History: When Rikku was three years old, her parents attempted to send her to a monestary to learn the ways of christianity and become a nun. She spent four years there, until the monestary was bombed. A man in his twenties happened to find her among the rubble the next day, took her in, and brainwashed her into thinking she was his little sister. Rikku stayed with him a couple of years until eventually her teachers suggested to attend a better school because of her prodigy like qualities in Math, English, and Science. Long story short she was sent to Ria High School.

Her mother died during childbirth and she was raised by her father who was the leader of a band of mercenaries. She started to learn how to fight with a wooded sword by the time she was five. She moved up to a real blade when she was seven and by the time she was nine, she was learning multi-sword combat. Her father died due to the infection of a sword would on his chest when she was 14. After that, the band of mercenaries disbanded and she left the village roaming the land. She worked alone after that, being a mercenary as that was the only job she ever knew since she was a child. She made just enough to get by and was a wanderer, never staying in one town longer than it took to finish a job. One day she was travelling in the desert and she met her master fighting some bandits. Since then, she has worked under her master. Until one day she gets a letter in the mail to attend the very same school her master attends.

(The sleeves just barely hang on her shoulders) Along with the top, she wears black finger-less gloves that lace up on the side and reach up to her elbow and a black, easy-to-move-in skort. She wears black boots that lace up in the front and they have 2 buckles on the top, to the side. (oh- and i forgot to mention she has a deep purple belt that hangs loosely by her waist)

Personality: Cheery, bubbly, upbeat and outgoing. It's really rare to see this girl shy, unless, of course, it comes around her crush. Karin is a sweet girl, who enjoys seeing others smile and laugh. She also loves cheering for others, whether it's during P.E or during a boy situation, she's always there for others.

Character Looks(Hair color, eye color, etc. Try to give as much detail as possible, please.): 6’0 with long black hair, cold blue eyes, and thin face. His nose is slightly reminiscent of a hawk and his small mouth is usually in a terse frown. His left eye looks a little strange and has three long gashes, now dark scars, across it. He wears simple leather armor and one gauntlet on his right hand. The other hand has a black glove with a strange rune marked upon the top of it in gold. He wears steel-tipped boots and a long dark cape, pinned to him by use of a Fire Gem brooch around his neck.

Personality: Kyton is dark beyond normal parameters. Acting emotionless at times and at others, being susceptible to great surges of grief for those he loves. Full of rage and fighting prowess…Kyton is a dangerous enemy…but a loyal friend. He does not know the word defeat and retreats only reluctantly. Being very keen, he never attacks full out…always a sneak strike first…when his enemies will not expect him. Lately however he has found a measure of light within himself and at some times can be cordial and slightly positive, but never losing his overall dark outlook on the pain of life.

History (if your characters has one, This may increase in your stay here at Ria High): As a boy he was a grim child with a pessimistic outlook. He was however very strong and was an adept in BladeSong (not D and D BladeSong…more magic mixed with swordsmanship…kind of like a warmage.)

In fact, he had partially mastered his own style of Black Flame Bladesong at the age of 15. Unfortunately war arose in the east and he and many others were called to quell it. He left, promising the girl he loved at the time he would be back for her, and his parents (whom he never showed much affection but cared for very much) that he would return as a hero in their honor. Lastly he bid farewell to the girl he cared most about. His little sister, now no more then 12 who had followed her brother since birth and looked up to his every action.
Kyton took almost unimaginable delight teaching her and playing in the creek by the side of the village and it was she who Kyton would miss most. Before he left she gave him a crystal pendant, much like a blade, to wear about his neck for protection…although the multicolored glow it can give off would be disastrous for any true reconnaissance and eluding of the enemy, Kyton has never taken it off.
He went to the war and became a decorated hero, single-handedly defeating at least 4 key generals and the opposing side’s most decorated hero. During the course of the war, which lasted three years, (making him 1 cool he saw many horrors that both shocked and warped him. At the end of the war he found that a peaceful life would no longer appeal to him. He figured it would die down in time but instead of returning right home he wandered around for another year as a mercenary.

It was in a fight against a black dragon known as Rasakanaga that he lost his right arm. Friends from his glory days in the army fashioned a golem arm out of enchanted mithril…it acts as a normal arm and even looks normal when viewed in the correct light. Still, it cannot be broken except by powerful magic and is possessed of almost god-like strength (that of perhaps a full grown red dragon or a Storm giant.)
Unfortunately, BladeSong cannot be used with an artificial arm so Kyton’s right arm is incapable of casting spells. Only his left hand and arm can still perform BladeSong and because of this, Kyton became a two-weapon fighter. Many other abilities were imbued within him as well. One eye, taken out in a massive skirmish against orcs was replaced by an orb that will allow him to see things unhidden and tell if items or weapons are enchanted or not. It can tell truth from lie, and identify auras and magic trails. Luckily it looks as his other eye does due to clever illusions cast by himself.

