Parvati Upon your entry to the office, indeed for your entire trip up the Sero, tiny buds had been slowly swelling above your head, trailling in your wake, but wilting as well. You never stayed still long enough to notice, nor for them to fully grow in your precense. They died in your absence, leaving only mulch for the tree to fertilise with, though at some later date. But now, stationary in the lobby full of desks and human-sized bulbs, one has been given the time to grow above you. It gets to be the size of a child before it falls, landing in a squelching, rubbery mass. You hear fluids rock and swirl with some thick viscosity, but none of it leaks out. A womb undisturbed, its precious cargo still rolling gently just a step away from your feet. It looks sickly, malnourished. It rocks, as though it wants to move closer to you, but its feeble attempt is pitiful and unsuccesful. In the silence of the room, you hear something thick and solid swirl through slime and clots. If you paid attention, you'd hear a solid thud of something inside hitting the ground through its rubbery shell at your question regarding the strange, metal, pieces.
Sev As you call out to the still room, thick with a slick kind of moisture, you hear a small rustle above you. It looks like the pods around, but its tiny, no larger tha a grapefruit, and it's dangling from a vine - only barely still attached by a split stem. It's colour is off, however. A sicklier type of yellow to those around you, and its 'skin' is shrivelled - skin held in water for too long, and perhaps just as soft, if you could reach the ceilling, the tangle of vines lacing across it. In the frail light of chakra running through the numerous, tiny seals streaking from the office, you see the pod shivers, but otherwise appears too frail to continue its efforts.
Rinka The piece of metal fit snug into the vines - especially when they twisted their own off-shoots to keep it in place. The metal piece is the Sero's now, gleaming in the light of chakra flowing through eblazoned seals, flowing like water from the walls around the Mizukage's office door.

Parvati heard something from the next room, she took a step back and noticed that the room was slowly coming to life. Just like the assumed before: This Room, the metal things and the Sero was all connected. Her eyes fell back to the strange swirling viscous mass and kept her distance from it, seeing what she has seen so far; she just had more questions. Seeing how the Sero reacted to the metal object and the noise... there was only one thing on her mind “ We need to find more of those. “
She approached Sev again “ I’m Parvati, where did you get that? “ She had no idea about how to get one but she was going to try “ I feel like all of this is closely connected. “
Takumi stood by with the small crew as Severin arrived. His question seemed to indicate that it was irregular to be inside the area currently. " Yes, I've been here the entire time. This group moved in shortly after. I was attacked by some thing that impersonated our Mizukage." He nodded, agreeing with his own statement. It seemed Sev seemed to notice the divot in the wall before the rest had. He pulled out an object that looked vaguely similar to what Takumi had retrieved from his Inka imposter. Takumi would move forward to come shoulder to shoulder with Sev, reaching in his jacket's pocket to pull his own shard, placing the next piece of the puzzle like key into place as the chakra poured like water in the room around them.
At the same time, Takumi pocketed a letter that would arrive by raven at the strangest of times, his eyes quickly scanned it, seeing it was from his acquaintance Belamos. He would respond to it once the chaos the current event subsided.
Placing the part of the emblem in the slot in the wall seemed to garner him the attention of the three other people in the room, two of them actively questioning him about it while the third-- another lighter haired male --approached and also placed his portion of the emblem in the slot. It fit like it had always somehow belonged there, and Severin couldn't help but note that as something odd. Reaching up to grab his chin and stopping to think, twenty-something year old male paused for a moment before responding to the questions thrown to him. "It seems that several people, though there doesn't seem to be much of a correlation outside of us all being shinobi, have been visited by pods much like the ones encasing everyone else in this room. These pods then split open, revealing a twisted copy of our Lord Mizukage which I have taken to calling Shadow Inkas.I'm not sure how others managed to defeat theirs, if they even have other than me and this gentleman here-- but I managed to take a pacifist's route and talk down my Shadow Inka. He eventually withered away in to nothing more than a grostesque flower, leaving my metal peace in it's rib-cage like filaments...." Sev seemed to space off for a second before shaking his head lightly, finally answering Parvati's question.
