Boone unfolded the blancket Shannon had took so it would also cover hi legs up. Hoping she wouldn't mind, he passed his arm over her shoulders again and held her close. He rested his head against her's and closed his eyes.

"You're welcome. If you need anything..." Jack trailed off.
He nodded politely once more and walked over to the other side of the caves, leaving the two siblings to their own devices. He sighed and sat back against a large rock. It was going to be a long nine months but Jack made a pact with himself to be on top of the situation for the duration.

Charlie turned as Sayid came running onto the beach.
"I've got the radio! I got it to work!" Sayid was shouting.
Charlie's heart slammed in his chest, maybe this was their hope for getting off the island! Maybe they were finally gonna get to go home! "Did you talk to anyone?" Charlie shouted.
Sayid shook his head running over to him and stopping, gasping for breath. "Here . . .I think you should be the one to talk in it." He replied.
Charlie shook his head. "Not here. We have to gather everyone together."

Jack looked up at the sky overhead as the sun moved slowly from east to west. He watched Shannon and Boone, occassionally laughing, making it seem like nothing was out of the ordinary. Still, no matter what kinds of distractions there were, Jack couldn't find it in himself to allow some simple thoughts in place of the usual chaos that took place in his befuddled mind. He ran a hand over his eyes and walked over to the waterfall. Jack kneeled at the edge and stared at his reflection in the water for a moment before splashing his face with the cool liquid. He sat back on his haunches and wondered if his life would ever constituted 'normal' again...
((ah, yes, introspect. gotta love it. Anyone needs Jack, he's at the waterfall. you know the drill... 3nodding ))

((actually that's true. I've been pretty useless and lethargic all day. Meh. Ooh! Well, let's see who is here right now. Me (Jack), you (Shannon) and Movie_fanatic (Boone). We have three central characters that have been rather involved in the plot lately. Why don't we start some kind of a ball rolling there? Deepen the drama. Since Locke's not talking, I was thinking maybe either Shannon or Jack asks Boone what happened out in the jungle and start something there...Idea?))