The cape is resistant to most heat based attacks and in the dark of the night, will turn him into naught more then a shadow across the ground. The glove on his left hand enhances his magic and can catch weaker magic spells, absorbing its effects into his own mana supply. The boots have runes of speed inscribed on their heels and he can move at least thrice that of a normal mortal…thrice the distance as well. His leather armor is enchanted against cold steel but it is an old spell and close to wearing down.
When Kyton returned home (followed by two comrades from the battle, a chain katana assassin, and a half-orc berserker.) He found only chaos and destruction. Everyone was dead…his parents, his lover, and most importantly, his sister. Shocked and broken beyond anything the war could do to him, Kyton’s soul…the soul attempting to heal from the horrors of war…died. When Kyton looked upon the scene again, he did it with the coldness that he had surveyed dying children and women on the battlefield around him during the war.
All that he had to live for was gone and now all that was left was revenge. Bidding his half-orc friend to stay behind and bury the bodies, Kyton ordered the assassin to gather intel on whomever did this. His magic eye pointed the way to the one who did it and the assassin left. Two days it took till the assassin returned with news of the wolf-girl elemental and her friends…Kyton found he didn’t want her death…especially when he heard she was cursed and could simply deny her hope…take away her purpose for living as she had taken his from him. Going on alone, the 18 year old hero of war…twisted by horrors unimaginable and having nothing else to live for….Kyton stalked the wolf girl…determined to make her suffer beyond all measures.
Through a cataclysmic battle with unexpected results, Kyton was forced to join up with his enemy for a common goal. After the goal was complete however he found he could not kill her. Defeated and in dark despair he left, becoming a wandering mercenary…fighting battles that have little hope of survival, hoping the next one will take his life and give him peace forever. He no longer knows how to heal himself and has found himself at the gates of Ria High…perhaps here he can finally learn other arts then battle and perhaps ease the tortured pain that wracks his heart.

Any weapons/armor you have(You should not have very much as a beginner, and you should earn more through rping. Same goes for the next two.): Kyton possesses two swords of almost legendary reputation. One is a massive broadsword upon his back. It has never been able to be used before due to its incredible weight due to its construction (pure DragonSteel) DragonSteel weapons are swords that incorporate the sometimes unwilling souls of dragons into their construction, imbuing the sword with an enchantment of fire and frost to be used at the users discretion. He who uses it is also granted draconic characteristics, including wings if used for too long. As of now, Kyton only shows little effect. His skin is a little more resistant to magic and his right eye’s pupil (the non-magic one) is a tad more elongated, like a cat’s. His other sword is a blade he had brought to war and had enchanted by many powerful mages. It gives off electrical energy and is much shaper then normal swords. Plus it is heavily in tune with Kyton’s BladeSong and further augments his spells upon them. The sword design is a scimitar with a black hilt and silver scabbard. Though for his stay at Ria, he has stored his powerful weapons away, wanting nothing to do with their bloody past for the time being. He possesses a well made scimitar he himself forged and an minor enchantment broadsword (imbued with the power of sending a shockwave of electricity through a target upon impact at his discretion.)
Any items you have: The cape aforementioned, though ragged at the edges and worn looking. He wears his boots only during times of battle, opting instead for simple moccasins, and he has also stored away the glove in one pocket of his cape, seeing no need to wear it.


Any battle skills/magical powers you have: Kyton has the magic of BladeSong in his left hand, allowing him to cast all sorts of spells to augment his attack or defense. His right arm is mythically enchanted for colossal strength and could crush a diamond. He also posseses a left hand glove that increases the power of his spells and banishes weaker ones, though he uses it rarely as he smells too much blood upon it. His most powerful BladeSong spell takes his rage and uses it to cloak his left sword with hungry black flames. It takes a great toll and is used rarely, but the flames are borne from a realm both of divine and accursed, able to cut through almost any item, regardless of enchantment and capable of untold devastation. Fortunately, it lasts but a fifteen-minute time period and when exhausted, will render Kyton completely exhausted for at least three days afterward. It is only used as a last resort and thus far, Kyton has used it only twice. His magic eye can also boost his power when his life is especially endangered or he is full of rage, taking on an emerald fire that will rise from it like a pyre.
In case of hand to hand combat, Kyton trained under a monk tutor for two years of the war, making him an adept at his chosen style of simple acrobatic combat.
Character Flaws(You must have at least two.): A sucker for a sob story and though hesitant to trust, is unfortunately quick to fall in love. He also thinks nothing of his own safety in situations, making him an imbecile that takes unnecessary risks.

She seems always happy but she is quite lonely inside, because of her parents death. She always thinks about them.

History: Katie was young when her parents died, but that didn't stop her from being outgoing and talkative at school. She was looked after by a an orphanage, and she had always had the ability to mind read and movethings with her mind, she only recently developed controlling the elements. Later when Katie turned 13 the orthanage was abandond and Katie left and lived at the boarding school with her best friend. Recently she had recieved a letter from Ria High School informing her that she has been accepted to the school.

Her Eyes are a beautiful blue violot color with specks of silver in them. Her eyes also will take a red sheen when she is particulary angry or upset. Her skin is a nice creamy color but she has been known to get a slight tan now and again. She grew up to have a very nice figure and is of slim build.

After they found out about her stange power her father sought to rid himself of the problem by killing her. Her father was killed when her brother found him about to shot his twin and killed him. Thier mother, distraught by what her husband had tried to do covered it up and moved them to a new town where they would hopefully never have to deal with the memories of that day. Forbidin from mentioning her father Duet sought to make new friends and forget what happened. After a few months though word got out and they were forced to move again. this time Duet would go to a new school, on called Ria High.
