy, trying to find the answer.

Murdoch grinned and chuckled in his raspy voice. "Many scientists, I've been here since the beginning. They've done everything to me. That's why I'm falling apart." The yellow orb looked up at Daemon, then back down.

Daemon blinked slightly, considering this creature. "Is there no hope of changing you back?" he asked. He was beginning to like this creature, but he wouldn't admit that. He blinked his pale eyes, his white-blonde hair covering one eye as he tilted his head to the side.

OOC: whee introduction of my Hayden wee!
IC: Stormy gray eyes framed with long, dark lashes fluttered open, then grimanced in pain. Those same eyes eyed his naked form as he layed on a cold metal table.
Hayden, experiment #00100, merely remembered being dragged into the Death Room due to his insolence.
Hayden didn't want to go to the lab to be altered anymore.
But it looks like he didn't have much of a choice.
He examined himself through a mirror and nearly screamed.
WHAT THE HELL DID THEY DO TO ME?! he screamed in his head instead, his now golden eyes widening.
Hayden let out a wildcat roar and he felt his body slowly shape himself into a feline form.
A panther... To be frank.
Fur, paws, teeth and all.
The damn scientists messed with his DNA... again.
He desperately tried to calm down.
Hayden breathed in and closed his eyes.
In a matter of moments he was back into his old form, his elven ears sticking out of his long, dark red hair.
He was on all fours, then he sat down, his naked bottom jumping slightly at the coldness of the tiles.
He grimaced again, his body still being extremely tender and sore.
Hayden shook his head in disbelief."Half elf... Half feline... What's next?" He growled, "Fur balls?"