"Ah, I'm sorry. Please mind my manners, I'm Severin Raigyou. I'm a gennin such as yourselves. I had been in the hospital previous to this due to an incident with a fellow shinobi..." Severin suddenly frowned, realizing that Kumotake was out there somehere, probably still fighting a shadow inka of his own. "I had been with one of Inka's shadow clones before the Sero decided to flair up.... It seems to have disappeared, and I'm very worried about the Mizukage. He turned once again to look at the door, his ice blue hues focusing on the indentation in it. "I'm hoping perhaps the real Inka might be behind this door. Operating on the suspicion, we should attempt to gather more of those pieces..." Hesitating before looking around, Severin tried to gain more clues on the situation. "There must be more somewhere around, or we'll have to go find the other shinobi that have gathered these pieces..."

[[even shorter post is even shorter]] Rinka continued to look around the pod littered room in wonderment as the rest of their make-shift group introduced themselves. Once everyone else had given their names, Rinka responded in kind. "I'm Rinka..." She hesitated for a moment to reflect on what Severin had mentioned about the nature of the pod clones. "So these things are copies of the Mizukage? Can four genin even hope to compete with these things? I'm all for finding these little metal shard things, but if we're fighting multiple mizukages, wouldn't it be best for us to just sit here?" Truth be told, Rinka was more than up to the challenge of facing the kage, even with minimal training and a mediocre grab-bag of tools and equipment. What she wasn't up for, however, was getting anyone else into danger that didn't need being in...
Parvati knew that the safe plan would be just to hang out in the Office until these ‘Shadow Inka’ passed... but she knew that might not be a choice after too much longer “ I feel like we should split up and find these Shadow Inka, it seems like they hold a piece to this. “ She looked around the room and back to Rinka “ I feel like if we hang here, things could get really hairy. “ She wanted to build the confidence of Rinka, Parvati was curious and almost frightened by the events in Kiri; she was determined to find a solution “ Maybe we should split up into a 2-man cell...” She took a step back so she could see everyone in her view, she knew that Takumi had a few Jutsu up his sleeve. Parvati hadn’t had any training herself
The sounds of a body dropping into water became further and further away as Kagerou ascended until, eventually, she couldn't hear it at all. It had stayed with her for such a long time, though, aided by the silence of the rest of Kagerou's small slice of life and the unease Kagerou's intuition attributed to the sound. Even after she stopped hearing the sound, Kagerou found herself looking outside of the Sero every now and then, wondering if maybe there was an invisible body falling past her right now, a body that would leave not even a ripple on the surface of the water it fell into. The water she drowned in. Of course, each of these moments of apprehension were quickly ended with a shake of her head as Kagerou continued to pace herself up the Sero.
The elevators of the giant tree were out of order, of course, so Kagerou worked the grueling climb up the stairs. She must have missed everyone else that came up, which was no surprise because she took possibly the least efficient route ever. No one was going to say that Kagerou checked every single nook and cranny of the Sero, but she almost did. If it hadn't been for the pull on the three shards she held, Kagerou would have spent even more time sending out messenger birds to those still awake, but if her shards were reacting this way, then she was sure the others would know what to do without her intervention.
It was eerie, the entire surreal experience. Pods littered the hallway, green cocoons Kagerou could only imagine held the other residents of Kiri. When she passed by her parents room, she had to wonder if one of them possibly held her mom or dad, and she felt the same when she passed by her uncle's room. her mind found its way to the worst possibility, and Kagerou couldn't bear to think any further than that. She backpedaled so hard.

She suddenly found herself remembering that sensation of abandoning, of running away. The words that echoed in her head had her slow to a halt and turn around to look at the countless pods that she had passed since entering the Sero. As she felt like she was leaving all of those trapped behind, Kagerou turned to look ahead of her, where even more entrapped residents lay. Then she looked up to remind herself that there was really only one way and it was forwards. Kagerou's hands clenched over the shards she held as she promised herself that she would hold no regrets no matter what the mistake because it was human to err.
