hey i play trombone and tuba. woot. my fav. piece to play on tuba is marrige to figaro. can any one give any advise on bass trombone? next year im moving to bass trombone for jazz band.

I'm getting a trombone soon for jazz band ( a new one, Henry is retiring)
and I'm wondering if there's a specific brand for jazz I should be looking at?

Tarinsa trombone is the best!! heart heart Trombone rocks!! I switched to it this year, way back in the beginning, and it's a really fun instrument to play, i love it mrgreen

HI i'm new here... i play quite a variety of instruments, but my favorite has to be the Euphonium! woo go euphonium!
tuba-1 1/2 years
euphonium- 2 1/2 years
trombone- 2years
trumpet-7 years
i somehow managed to get top chair in all of them but trumpet... a senior beat me out my freshman year on trumpet before i switched.

I've been playing the trombone for almost six years now. I've also played the cello, violin, and trumpet, but I only play the trombone now.

Just to warn you, marching with the trombone is scary at times because of how close you are to the people in front of you.

Not to mention pep rallys...Ours is in a gym where we barely clear the people's heads in front of us. biggrin
Also, the colorguard can be dangerous...especally when they're spinning their flags not three feet from you. sweatdrop Somebody was actually hit this year...but I digress.
Oh ya, and I play Trombone biggrin
