Saint-Saens Nappy Thanks!!
I'm terrible at low notes. Amazing playing them on the bari, but it's difficult for me to go lower than a D on alto. Mostly because the music is usually in some low dynamic level. I'm hoping that a non-student-model-saxophone will help with that a little bit. I have an..."advanced" model I guess. Or professional, I can't remember. It's a Yamaha YAS 62-II. Professional.
I'm actually looking to get something of that sort this summer. smile

I'm actually looking to get something of that sort this summer. smile I've had it for a year, and I really like it. The...low B pinky key is a little bit bent near the roller thing, but that was my fault. I really don't know how that happened. sweatdrop It has a couple of dents in it, but it plays well. It's grown on me. heart

It's been dropped in the stands so many times...I'm so sorry, baby! *Hugs saxophone*
But when I get my new one I'll keep the old one and march with it. :3

only depends on where the dents are. If they're minor and just on the surface of the general bell then nothing big should happen. if it's near a sound hole or on a major part of the keys making then misalign then you got a problem.

Nappy Okay. Apparantly I'm looking at this saxophone. YAS-82Z. Anyone know anything about it? The Z models are awsome horns, great responce and tone quality. They're backed by alot of great jazz artists as well. I know alot of guys who have been playing on Selmer Mark VI's and decided to switch to the Yamaha Custom Z because it held out pretty well. My sax teacher even plays his new one over his old Mark VI.