Kagerou continued, and after so long without any strange occurrences, she had subconsciously settled into thinking that all she had to do was climb. Still, she would have been a shame to her mother's side of the family if she wasn't alert even when she thought she was done. She was racing up the last few flights, the final burst some might say, when she noticed a single door, one she almost never paid attention to because she wasn't meant for those doors, was open. It only took a moment for Kagerou to resolve that entering without permission was worth it. As soon as she passed through the door, a corner of her vision caught the sight of blood that shone like a jewel, like the eye of the Inka-lone. Kagerou sensed something off from the very beginning. Her head turned, but like with the sound of falling bodies earlier, there was nothing. The next trick was a glimmer of gold, like the other eye of the Inka-lone. Kagerou's peripheral vision registered hair, and somehow it also very clearly saw scalp and... sand? The office floor wasn't sand, though. Kageoru couldn't even feign surprise if she wanted to when she turned and saw nothing was there. It was, again, another genjutsu. Another, harmless genjutsu to do... what? Break her spirit? Fill her with misgivings? Misgivings that came more from her own suspicions?
Again, the shard whispered to her. Again, Kagerou found herself with more questions than answers. She could think about it for ages, or she could move on. She chose to move on. Today was just the day of picking the second choice, really.
It wasn't until Kagerou reached the landing of the Mizukage's office that she understood. Well, in truth, it had been a suspicion, but she who knew so little about who the Mizukage was as a person could not go all in on what amounted to little more than a hunch rooted in intuition.
Voices whispered from the desks of those that worked on the landing, most filled with pods, but a few without. Whispers that spoke... about her? No, not about a lowly genin. They had no reason to waste their breath talking about her behind her back like the echo from the shard claimed. Kagerou's grim face broke into a sad smile as the pieces came together. It used to be Jack and Shadow that held the spotlight. Now, with them gone, of course it had to mean Inka, the current Mizukage.
It was Inka who understood most of all that the eyes of everyone in the village judged him mercilessly.
It was Inka who could not save a blonde man from the ANBU.
It was Inka who had let a small girl drown.
At least, it was Inka who thought like that, or maybe it was the Sero, picking at his insecurities and revealing where he was most vulnerable. Whatever the case, something pretty terrible must be happening to him right now.
Well, that was some fun theorizing, but it was time to move on. Kagerou advanced cautiously. She placed her shards away and double checked that her left hand, which she had healed by now, was functioning properly despite the damage it had taken earlier. Her bells, of course, had to be on her wrist, but they were gripped within her right hand, their sound silenced. Nothing impeded her quiet approach, however. She didn't hear a sound until she pressed her ear against the door that led to the waiting room for the kage's office. She could hear muffles, not just indistinct whispers, on the other side.
Taking a small gamble, Kagerou released her bells so they would ring freely and opened the door in one motion. Her side, instead of her front, faced the doorway, but when Kagerou saw more people, awake and alive, her eyes lit up and that cautious purse of her lips spread into a smile. Among them stood Severin, and as he was the only one Kagerou recognized in the whole room, of course she greeted him first, "Severin," and then the others, "and everyone, hello." She was happy and her smiled proved that, but she couldn't quite muster excitement. That was a little hard to do when creepy pods were hanging down from the ceiling everywhere.
She took a moment to survey her surroundings, which were stranger than even the rest of the tower. Of course, at the end of it all, Kagerou's eyes settled on the door to the Mizukage's office, and the lock embedded within it. Others had already placed their shards of differing colors in. Kagerou, if she wasn't stopped, walked up to do the same, clearly and politely letting the others know, "Excuse me a moment." From her projectile pouch, she retrieved the three shards entrusted to her, two amber and one rose, and placed them within the circular clearing, wherever it was that they seemed to fit.
After relinquishing the pieces to the vines, Kagerou stepped back and... could only hope she had done the right thing. "Now we wait," she spoke mostly to reassure herself, "For the rest to come with their shards. After all, each Inka-lone really doesn't want someone other than their chosen to enter them." Blowing out a huff of air, she turned around to look at the others.

