What kind of format should games be done in?
  Games that are played slowly and casually over longer periods of time
  Scheduled games, perhaps done in phases, where all players come online together for an hour or so and take turns together

When she moved ahead of all of us in the beginning and triggered the attacks. I had a totally canon Shinon post all "and this is why you dont wander from your escorts! Have you no sense?" Ect

Rath is something. take that in a possitive and/or negative way.

A lesson in context:

Shinon referring to laguz as sub-human is canon, there's no need reason to clarify you have permission to be in- character from somebody else.

Shinon shaming Leena for her mistake, when Sue was clearly very upset by it and almost quit the game because she thought that everybody was mad at her was an unnecessary comment made by the player's choice. Just because Shinon would canonically be a d**k, doesn't mean the player had to make him be one when the teammate is clearly distraught enough and very easily discouraged, particular when it's from people she sees as friends. I try to be on the lookout for all comments like these.

And yes, I am, indeed.... something. Thanks for the comment made behind my back and nobody else calling her on it.

I want to hear some ideas from the rest of you. People seem to want to go on the offensive, but we can't go on the offensive because we keep getting pushed back at every turn as the enemy adapts. I know we can't send anybody further up without putting them in danger, but I also know we can't afford to let Jaren and the barbarian join the mage and the fighter. That will end us.

Ideas. Now.

Son of a! I missed my dang turn. I was scrambling to meet deadlines IRL though. ._.

I'll try to get online more often, I swear. It's just that my access is very limited. I pretty much only have a connection at home, and I'm not there so much anymore.

I think the school administrators would frown upon a student teacher playing a boardgame online, even if it's during conference time.

Anyway, if we go on the offensive, we've got to be sure we can win. I know I hate the idea of being backed into a corner.

I'll help any way I can. I'm not really sure how since I literally just logged in to Gaia.

You're okay, the response is appreciated. All I would have had you do is either get Mihira a Vulnerary or go buy more crap.

Here's my conundrum. I'm more than happy to have Vika replace Seth, where I know she can take a hit and also fight back with Maelstrom, but the problem is that the barbarian can reach 19 in 4, and I don't know if it will hesitate for the trap. The first mage didn't. I also don't know if "hey, i can kill this dude" AI will override "hey, this space will hurt me" AI. There's too many ifs here. My lingering idea is to have Seth back up a space, which will lure the fighter past the trap space and by himself, and leave him less open to damage from the mage's Tomefaire. This means Rin will have to heal him. Alternately, Vika assumes his position while he backs up, which baits the mage into attacking her; but again, that leaves uncertainty from the barbarian. We can't afford to let Jaren and the barbarian join the other two, because that will form an insurmountable challenge that for a ******** fact nobody can stand, unless we lure them all into the village and then gangbang the s**t out of them from three sides. Whatever the choice is, it'll be risky because we cannot trust the dice.

I completely agree when you say "we cannot trust the dice." So I think what we need to do is pick the path that will have the least amount of risk involved. Which one has the highest probability of everyone on the team surviving?

I had this brilliant idea that involves Shinon sniping the hell out of the mage via Bowfaire and luring everyone (that being fighter, barbarian, and jaren) down to space 12, where we'll surround them on three sides and smack the s**t out of them.

I'll crunch numbers when I'm not hopped up on sleep meds.

The mage needs to die. I have some ideas for the offensive.

Shinon moves to 15 and attacks the mage. With a +3 from iron bow and prescience, he may be able to flat out one shot the thing. Then, I will try to fly over and finish it off if it isn't dead. I'll need to roll a 5 to make that happen though. If I can't, I'll go to 14 and rescue Shinon and then somebody else can take him and set him down behind me. Then Seth finishes off the mage from 19 and cantos behind us. I know he'll be poisoned, but I honestly think taking out the mage is worth it, if he ends up needing to take that for the team. Better him who can canto away from danger than the rest of us.

If I can move to 17, I'll need to know if Mihira could survive there, assuming she's attacked by the fighter, barbarian and the dumbass. Oh, and Ziaram or Rin will need to trade me a damn vulnerary before I go, because I still haven't gotten the one I asked for. I think she has a nice chance of surviving, but if not, then scrap that idea.

Other options are for Shinon to bowfaire and then be rescued out and then if Seth rolls high enough, he can attack the mage from the trap and then canto behind us.

We just need that mage gone. If Jaren catches up, his provoke will force us to attack him and that means the mage will keep living and ******** us over. I'm good with falling back a little, but we DO need to be offensive enough this turn to get rid of the mage because once its gone, Jaren can go ******** himself.

99.12% barbarian gamble
96.72% Jaren pursuit
93.83% Jaren pursuit + barbarian gamble

Considering that the Vulnerary was passed to Mihira, I'm good. Also fine with planning out this sort of Pincer Attack to take the enemies down.
