I most certainly know what Dyslexia is. I have friends who have it - and they have much better grammar and spelling than you. It is because they make an effort to make sure that their writing is proper and correct. So many people use the excuse of Dyslexia that it's just...Hard to believe anyone any longer. And even if you do have it with a little more effort...
As for definition of Mary Sue - I showed you some things that make her a Mary Sue.
As for my "Charter" (I think you mean CHARACTER there, Sailor), she's not a gypsy. She's Romanian. And a carnie. And a fortune teller. She is not a gypsy. And second, how do you know of my other shop characters, hmmm? Are you stalking me? You naughty, naughty thing you!
I know there are dig sites out there. I'm not in a sheltered little bubble. I never said anything about dig sites. I think your lack of understanding is astounding.
And no, the twin idea does not make it understandable. The twin idea makes it trite. Especially when one is named Athena Eveningstar. Kind of makes me want to smash my head against the desk a few billion times.
And so what if I leave my thread alone for 6 months? Unlike you I do not feel the undying need for people to SEE my thread. My friends have seen it - I do not need approval from strangers.
You asked for the truth, you got it, and you do not like it. Next time, save us all some trouble and don't ask.

Kyribird, why don’t you take a step back and look at what you’ve just posted.
First of all, you began stating that you ‘know about dyslexia because your friend has it’. Mental disorders are not black and white, they come in different forms and strengths. Just because Sunny doesn’t hold the same symptoms as your friends does not mean that she does not have this disorder, it means that she has a different form of dyslexia and reacts differently to it than your friend.
Secondly, I believe that Sunny asked you to define what you were using for a Mary Sue, not examples of it. There is a large difference between these two, since examples are based almost fully on biased opinion and definitions are general facts compiled together.
Just because Sunny went to find your character does not mean she stalked you. Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, because you compared your character to hers, she may have thought to see what your character was like? In my honest opinion, I find your character hard to swallow. She so dull and the story is dry and boring. I couldn’t even get myself to read past the history. I would prefer Aurora’s story of your character’s any day, it’s much more interesting in my OPINION, and I believe that she could pull many plot twists within it.
And yes, you’re CLEARLY not in a sheltered bubble. You’re in a cardboard box, and you can’t even see or think outside of said box. Maybe instead of being so self centered and focused on how your character is better than others, you should think about how much time these people have taken for character creation, and how long it has taken for them to not only develop them, but to give them actual personality and a soul.
As for Sunny’s twin idea, yes, it may be a little far fetched, but there’s a little thing called plot twist that she is exploiting. If it sickens you so much, why don’t you go and bash your head against the desk? It would do us all a favor by ridding us of someone who clearly can’t be open minded enough to accept other people’s ideas. The gene pool really doesn’t need any more of them.
Yes, Sunny did ask for the truth, but she did not ask to have your venomous opinions pushed onto herself as well, and she also did not ask to have her character compared to another characters that are so relatively different that it makes no sense to compare them. It would, in my mind, be like comparing a pumpkin to a pineapple.

What?
Sorry I thought that sort of thing was called "unbeleivable cliche"
Also I have a lot of dyslexic friends and none of them hide behind their condition rather than striving to improve. If you are such a friend maybe you should encourage a bit of improvement rather than just justifying everything she says.

If you're such a good friend, maybe you should try to accept them for who they are, and not try to change them.
Sunny never hides behind her condition, she only brings it up when she's forced to. I didn't know that she had dyslexia until three months after I met her, because I asked her why she spelled so funny sometimes. And, if you read her first response to Kyribird, you would know that she also has several other disorders piled up onto her, and yet she still makes an attempt to do things like normal people. Does this honestly sound like she's trying to hide behind a disorder?