With neither extra effort nor decrease in power, Kagerou can affect two extra targets for each eiseijutsu activation as long as they fulfill the requirements to be a target (i.e. contact for most eiseijutsu by default or sound when Kagerou performs eiseijutsu). Past the starting two, she must spend a total of 5(n-3)+10 energy split evenly between chakra and stamina for each additional target; n = number of targets. Odd energy costs are split with 1 more point of stamina than chakra. This additional cost cannot be reduced or refunded.

The shinobi before him that had appeared pondered the situation the same as Takumi, their appearances weren't too far off from one another either. Takumi held a similar pose, tapping his chin with his gloved hand. "Interesting...I assumed as much when you yielded your own shard." Takumi would find their difference in the routes taken. Takumi had slain his own Inka clone as quickly as possible. Nodding once again, Takumi agreed with Severin. " Agreed, it only makes sense that the original be sealed behind this door...for whatever reason. I'm Takumi Saegahara by the way, a pleasure."
His introduction was tacked on quickly as he heard another pipe in. It was the newcomer, the short haired female with horns who introduced herself as Rinka. In response to her question, Takumi nodded again, chiming in. " The Shadow Inka as Severin has called them, are most certainly not at the same caliber as our Lord Mizukage, or at least I would hope not as I've slain mine in only a few blows. " His mind raced back to it begging for death as it withered away.
Pravati suggested they split into two groups in order to combat the remaining Inka and gather their shards. It wasn't a bad idea, Takumi would agree with it but before he could answer heard the ringing of bells as the door pushed open. His eyes fixated on the opening, awaiting whatever foe may step through. He relaxed, it was a kunoichi who called Severin by name, clearly some ally of the man's. She approached, not with one of her own but with three of the shards, inserting them all into the door. " Well, that's an interesting development." Takumi said to himself, wondering if the shards provided would be enough to crack the seal on the door.
Isla's heels clicked down the hallway of the Mizukage's building. She had never been here before and was unfamiliar with the layout. It took a few wrong turns before she finally got to where she thought she should be and just found a closed door with multiple people milling about outside. They seemed to be concerned with the growth of vines that had encased the door. Bypassing all of them, she stepped forward and knocked. After all, this could be normal for all she knew.

Parvati sat and thought about what the girl said and hearing Takumi speak. She turned to Rinka and smiled " Well, I guess that you were right. " She laughed to herself and looked back at the sealed door, she assumed from the noises that she hear earlier that Inka was behind this door. She looked around the room and thought about what the next move would be ' Let the waiting game begin. ' She walked to a desk and sat amongst the pods, they would just have to wait it out until other shinobi arrived.
Now that she was closer to a pod, she looked it over. The creature that made a feeble from one earlier and assumed when the girl spoke; thats what she meant. She laced her fingers together and started to concentrate, she knew that if they were going to play the waiting game; she was going to be prepared.

"Have you knocked?" A small voice asked. From the depth of the stairwell a mop of blond hair could be seen, reflecting the dull light of the multitude of ant-sized fuuin lines brimming with chakra. Alongside the young boy was a bulky form of silken fur - the Binturong named Itoko, the animal companion to Minowa Jaeger, son of Mizukage Godame Inka Hizara and Sandame Sypher Senju. Without any noise, both young boy and bearcat crossed over the numerous vines, pods, and what little clearspace of the wooden floors there was to the door leading to the Mizukage's office proper. "Papa says you can always knock if he's needed." Minowa spoke, voice calm and serene despite the situation. This wouldn't be a surprise to anyone as the 10-year old had lived through a savage, primal version of hell with only Itoko as his companion back when Kirigakure had been swallowed by a ball of pure chakra, morphing and mutating everything within - including physically aging Minowa beyond his real years.
