Hunter's Jubilee is upon us! Freshlings will write a short story of at least 100 words. It should be about a time that they felt love (platonic, familial, or otherwise) for someone else, and how they handled that feeling.

Roshan had had a bit of trouble with writing about love. It's not that they had never felt it, so much as they didn't usually bother to think about it...
Entry:I felt love for my friend the other day. She had given me a cookie out of her lunch without me even having to ask. I thanked her a lot and also gave her a hug. I'm going to make sure to share a snack with her the next time I can. I was really happy to have eat the cookie and intend to return the feeling. My friend is really nice. I’m not sure many others see that, but she is! She’s the best. I took one of her old elastics as well to make note of that happy moment. She has a lot of elastics that she often loses so I’m sure she won’t miss this one. Now it’s a memory for me.

Hunter's Jubilee is upon us! Seniors will write a short essay of at least 150 words about how they show love to the people who are important in their lives - whether that is family, friends, or romantic relationships. If they don't show love easily, how are some ways they can express that feeling to others?

Entry:When I want to show one of my friends that I love them, I usually give them a hug. If they aren't huggers, I offer them my brightest smile of affection. I make art for my friends for free, too. I'm probably not that great, but they seem to appreciate it and that's all that matters.
When I want to show my family that I love them, they also get hugs but they get kisses as well. My family is really affectionate. Probably because there's so many of us! We dole out hugs and kisses and dances like there's no tomorrow. I show my siblings that I love them by making time to hang out with them and reading to the young ones.
I actually haven't felt romantic love yet, but when I do I intend to shower them with affection. There will be kisses all the time! I will take them to nice places and do their favorite activities! It'll be great fun just watching them be happy.

Entry: Raven stared blankly at the paper, occasionally sighing or looking around the room. What did he think of Hunter's Jubilee? Nothing that would be appropriate to write down on paper. Sure, his family celebrated it as much as the next, but he never particularly cared for it. The most he got out of it was free stuff from admirers. Smirking as he began to write, Raven realised he could make something out of that. He wrote about how it was a time to give loved ones gifts and show how much you appreciate and adore them- though he was careful not to mention that he was always on the receiving end. What else to write? Love? With a scoff, he mentioned the importance of passion - be it for people or activities. Raven loved makeup and jewellery, so he was studying the world of drag queens. Raven continued with his essay, mentioning that the drag community was all about love and acceptance. The junior frowned slightly as he looked over his words; maybe being a drag queen wasn't for him after all, then.
Homework: Lyra is away at a teacher's conference, and a substitute has stepped in to teach the class! The easy part is over, however - in her lesson plans, she wrote that she'd like everyone to write something today. The very act of writing an essay can be educational!
Hunter's Jubilee is upon us! Juniors will write a short essay of at least 150 words about what the celebrations of Hunter's Jubilee mean to them. Does their family celebrate it, or was it something new to them when they moved to Asphodel Gardens? Why is it important for us to celebrate all kinds of love?

Entry:Popple had to laugh in amusement when she found out what the assignment for the day was. Her life was full of family that she loved dearly, so she began to write her essay.
The thing about love in my life is that it is full of strange ways my family expresses it. The person I'm closest to is my twinnie [[though she's not really my twin]]. We tease and taunt each other, but that's how we show each other how much we love the other. Then there's my dads. I mostly stress them out with being a crazy teen, but they know i really wouldn't do anything I ought not. I also have a ton of little siblings and half siblings. They are all crazy, but there's nothing I love more than scooping them all up and hugging them tight and close!
Popple put her pen down and looked over her essay. Yes. It was good! Sure there wasn't any boyfriend or girlfriend to make note of, and she certainly didn't want to think about that weirdo that stalked her, but when you love your family you can't help but be content in loving them!... or so she was trying to tell herself as she turned in her essay.

Entry: Love. Well it wasn't as if it was a new concept to Huginn. He had a really loving family. Which come to think of it was probably a good thing considering he didn't have many friends. So what memory to pick?
I am a bit quiet and people love picking on me for it. I don't have many friends, although I do have some familiars, so to me family is everything. It was really hard picking a moment. Everyday I see them they show me how much I have their support and how much they love me. However I guess the best time that I feel it is after school. Muninn has a lot more friends than I do but he likes to take his role of older brother very seriously and every day he waits after school to walk with me home. It's a nice chance to get to know what happened during his day and just to talk about silly things. He never makes it seem like a chore. I would change those little walks home for the world.
There that would be good enough right? Well it was done, and with that he turned the essay in

Oh boy this essay was going to be a tough one. Not only did alto not really have any friends he felt that level of... wait he did. He might be able to get through this assignment. Sure he could have written about his twin but that was a given. He wanted to have a surprise topic.
Sure I guess I seem like a friendly person, but I don't really get close to people. Too many people passing me by and leaving during childhood I guess. I mean Cirro sticks around but I am his twin so he kind of has to. It took me a little bit to figure out what I wanted to write about. So there has been a few times I have felt platonic friendship like love. I think it was the first time I realize I had a good friend. We were picking out people to partner up with on a field trip and I remember how sad my friend Hermes looked. He can be a bit of a brat but he is a really awesome person. Most people don't see past it though. Anyways so I picked him as soon as I could. The look on his face was well worth it. I had never had some one look so happy I had picked them before.
There that would be good. With that he set his pen down and turned the essay in.

Username: Nasaiki Nightmare: Arinas Entry: Hunter's jubilee wasn't really important in my family. It was mostly a day we got together and maybe dad would get us all something special since none of us had significant others. Growing up the winter's solstice had more of a meaning. Then Uncle Morginn cane into our lives and Dad and he kind of skirting around each other for years. Just recently however Hunter's jubilee became more of just a holiday we quietly observed. There was so much love in the air that obviously it was time the children all banded together and got the two people who clearly liked each other and who we thought of as parents together. Mom even agreed to after she stopped laughing.
However even if Hunter's Jubilee just recently gotten more of a romantic twist to it now, it was still a day before where we celebrated being a family. So I think it's more about showing love and realizing that any type of love is important. There that should do it. With that done, Arinas set his pen down and went to turn the essay in.
