"Hm... It's good that you're so close. It makes living together very easy," Sasha commented. Leo looked as if he wasn't sure if being Asher's brother was really a good thing, but she didn't want to suddenly ask if he had any feelings for the elder. That would be going a bit too fast, wouldn't it? "I do have to say, though, you're a whole lot closer than most brothers. I've never seen brothers your ages hug each other on a bed. They can fight a lot or the older one would be embarrassed to have the younger one following him around. Well, maybe most older brothers have so-called cool friends to hang out with and parties to go to, maybe even a few girls to impress. It's nice that Asher cares nothing for any of that, though."

"Did he ever ask for anything from you?" Sasha asked, as she was sure Leo was about to talk about wishing he could repay his brother. "If there was something he wanted or liked, maybe you can do that for him for a while. Make more of a codependency kind of thing." Her friend looked conflicted, for some reason, though it was probably understandable as to why. If she was right, he did have a crush on Asher and wasn't aware of it yet.

Sasha couldn't help frowning. "That's so unrealistic," she said. "Usually, someone who says they want nothing but someone else's happiness would be pretentious and have ulterior motives. N-not like I'm saying your brother's like that, but the lack of selfishness usually leaves a bad taste in my mouth." Only in fiction had she ever known someone would be so selfless. Perhaps Asher was different, since Leo cared so much about him and the elder didn't look like he was playing with his brother's feelings.

"I'm not sure if I can talk to him. He doesn't know sign language and he's never heard me speak, I think," Sasha protested. "Besides, I doubt he would be honest with me. We don't even know each other that well." She was also afraid of what she might discover if she did confront Leo's brother about the unrealistic selflessness. What if he did have ulterior motives? The most dangerous people were usually those who did not look dangerous, but she didn't want to think of Asher like that. He seemed very genuine, and he did work and risk his life for his little brother.

Sasha perked up at a little interesting bit of information. "Asher was adopted?" She had figured the brothers were adoptive brothers, but she thought Leo would be the adopted one. Well, one thing is for sure, there was a chance of the two getting together without their relationship really being called incest. "Maybe the fact that he's adopted can affect how strong his desires are."

"I don't remember you telling me anything of the sort," Sasha said with a shrug. "Well, that explains why you don't look anything alike. Is it normal for adoptive brothers to kiss on the cheek?" She had only witnessed Leo kissing Asher, but she wondered if it was normal anyhow. Such behavior was usually for younger children or simply children to mothers. Leo looked a bit too old for such a thing, especially if the receiver was his brother.

"Lovers do that, too," Sasha said simply, eating some soup. "So do French friends, but guys usually hug or something. I've never seen brothers ever give each other pecks. Does Asher ever give you pecks? Or are you always the one to do that?" Leo's face looked as red as his soup now, and Sasha was entertained by his reactions. It was definitely a crush. "I wonder what it means if he doesn't mind... He must know more about the views of most people, yeah?"

Sasha would have teased him more, but his mentioning Chase and Cherry meant she may have gone over the line a bit. "I was only speculating. You two are just much closer than most brothers are. It's interesting, really," she merely said, leaning back in her chair a bit. Frankly, Leo's reaction said it all. He definitely likes Asher in a way that far surpasses that of brothers. It would be interesting to see how he comes to acknowledge that.
