River stared up at her with wide and impressed eyes and then she gazed over at Fox.
Fox, on the other hand, sensed doom and prospects of becoming a guinea pig...
There were no objections when Freya joined the hug between them. Liseli leaned and gave the ghoul a light affectionate kiss on the cheek.
Suddenly it was Grandmother's turn to be attacked by the Hug Monster. It was an embrace the elder woman returned with ferocity that seemed to make her old age seem like it was a lie. There was an affectionate pet on the cheek as the crone playfully cackled, "Good, good. I am glad my first impression didn't sour you on me completely. When you get old you care less and less what others think," she winked. "They accept you or don't."
That was probably why Kettil lacked a lot of shame and often did public displays of shenanigans. Grandmother taught him to not care.

"If that is the case.." Freya pulled back, smiling down at her warmly. "I can't waits until I gets old. I wants to be a grandmother just like yeh."

"Why wait to be a grandmother. Start now, ghoul." She grinned and then gave Freya a fond buttpat. "I'll see you both again soon."
Kettil then descended upon his grandmother for a quick hug, a hug which was fondly returned with another buttpat.
"Do you two need help with your luggage?" Liseli asked curiously. "Maybe we could walk with you to the station?"
Kettil was already starting to pick everything up, he let out a small hum, "Well I got the luggage handled. As for walking with us there, I wouldn't mind."

It took Freya exactly four seconds to actually understand what the old woman was saying, so she continued to smile and giggle when she was patted. Only when it hit her did her jaw drop and her face turn red with a blush. This family did not mess around.
While she was always happy for help carrying things, Kettil seemed to have it under control. That just meant she was free to walk with his family. "Ja, yeh all comes teh sees us off! That would be so nice~"

When they heard that they were going with the couple to the trainstation the two small ghouls were already out the door giggling. Kettil meandered after them with a small amused chuckle, "Ya! It would be nice to have ya'll see us off. Is not like it'll be the last time y'see us anyways."
"I hope not. If I am going to have a son I ought to see him once in a while," Liseli retorted and she followed along trailing along side Grandmother and Freya as they exited the home.
It didn't take them very long to get to the train station and their tickets taken care of. They still had a few moments to while away in each other's company.

The best thing about the walk to the station was how much noise they made. The dynamic of a big, happy family was familiar to Freya. She missed the closeness, the constant chatter of family life, and she knew that once she left with Kettil, she would spiral into a depression that might only be remedied by a visit home. Hel wasn't even back at Amity yet..
Freya had taken turns picking up the young ones and hovering in the air with them in her arms, taunting Kettil or soaring up playfully at times. But when they arrived, it was simply time to hug, and be hugged. Freya sniffed noisily, and clung to every warm body near her.
"I'm goings teh miss yehs."

Kettil of course taunted her back and snatched at her when she swooped past, but careful to not actually grab her so she wouldn't go crashing to the ground. The little ghouls squealed in delight as they were flown about by the Valkyrie. It was a rare treat for them at this point.
When it was time to say final goodbyes he hugged his sisters, mother, and grandmother. He glanced at Freya when she sniffled but before he could intervene his mother was making small tutting sounds as she brushed tears from Freya's face even if none fell yet, "Don't leave us with a frown, ghoul. That just won't do. In this family we smile when we greet and when we leave."
The grandmother nodded a bit, "We never honestly say goodbye, we only say 'see you soon'."
Goodbyes seemed too permanent to this family. The small ghouls both hugged Freya about the waist comfortingly, "Thank you for the flights!" Fox said for the both of them.

This was, perhaps, something Freya wasn't actually familiar with. She was so emotional, and so were most of her sisters. The fact that she was the only one crying made her feel silly, and she looked up at Liseli guiltily, trying to give her a smile. "I knows. I just." She loved people too easily. Just a weekend, and she was already so permanently attached to the entire family that the thought of leaving them made her cry.
She took a deep breath, and hugged both ghouls back. "I will be strong! For yeh." She demanded of herself.

Liseli laughed a bit, "It is alright to be sad during a parting," she relented quietly with a small shrug she gave Freya another brief face rub with fingertips, motherly to the last moments. "I just think it'd be lovely to see my screechhearts leave with a smile."
Kettil of course was smiling like an idiot but deep down he was sad to leave everyone behind again. He simply went about distracting himself by adjusting luggage one last time. If he didn't have to think about it then he could still smile, after all.
"Should we go ahead and board?" Kettil asked distantly. He wanted to stay but they couldn't. They had responsibilities.
Kettil's mother tilted her head and just smirked a little, "Look at him, I bet he's about to weep as soon as you two get on board."

The fact that Kettil wasn't crying already made Freya feel even sillier, and she channelled all of her emotions into being angry with him. "Accch, fine, yeh gives me yehr family and then yeh takes them away, yeh terrible boil." She pushed him gently on the shoulder and stuck her tongue out, before moving to board the train.
He'd better sob like a baby at some point, or Freya was just.. just.. just going to have to feel like a big fat baby herself.
"Yeh keeps safe, little crumpets, and yeh has my number if yeh needs anything, I will just flies back and saves yeh. Always!" The train whistled, and Freya stomped her foot before getting on. "All right, all right!"

Kettil shifted a bit as she shoved him on the shoulder, "I'm not taking them away! They're right there. See?" He said defensively and stuck out his tongue back at her. He knew what she meant but he also meant what he said. He wasn't taking them away and it isn't like he would deny her visitation when she wanted - when school allowed.
The group of female family members just smiled and watched them off each one waving. Fox beamed up at Freya as she made her promise, the small ghoul held more realistic ideals but it was nice!
He gave each family member one more kiss and then brought himself and the luggage onto the train. Once they were in their seats he was putting everything away.

Freya slid into her seat while Kettil put away the luggage, and she opened the window immediately, sticking both of her arms out of it and waving wildly. "THANKS FOR HAVING ME! I HAD LOTS OF FUN MEETINGS YEH ALL! I LOVES YEH! DON'T FORGETS MEEEEEEEEEEEE."
She was a hard character to forget.

"WE WON'T!" All of them said this but Fox's voice was probably the loudest and most enthusiastic.
The train began to move shortly after Kettil settled into his seat. He seemed to refuse to look out the window at this point. He didn't want to risk getting all weepy.

Freya brought one hand in, just long enough to smack Kettil over the head. "OI! WAVES GOODBYE TEH YEHR FAMILY YEH NAUGHTY BOIL!" She didn't know he was trying to keep himself composed, but he did know this was his last chance to see them until they returned, and that meant something.
Then she started blowing kisses at them all.

It was around the time when she hit him and yelled at him to wave his farewells to his family that he began to cry.