Raising a pale hand, the Kage-son knocked a gentle pattern into the circle of vines, where metal pieces had yet to be placed. "May we come in?" Minowa spoke and Itoko gave a small howl to emphasise the need lacking in its partner's tone. "Please?" The ribbons of fuuin began to throb and wane erratically in response to Minowa's plea. The vines filling the office squirmed and scrapped their foliage and tiny thorns against bark and polished planks, furniture shifted and the unborn creatures in the pods above and below squirmed so hard the chunky fluids inside squelched with a sickening viscosity. The metal shards dropped from the circle entwined over the door with a mixture of metal clanging and rubbery plant material being squashed and bursting and braking like they were instead dry twigs. A small, golden flower bloomed over Minowa's head and the entry opened wide to let everyone in...

Rinka was about to speak up about their current situation, now that waiting was confirmed as the best possible solution, but her attention was quickly pulled away by the creaking of shifting vines as they gave way to the doors. Rinka did a double take between the door and the rest of the party, mouth agape and pointing at Minowa. She was at a loss for words, though this wasn't really an uncommon occurrence for the young Oni. "I... um... should we go?... the doors just... huh," she would stammer, stumbling over her thoughts, trying to collect them into a coherent response.
Not one, but two people came to knock on the door that everyone was trying to open. The first drew some surprise from Kagerou, but little more than a raised eyebrow and more from how, even in the middle of all of this, she just walked right past everyone, ignoring them. Well, as long as she didn't get hurt, Kagerou didn't really have reason to complain. Although, she did let the stranger know, "If you could be a little patient, we're currently dealing with something like a crisis right now," as she offered a friendly smile. The second, though, made Kagerou turn her whole body after she saw who it was, Minowa the one and only son of the Mizukage. Kagerou stepped back as Minowa approached the door and watched in surprise as the seal and vines proceeded to break away under the perfect manners of the boy before her.
While Kagerou did feel curious about the shards, what lay beyond the door intrigued her more. She peered through, and as she stood on the right side of the door, it was to the left that she first looked. There, she saw a sight that wiped whatever remnants of a smile she had managed to salvage. Ensnared by chains of fuuin that pierced his eyes stood the Mizukage, and then suddenly the rest of the room mattered a lot less. Barely registering the pods in cardinal directions from the Mizukage and the one further behind him, the medic's first reaction was to, predictably, run into the room and to the side of the injured with all due haste. She ignored the pods. Ignored the fuuin that spread across the floor. Ignored Jack.
Wait.
It was unacceptable for Kagerou to tunnel vision, regardless of the crisis, and she didn't. At the edges of their vision, red eyes caught sight of a pale man with black hair in suit and top hat. It was a sort of description she just naturally attributed to the previous Mizukage, the late Mizukage.
The befuddled kunoichi skid to an abrupt halt as she turned to confirm what she couldn't believe. Indeed, there stood Jack, with arms spread in welcome when he was supposed to be dead, killed by Shadow. Her eyes, just going with the flow, looked up to the chandelier of flowers that this unbelievable Jack motioned to and then back down to him as he began talking.
She had so many questions. She had so many suspicions. She felt such dread. To be honest, though, this was how she had felt throughout this entire crisis, as well as the previous crisis and the one before it. The green haired medic's piercing gaze locked with Jack's knowing for a moment, trying to search for an answer only to, in the end, feel like she had given up more than she had gained. Amidst all of her uncertainty, though, there was one thing Kagerou knew for certain. Speaking boldly to hide the rest of her doubt, the struggling chuunin let this Jack in front of her know what she thought, "Jack-sensei, if that is who you really are, I'm sorry but Inka-sama will not be giving up his life today, even if it is for your return. You... you even arranged for your own death..."
Then, after only a moment's pause, that once bold voice became much more demure as Kagerou, accepting how little she really knew, learned from child's wisdom and humbly asked, "So... I won't permit this ritual to continue, but I don't actually know how to stop any of this. Could you, by any chance, please tell me what needs to be done to reverse this?".
In truth, more than talking to this unknown Jack, the busy body medic itched to rush over to the injured Mizukage's side, but she had to remain calm. Severin was also a medic, so he would be helping Inka. Her little bit more experience than him meant little under these circumstances.

