Cody looked back, noticing the new member following him. "Keep quiet, and follow me," he whispered, slipping through the shadows toward the harbor. He noticed a small figure slipping around the corner behind the harbor and darted through the moonlit courtyard between the Pokemon Center and the boat docks to follow the figure, hoping Dimitri was following him closely. He slipped into the shrubs behind the dark figure, realizing it was a pokemon, and ran into Reaper with a quiet THUD! "Watch where you're going, bro!" the boy shouted in a whispering tone.

Cody let out a small gasp, surprised by the boy's statement. "You were seen by the cops? Were you recognized? They didn't follow you here, did they?" Cody shot questions at the boy relentlessly. The last thing they needed was a search party out for their arrest. The trainer peered out from behind the bush, noticing the rest of his team approaching their location. Just as he thought everything was safe, a group of rangers appeared from just beyond the city line, holding flashlights. They noticed the dark figures running across the courtyard and halted them with their whistles. The officers shone their lights brightly on Sport, Hunter, and Dimitri, showing their faces. Cody hopped out of the bushes, shouting at the officers and grabbing their attention, pulling his pokeballs into his hands. "Reaper, let's go!" he called back to his hidden teammate. "We've gotta fight our way out of here!"

((Fight two officers in a double battle. They will have one basic pokemon each.))

Cody jumped out from behind the bush, two pokeballs in hand. He lowered his shoulder and powered through a group of guards, knocking them to the ground, but was stopped by another pair of officers, both with pokemon in front of them. Cody threw his pokeballs in the air, releasing Axew and Sparks, his Pikachu. "Axew, Iron Tail! Sparks, Quick Attack!" The two pokemon charged toward their foes, Axew's tail glowing, and Pikachu speeding ahead, hitting one of the opponent's pokemon hard. The figure was hard to make out in the darkness, but it wailed like a Poochyena, and skidded across the ground. The other creature howled, throwing Sparks off guard before the hit connected, and lowered her attack power. The hit still connected, though, and knocked the foe backward, but it retaliated with a strong electric attack that hit Axew hard, paralyzing it before it could launch another attack. Pikachu caught the electric foe off guard with an Iron Tail, which sent it flying into the moonlight. The Electrike crashed to the ground, and was out. Axew struggled out of its paralyzed state and launched a Dragon Rage attack while the foe's Poochyena was aimed at Pikachu, connecting for a Critical, and K.O.ing it as well. Cody returned his pokemon, powered through the baffled guards, and headed for the city line. Rt. 110 was in sight, and he waited for the rest of his team.

Reaper, just as he was about to answer Cody's questions, was halted by the appearance of the Rangers, shining their lights on his comrades. He hopped out along with Cody to get the people's attention and let out his Corphish along with his already out and about, Poochyena. The Officers sent out a Growlithe and Tangela.

~Battle Start~

"Alright Tangela, attack Corphish with Vine Whip!" Ranger(1) commanded as his Tangela slung it's vines at Corphish and began to whip him, causing him to wince in pain. "Alright Growlithe, attack the Poochyena with Reversal!" Ranger(2) shouted as Growlithe charged at Poochyena and rammed into him, hurting him a little. "Poochyena, Fire Fang on Tangela, Corphish, attack with Ice Beam!" Reaper commanded as Poochyena darted at Tangela and bit him, causing severe damage and setting it ablaze. Corphish shot a beam of ice at the Tangela as well, critically hitting it and fainting it. "Good job you two, all that is left is Growlithe now!" He cheered as Ranger(2) returned his Tangela. "Growlithe, use Flare Blitz on Poochyena!" Ranger(1) yelled as Growlithe smirked and cloaked itself in a thick coating of flames and rammed into Poochyena at high-speed, critically hitting Poochyena as well, fainting him, but in return, suffering heavy recoil damage. "Sorry Poochyena, you did good though, rest up buddy." Reaper said as he returned his Poochyena. "Corphish, Crabhammer attack!" He said as Corphish, eager to avenge his fallen comrade, ran over and slammed his pincer against Growlithe, severely hurting him, but leaving him still standing. "Follow up with Aqua Jet!" He continued as Corphish cloaked himself in water and rammed into Growlithe, fainting the dog like pokemon. Ranger(1) returned his Growlithe and the two Rangers stepped away from Reaper.

