"Rise."

The man stepped slowly between the tombstones of aekea's graveyard, arms outstretched to either side, palms facing skyward. Aekea, the city of technology and leading in the field of robotics, whose population was so heavily influenced by its economy, had little to offer in terms of a graveyard. However, where there were living, there would be dead as well. For one such as him, the level quantity little mattered. Resources were resources.

"Rise."

Louder now, the man spoke the one word again. Upon each grave, there was a tiny seed, nearly invisible in the still of the night. And as he chanted, the seeds seemed to move, to sprout, to grow, but they did not grow much. As soon as they opened, the stalks would drive downward into the earth.

Seeds; that which represents life, that which grows.

"Puppets of flesh to walk with the living
Rotting forms to do my bidding
Avenge yourself from your demise
I command you, RISE."

These seeds were a mockery of life. They burrowed deeper into the earth with each word spoken, sinking deeper instead of growing taller, and it was plain to see where they were going. And it was very clear what their purpose was. They represent life, and life it will be for the deceased.

For the dead will walk again.

The man's lips split into a wicked smile as the earth began to lurch upwards and away from where the seeds were planted.

First a hand here, an arm there, and eventually, they started crawling out of their earthen prisons, mangled bodies of bone and rotting flesh, dried husks which once held life. Some took more time than others, some broke free relatively easily with the help of the magic seeds. But one by one, the dead rose from their graves, croaking dryly in the dark of the moonlit cemetary.

Dry now, but what when they drink the blood of the living?

"Go." It was all he said.

It was all he needed to say. For as soon as he did, the zombies began moving out into the rest of the city, into the streets. This is where Michael Jackson appears and does a dance sequence singing Thriller, but he's not here at the moment, so it aint gonna happen.

No, what would happen would soon to be chaos erupting in the city. Were robots programmed to react to the dead the same way they were programmed to react to the living? Who knows, who cares? Aekea was the one place on Gaia granted rights to produce robots, but due to the potential dangers machines may possess, they were not built to be machines of war or destructive.

The zombies f course, would essentially ignore the machines, not being truely alive themselves, they provided no means to satiate their hunger.

Well, now with that little distraction going on, Decruda can get to real business, the reason why he was here in Aekea of all places in the first place.

So why Aekea? The living population was hardly anything to note. The effort would probably be a waste if he was here to harvest cattle. And we all know what 'harvesting cattle' really meant.

While the zombies went off to do the thing they do, which was eat people, or brains, or whatever the hundreds of zombie movies out there portray them doing, Decruda remained to do something else. He cast a second spell. nothing so fancy as to make the dead rise from their graves, however. He simply performed a simple summons, marking a large glyph in the dirt as he chanted archaic words.

In a place somewhere else, there were figures standing inside an identical large glyph. And quite simply, these figures transported to the other. So enter the bad man's S-II hunters. But their task was a little more specific than the mindless zombies which were to act as a diversion.

And so, with his crew in tow, the man dressed in black made his way through the city with much haste.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 02, 2007 10:45 pm

As simply as he was clad, the man moved fast, travelling with the S-II hunters easily as they moved through the streets quickly, weaving through alleyways to the southern area of the city where smog blots out the sky from large processing plants and disposal factories. Here, they were safe.

Safe from what?

Wait for it...

The sound of gunfire started ripping through the still night air in the far distance, echoing off the tall buildings as the first of the city guards engaged the undead set roaming from the cemetary.

And while the city was put into a panick of undead attack, with no leader to strike at to stop it, the darkly clad man and the hunters upheaved a manhole and descended into the toxic depths below the city. Undead would be hardly affected by toxins unless they produced physical damage such as heavy corrosion. The leader of the group, simply cast a spell to protect himself from the waste. And on they went.

This was not a life harvesting raid; this was a raid on the illegal research and development facilities in the city which produced weapons and conducted biological and biomechanical research. Quite simply, they were going to steal information, weapons, and kill anything in their path. And there was not much in the world which could stop one such as Decruda now, not to mention Decruda with a group of his specially bred hunters.

Lovissa followed Tama into Aekea. She looked around at the people and buildings around her. She made a mental note to pay careful attention to where they went from here on, so she would be able to find her way back. "You don't even know your own kitty's name? You're just a silly goose!" Lovissa smiled teasingly at Tama. "I think I just might cry if Sari was that big though. I couldn't imagine what a chore it would be to clean that litter box. And food would be very expensive...." Lovi chattered on about the cats while she waited for Tama to lead the way to the inn....

"Nyo!" Shouted a deep voice from up above as a tall man about 6 feet tall landed on his feet after a three story drop. He was very musclar and was wearing a collar and blue jeans. He had deep blue eyes and wild semi long black hair.
"Never mind I think his collar should tell us and besides even he has a hard time renemebering it." Akemi replied.
"It's true I do." The man wearing the collar replied and then started to frown.
((There one thread away guess my hand slipped.))

Lovissa gasped and stumbled back as the man dropped to the ground. She jostled Sari is her basket and the cat hunched back and hissed viciously at the man. As her heart raced in her chest she struggled to regain her compusre. Then she glanced at Tama and based on the girl's calmness Lovi assumed this man was a part of the girl's extended family.

"Oh, well It's nice to meet you. And don't worry too much about memorizing your address. It took me a weeks to do it when I was little. You'll get it eventually"

((It's okay, I figured that's what happened))

"Uh, we thought you ment his name." Akemi replied.
"That's strange usually Cat's like me it comes with my proffesion. Well any way appearently my name is Hayate Nekokami. The latest in a long line of Cat Shaman." Hayate replied as if it was normal.
((Honestly I have so many characters sometimes I have to rename them and then there are those who haven't even got a name yet. This is the former. He wasn't originally named Hayate and didn't have a last name or history for the matter.))

"Well, don't collars usually have a name and address? So you know where to take whatever it is you found? And don't worry about old grumpy pants there, She's just startled. She'll calm down."

Lovissa smiled easily at both Tama and Hayate as she threaded her fingers through Sari's fur in an attempt to quickly soothe the feline.

((That's the reason I never made hugely copious numbers of charries. My top limit was like 7 at one point. TeeHee and no one knew that they were all played by the same person, so I had people who wanted to kill one of my charries and were married to another))

Lovissa twitched and glanced to her right. She tilted her head a little and let her fingers graze slowly over Sari's head. "Oh, well so it is right there. Silly me..." She turned back to Tama and Hayate. "Well then... should I walk you up to the inn?"

"No, you must come through the portal to my place so we can repay you." Tama looked kind of sad to see Lovissa go.

Lovissa smiled at the small girl "Of course I'll come to your house with you. I'd love to meet some of your family. I don't know that I need repayed, I'm sure a Thank You will be sufficient" Still smiling kindly Lovissa slipped through the gate and held it open for Tama and Hayate, before heading up to the inn itself.

A small boy of 12 walked up from behind him carrying a metalic grey backpack and strange green tinted glasses. He was short for his age and had chocolate brown hair and Forest green eyes. He was wearing a white a swear shirt over a blue T-shirt with blue jeans and Tennis shoes.
"Hi Uncle Eric!" Tama said waving to the boy was the first child Tama's father's father had with his second wife. Eric nodded and didn't even ask about Lovissa.

Lovissa simply smiled at Eric as they made their way to the inn. At the door, Lovissa hesitated, allowing Tama to enter first, so she could take her lead off the child. She wouldn't know where to go once inside the doors and it would be easier for her to follow the girl. Sari rose up a bit, peering out of the basket at the new surroundings. The cat's tail twitched a little, though if in aggravation or play it wasn't clear.