To clarify, they they gain a -5 chakra reduction every rank, to a maximum of -20 at sannin. All medical jutsu are still learnable by both sides, but the chakra control only applies to the chosen side.
• Grand Performance - The user can perform both types of arts (ninjutsu and genjutsu) through their performance or instrument, often casting them at the same time (must pay for both techniques). Can perform D rank techniques through instrument at gennin, C at Chunnin, B at jounin, A at Konin, and S at Sannin.
• Learn Medical techniques one (1) post faster.
• Learn ninjutsu (1) post faster.
• Learn genjutsu one (1) post faster.
• Miracle Performance - Kagerou can perform healing eiseijutsu through her performance/instrument as if it was ninjutsu of the same rank. When performing healing medical techniques, she can target anyone who can hear her music with the jutsu. I.e. she no longer has to be within touch range of the target to use healing hands.
• Calamity Performance - Kagerou can perform offensive eiseijutsu through her performance/instrument as if it was ninjutsu of the same rank. When performing offensive medical techniques, she can target anyone who can hear her music with the jutsu. I.e. she no longer has to be within touch range of the target to use killing hands. Harmful eiseijutsu cast in this manner is guaranteed to hit as long as the condition of sound is met, but it takes one post to manifest its effects. In that time, the technique can be nullified by matching the energy (chakra/stamina/whatever else) cost Kagerou paid to use the entire jutsu, including any extra costs for additions/modifications. Those afflicted by harmful eiseijutsu cast in this manner become aware that if they do not spend the required amount of chakra/stamina, then bad things will happen to their body. The target(s) will have a vague sense of how bad the damage will be, but do not know what exactly will happen.
• Dream Audience - Kagerou's dream is to help as many as she could. From this desire, the dream world manifested the power to multiply the recipients of all of her eiseijutsu techniques. With neither extra effort nor decrease in power, Kagerou can affect two extra targets for each eiseijutsu activation as long as they fulfill the requirements to be a target (i.e. contact for most eiseijutsu by default or sound when Kagerou performs eiseijutsu). Past the starting two, she must spend a total of 5(n-3)+10 energy split evenly between chakra and stamina for each additional target; n = number of targets. Odd energy costs are split with 1 more point of stamina than chakra. This additional cost cannot be reduced or refunded.
• The Good Host - 1/2 off all implant chakra requirements.
• Iryo-nin I - Kagerou receives a +1 dr [slightly modifier] to her eiseijutsu for each medical title earned. 2 medical titles = +2 dr [mildly modifier].
• Mind and Body I - A sound soul resides in a sound mind and a sound body. To ensure the health of all three, Kagerou must master every aspect of medicine. Kagerou gains an additional medical field type. The additional type needs to be trained separately from the first.

• Evergreen Growth - Life always finds a way, especially when it's helped by someone who truly cherishes it. Low-grade fertilizer yields crops in 1 week. High-grade fertilizer reaches a new level of fast and yields crops in 4 days. (Post-acceptance note: I just realized that there is an Evergreen religion in this guild. I did not mean for this to be a religious PA in any way. It's just botany. I hope that's not a problem.)

Takumi's gaze was fixated on the door that continued to glow, that was until another two presences entered the room or made themselves known. One was familiar, the other he had never seen. ' Damn Isla, silly girl.' He thought to himself. He had met her some time ago but wasn't much more than aquainted with her. How she slid into the room easily was a mystery. The other one though, the unknown intrigued him more. His blonde mop like hair shielded a clear view of his eyes, his figure was slender like Takumi's. Finally he would speak of Inka as his father. Takumi couldn't recall him personally as he wasn't native to Kirigakure but moved here some time ago, but it wouldn't surprise him. Besides, the others seemed to know of him.
The blonde boy moved towards the door, knocking casually with his companion at his side. The seemingly endless strings of seals that blanketed the earth began to throb, retracting themselves and the pods full of whatever creatures began to squirm in an attempt to free themselves. A flower would bloom as the door swung wide open, leaving their shards in the floor at their feet. Rinka would speak first, seeming to be in shock. Takumi glanced to her, nodding to answer her question. Too many mysteries and discoveries lied within, how could they not.
