The monstrous creature lunged towards MissKitty for one final blow when the second chance timer activated and gave her the jump in time she needed to start losing the foul beast. "About damn time!" MissKitty fell to her knees as she realized the sounds of large footsteps behind her had ceased. "Oh praise whatever deity controls this game." She removed her hat to wipe her head as she noticed that had not only sent her up one level, but two!

Entering
After a rather curious visit at the lake, [BatGirl] made her way up another path that led back into the woods. She tried to tread rather quietly so as not to disturb the trees, which seemed rather quiet for now. In fact, everything seemed too quiet right now, which alerted her that something wasn't right.
Then she saw the steam and heard the cracks in the distant tree branches and the cries began. "What's coming? What's coming?" she asked of the strange creatures running past her. But no answer was given. Instead, silence fell again, and the air shifted. Turning, slowly, trying not disturb the air around her, she found herself face to face with it. This great behemoth of a beast, cloaked in shadow, it's single, gleaming eye locked with hers. Before she could even think to run, it lunged, it's teeth locking around her.
Ten HP Her pocket card brightly informed her as she staggered backwards, barely escaping the second snap of the things teeth before she was up and running in down the path.MY STATS My character's username: [BatGirl]

This was not good. This was very not good. Her feet hit the path over and over as the Jabberwocky pursued her. Just at the right moment, she bounced off the path, winding around a tree, feeling the claws of the monstrous creature graze her trailing arm. Rather than emerging back onto the path, [BatGirl] decides maybe it's better in the shelter of the trees, who are still remaining eerily silent.
Glancing over her shoulder, she can't spot it, but she knows it's there still. The heavy sounds of footsteps crash through the trees. Then a voice calls out to her from behind. It was him. No, no, not the Jabberwocky. It was the voice she never thought she'd hear again. The lost friend. The one who went without her to the human world and never returned. Could he be here? Or was this just some trick? She slowed, unsure, curious.
"I'll take you with me this time. We'll have so many adventures. Really, just come with me... She heard his voice call. It was so real, it sounded just like him. But now she was hesitating.

No. It was just a trick, she decided, pushing onwards. She had long since made peace with the fact that she wouldn't see him again. Stumbling through the brush, she emerged onto another path, but the threat still felt close. The woods were slowing her down, she she began sprinting up the path until it reached a fork.
Glancing backwards again, she tried to judge how much time she had, and it wasn't much. She bolted to the right, and suddenly felt some of her strength return to her. Just maybe she could outrun the pursuing monsters.

Taking a walk after the group dungeon run, Skele_Woofie wandered through the woods and paused as he heard something strange. The woods shake, and a strange steam, a smoke emits from the branches. He heard loud cracks as the trees part in the distant and terrified voices. "It's coming! It's coming!" Little odds and ends, little pocket watches with feet and rabbits with pocket watches run away, birds with trumpet beaks hop past him. They all say the same thing. "It's coming!" It grows silent and the woods are never silent. Suddenly he felt something behind him. Turning he stared at the monster. ...Wow.. He'd be really popular in the Monster dorm, the thought flitted through his head as the Jabberwok's long long neck slithered and dodged with blinding speed through the trees to bite him. His pocket watch chimed up with a notice "10 HP Remaining." He gasped and turned to run. That was two thirds health gone in one bite! His right arm and leg are skeletal;(You can't see them due to the heavy clothes but they are there and look thinner than the left). His left eye is gold and right eye is an empty socket. Longish black hair that's shaved on the right side. His hands and feet are "paws" though they are still covered in gloves/boots that match the paw shape Character journal: here

Still, now was no time to rest. It was still coming and now, as it smashed back onto the path behind her, it seemed even more angry. It was snapping and clawing at any and everything in her path. Debris was flying everywhere, even though it was still behind her.

Her hesitations had cost her dearly. The Jabberwocky's great jaws clasped around her. When she went to cry out, she found herself silenced, and everything around her quiet again.
Respawn
Once more, the sound of breaking and screaming met her ears as odd little creatures raced by her. "Oh no." [BatGirl] breathed, watching the pocket watch toddle past her. Silence fell. Then the snap of the jaws.
Ten HP remaining. She was informed as she staggered off the ground and took off running again, weaving across the path to escape the great beast's swiping claws.