ADD and anxiety disorder? I don't think they come into how you build a character or type online which is why I disreguarded them, anxiety is a social disorder and ADD is an attention one. What Kyr was saying in a brutally honest manner is what is wrong with the character here, not necissarily taking digs at the person behind it.
But yes it DOES sound to me like she is hiding behind a disorder, though that could quite possibly be down to having friends with very similar conditions who vehemently refuse to use their condition as a crutch when called upon to improve.
Also at your comment at Kry's character being "dull and boring", one of the things that makes the island role play interesting unto itself is that the characters are MEANT to be normal, not of a background frought with twists and turns, twin sisters, sinking skips and unbeleivable leaps of faith and flights of fancy. It's not a soap opera writing contest, the true interest is meant to come from the changes themselves, not the "plot twists" in the character's past, quirky nicknames or whatever. That is what was being said here. And that has nothing to do with any of the aforementioned conditions.

I don't think she stalked me because of Daciana. She's in his forum, on the front page. I don't care that she looked at Daciana. The fact that she says it looks like bits and pieces of my -other- characters makes me think she's a stalker because up until now I had no contact with her so she could not know of my other characters unless she poked around my post history and followed me to every shop I'm a part of.
As for my character, this is not about my character. I don't give a flying ******** if you find it hard to swallow. These characters are supposed to be Every day people. I don't care of her back story is boring. Most of the world's back story is boring. This is based in the real world, not some fantastical place. She's an immigrant. Nothing of significance happened to her other than her father's death and living in poverty - like, I don't know, a LOT of people in the USA coming from other countries.

Point to me and show me one place in my critique that I said my character is better than others and compared their character to mine. Now you're just pulling stuff out of your a**.
I'd like to point out that through my critique I never insulted sailor just the character. I have nothing against sailor as a person as I do not know them. But there you and sailor are insulting me - you even going so far as to tell me I'm not needed in the genepool.
Again, I'll clearly say it here I NEVER COMPARED HER CHARACTER TO ANOTHER ONE. Learn to read. Thanks.

Sounds to me like some people have a dislike of things in here. If you guys don't like her character in the first place, then why bother posting or even checking back on the thread? Sounds like people just take joy in attacking others. Sure, I would understand a post of constructive criticism, but flat out attacking others is just uncalled for. If there is an absolute need to do so, take it to PMs. Even then, there shouldn't be a need to go out of your way to do this. Just stop checking the post/story and move on to another one. Simple.

@AV: She asked why people were being mean and asking her to give up. She asked to be told in her poll.
I told her. I told her brutally and honestly because nobody else was going to do so and I find it far kinder to tell someone that their concept sucks, tell them why, and let them try to fix what they can for a better chance of getting on the island than let them have false hope and repeatedly be shot down without knowing why.

Kyribird: I can understand how you're just trying to offer your bit of criticism. Everyone needs some from time to time. Sometimes it can get a bit out of hand though and it'll end up looking like an attack on the other person. That's how it was received, especially when the subject of dyslexia was brought up among other things. That's where it really got out of hand, in general.

NOTE:
seal of approval doesn't mean anything. it doesn't mean your character is good, or even liked or acceptable. it means that it fulfills the bare bones. GMs HAVE said this. 
SNS doesn't need criticism, she needs a trip back to earth from whatever moon she's from that makes her think for even one second anything of her quest is acceptable, much less good.

She's the one that brought disorders into it, though. In my experience, those who truly have a disorder don't want to be hindered by it. They do not want to use it as an excuse. They work hard to make it appear as if nothing's wrong. They have someone proof read, they try themselves to reread and reread and reread to catch any mistakes.
It's such an easy thing to use as an excuse that people would rather have something medically wrong with them to hide behind than admit that they're lazy or idiots. That's my experience, and what I go by. I've been online for 11 years now and I have never met someone who genuinely had that disorder and hid behind it, using it for an excuse.
Half the people I know who have it you wouldn't know because they work so hard to make it otherwise and don't let everyone and their mother know they have it. The other half let people know and do make minor mistakes every now because they just can't catch a few of those mistakes.