The Godaime Mizukage was ensnared in fuuin seals, his eyes crusted with dried blood that was now rust colored and ran down his cheeks. It appeared he too was a prisoner to the pod like creations that had been attacking the village. No. He was the source. Like a battery? The four pods surrounding him appeared to be either containing persons who attempted to escape or attacks from Inka. Just as he and Kagerou seemed to both be grasping a concept of what was going on, a new figure appeared. Logically, he would be the mastermind, no matter what he said. He had to be, nobody else was simply walking about in all this.
Then he spoke. Claiming his return to this plane would require Inka's life. Takumi's eyes widened. ' I can bring bodies back...but souls? How did he bring his own soul back? Is it possible to resurrect a soul?!' He thought, bewildered and astonished at the insight given. As interested as he was in the development, Takumi knew there was no time to investigate. There was an audience and the Mizukage's life was at stake. He would prepare to step forward and assist when Kagerou seemed to take a page from the child's book and simply ask. Takumi had his doubts. The child was referring to his father, not this man. Still, it wouldn't hurt to ask. Preparing himself to either assist in the battle or to assist in recovering Inka, Takumi drew his scalpel from his pack, ready to act when the time was right.
Kagerou arrived, which served to set the Raigyou male a bit at ease. Her words, continuations of his own, seemed to fill in the last bits that he didn't know about. A waiting game, it seemed... or at least it would have been would it not have been the appearance of a smaller pale-haired boy. Severin couldn't have recalled ever seeing him before, but he immediately knew who it was. It was hard not to know, the child looked much like he did when he was about that age. It was Sypher's and Inka's son; the resemblance would have been shocking if his younger self and Minowa had been standing side by side... His hair style at the time had been more fashionable then Minowa's adorable mop, a tad shorter too... Severin's eyes shied away from the young boy, Shadow Inka's words echoing in his head. 'You look too much like him. But you know that - how can you not? Are you playing with me?' Severin's jaw clenched, his hands balling in to fists, silent for once. He didn't know Minowa, he didn't know how the child would react to him; but he didn't want to chance seeing heartbreak in his eyes too.
Before anyone could probably get a solid chance to look at his reaction, the door split open under minowa's knock and it seemed like everyone rushed to look in at the same time-- everyone accept for Sev. When the doors opened enough to reveal the office within, the older male's whole body went rigid. They had been correct, Inka was inside the office the whole time. It was quite the sight, Inka being the origin of all the flowing fuin that seemed to decorate the sero like parasitic vines. Severin hesitated at first, set back by his conscious reminding him about what was socially acceptable from him, but the worry for his Mizukage overwrote that small voice and Severin jogged through the door, ignoring everything, ignoring the tall dark male that resembled the description that everyone gave him of the previous mizukage. Coming closer to the Fuin circle, Severin managed to get too close to one of the pods in the cardinal positions. Once again, like before when he had tried to crack one open, his seal set alight with pain that went down his entire arm.
Letting out a pained hiss, Severin moved away from the pod, then continued his approach to Inka. Finally coming to a stop by the dark haired male, Severin crouched beside him, worry in his eyes. "Oh Inka.... what have you done to yourself...?" He whispered softly, looking over the current Mizukage, to see if there was any physical damage other than the blood leaking from his eyes. He was afraid to touch him, afraid it would cause the seal to attack him. He balled his hands in to fists once again to fight off the urge to reach out to Inka, all while he faintly listened to Kagerou talking to Jack. Would this have been any other situation, he would have questions for the previous Kage as well. Questions about Sero, about what happened, if anyone ever found his mothers body... But his own selfish needs were pushed aside; it was okay if he never found out these answers, as long as Inka was okay. Not looking away from the seal-insnared man, Severin broke his silence. "I would have to agree, Yondame Mizukage. As much as I have many things to ask you, Inka is not dying today. Not on our watch."