~Battle End~

With the rest of his team behind him, Cody pulled out his map to quickly look over their next move. "Follow me, everyone!" the boy shouted, sprinting off down along the main road of Rt. 110. All he wanted to do was get away from the cops. As the lights of the city dimmed in the distance, the group stopped running to take a quick break. "We should all heal here before we go any farther. Use some of the items you took from the shop," he said, pulling the items from his pack and releasing his pokemon. He sprayed their wounds with the super potions, using both of the ones he grabbed, leaving only his Paralyz heal, which he used on his Axew. Pulling out the map once more, he pointed out which routes they'd be taking to the big city. "As I said, we're gonna explore some of these side routes," he mentioned, pointing out the previously highlighted paths. "As you all know, some of the most popular pokemon along this route are Electrike, Zigzagoon, and Poochyena. Along these new routes, you can expect to see many more Plusle, Minun, maybe some Wingull, and Gulpin as well. We're gonna snag some, bring them home to the boss, and make our way to the El Dorado of our trip, Mauville City."

Dimitri waited at the harbor for a while until he realized that no one was showing up before he noticed two figures within a forest near the harbor. Then, Dimitri ran into the forest to see who or what the shadowy figures were until he accidentally bumped into a tree near Reaper and Cody which made a somewhat loud THUD! sound. "Umph!" He covered his mouth to stop himself from screaming in pain. He did not want to get scolded again for ruining his current leaders plan.

"Well I guess there's no point in being stealthy now...Alright Shanks and Growlithe... show them what you can do!" Demitri said arrogantly once he noticed the officers before he took two pokeballs out from his jacket pocket and tossed them into the air, sending out his Growlithe along with his Poochyena. Next, Dimitri waited for his opponents to send out their pokemon while he watched them carefully. The Officers tossed their pokeballs into the air and sent out a Houndour along with a Gastly.

~Let the battle begin!~

"Lets finish this criminal off quickly... Gastly use hypnosis to his put Poochyena to sleep!" The first officer ordered as his Gastly began to emit a hypnotic like pulse at Poochyena which had no effect due to Poochyena's resistance to psychic types. "Lets teach this criminal a lesson... Houndour use Fire fang and scorch his Poochyena!" The second officer ordered as his Houndour ignited his fangs with flames before it lunged at Poochyena with a readied attack and bit him, inflicting a burn upon him along with dealing a neutral amount of damage. "Go Growlithe! Use close combat against Houndour! Now its your turn Shanks, hang in there and use dig against the Houndour!" Dimitri said in a commanding tone. Growlithe used close combat to rapidly punch the Houndour, dealing a neutral amount of damage which dropped the foes health down by half. Poochyena winced as the burn inflicted damage upon him before he used dig to burrow himself underneath the ground, waiting until his next turn to strike. “Alright Gastly! Use Sunny Day!” The first officer ordered. The foes Gastly used sunny day to change the weather from a cloudy night to a sunny day. “Now’s our chance! Houndour Use solar beam against Growlithe!” The second officer ordered. Houndour used solar beam to fire a blast of gathered light at Growlithe. Dimitri walked up to his Growlithe seconds after the blast of gathered light knocked her back.“Now I think it’s time we finish this fool… This one’s dedicated to you, Archie-boy… Growlithe use Crunch!” Dimitri said in a commanding yet joking tone. Growlithe growled intimidatingly before she used crunch to crunch the gastly with her sharp fangs once she located its weak point, dealing a severe amount of damage which left it in a near faint state, dealing a major amount of damage, barely enough to leave it in a near faint state. Poochyena jumped out from the ground and attacked the Houndour, delivering a fatal blow from behind to finish it off before he winced as the burn inflicted damage upon him, making him collapse to the ground once he was left in a near faint state. “Your pokemon seem like they have reached their limit… yet they still try their hardest to fight to the end… they must see how much victory means to you, but that doesn’t mean your gonna beat me so easily… Gastly finish him off with Ice Punch” The first officer ordered. Unfortunately for the officer, Gastly suddenly flinched from the crunch attacks side effect. “Now’s your chance to finish him off… Growlithe give it your all and use Outrage!” Dimitri said in a commanding tone. Growlithe used outrage to release her built up rage and anger in the form of a devastating attack, dealing enough damage to finish the Gastly off. Once Dimitri finished the officers off, he took a super potion out from his bag while he watched as the officers ran away. “I’m proud of the both of you for a well fought battle” Dimitri said in a warm tone while he began to spray Growlithe with the super potion, healing her wounds. Then, he took out both of his pokemons pokeballs and pointed them at his pokemon while watched as a red beam of light engulfed them to return them to their pokeballs before he ran off to randevú with his team members. Eventually, Dimitri made his way into route 10 and sat down next to a nearby tree to camp out for the night. Finally, Dimitri dozed off under the tree he was sitting under at route 10.

~The battle has now ended~

"Aye Aye Captain Cody!" Reaper joked as he laid out his camping area in the woods and started to relax in his bed. Corphish laid out his own area near Reaper and fell asleep quickly.

Reaper stood back up after waking up. He helped his Corphish pack up their things and went to where Cody was. "Ready to continue with this training session?" He asked, leaning against tree with his Corphish.
