Cee decided to touch him, in the friendliest of ways including a fluttery wink and a smile. Still it made him tense and he forced a return smile at her, which came out as more of a grimace including a small eye twitch before he followed Jordan up to the stage.

Suddenly he was on the spot, and he wasn’t sure, exactly what to do. His instincts said, get out of there now, but reason said that he needed to at least try. “I might be overlapping some of your information but,” he repeated his information about the crown and how the numbers on the crown opened a secret passageway.
“and if you are so interested in the items, there were seven of them.” He repeated the words exactly:
A weapon forged from purest light, the strongest symbol of protection.

A throne made of purest power, the strongest symbol of pride.

An amulet made of purest energy, the strongest symbol of creation

A tome made of purest knowledge, the strongest symbol of destruction.

A staff made of purest darkness, the strongest symbol of revenge.

A fountain made of purest water, the strongest symbol of his grief.

A casket made of purest void, the strongest symbol of his reflection.
I don’t know what it means, but maybe it might mean something to you, you are one of the kings after all.” Then again, they might already know anyways.

Jerry fell quiet, reaching up to touch the scars on his face that creeped over more flesh than they did in reality... and he thought his complexion was bad outside of the dream. Hah. "We're going to war." He managed, spotting a coaster that had been left on top of the piano and reached for it.

"Puts a... serious note on things." He concentrated. He knew this dream-self had... abilities. Now they made sense to him. Rep might not have been equipped with an Ax, but the shadows he could summon did the cleaving all the same. Roar might not have been a bazooka any more, but those explosive abilities had to go somewhere...

He concentrated and he could feel the coaster heating up, the atoms inside it- dream or not- excited and charged and waiting to be triggered. "We'll likely all be dead by tomorrow. Unless we're smart about it."

Carefully, he set the coaster down again, on the floor a ways away from the piano. He could sense the change he had made in it. Waiting to be triggered.

"I love you," Ferros answered. "I wanted you to know. I'm not so very far away." He didn't know what had happened between them that they had never said it, never been together. At least they had now; at least they could know for sure. He breathed in the scent of Tracey's hair. They could afford a few more minutes. "We could go upstairs ... "

Riyo's face grew very pale as the voice gave it's latest announcement, shakily bringing the water she ordered to her parched lips. Black kingdom was gone. They were still here, but there was every possibility they wouldn't be with this next request.

She couldn't say she knew Harrison well enough to judge what options weighed heavier in his mind, but among the thievery, drug dealers, and cold-hearted killers, the woman couldn't have imagined he was as benevolent as some of the other kings might've been.

Which, to be perfectly honest, was fine. This kingdom, as much as she hated herself for admitting sometimes, was a glove fit for her. The necessities outweighed pitiful feelings. The safety of the king would certainly outweigh the life of a few pawns.

It was perfect, really. Just minutes ago she had been thinking about how potentially useless she could be in a group instead of solo. This was her chance. A way out. To be taken away from the wretched world of possibility and second chances. To not wake up every day and realize how far away she was from where she wanted to be.

Riyo didn't want to let herself get comfortable in this scenario. Among people. She had never been afraid of death. Nor what would exist after. Maybe this was the universe's way of giving her a free ticket out.

She was nice and pruny when she got out of the shower and her mind had gone over everything over and over as much as it could. Thoughts still drifted in and out, sad ideas and recollections as she toweled off and stared at herself in the mirror for a second. She still looked terrible, with bags under her eyes.

Olivia found the change of clothing that Candace had left her, holding bits up to examine and feel. It would do, well it would have to since her old clothes were kind of a mess and smelled dreadful. The uniform was decent enough at least, a little baggy in places and the shoes thankfully fit okay, though without any sewing tools she would have to make it work. The tie she forwent, wrapping her old yellow sash around her neck instead. It clashed, but she didn't care. The last thing, after her hair was nice and dry, was he barrette from Molan. It also didn't seem to match, but again, she didn't care. These were some of the last pieces of her home she had on her and they hadn't been ruined.

Stashing the card in her breast pocket, Olivia pushed the doors to the showers and walked out. She had been unsure of what to do with her old clothing, so she just kept them in a neatly folded pile on a bench.

The main room seemed just as she almost left it, everyone was talking and conversing and plans were being address by the King. Olivia scooted her way over to the table of food, grabbing a little of everything to nibble on.

Candace nodded, turning to Andrew as he spoke.

Some of those things sounded...very familiar..

Candace leaned over to whisper in Jordan's ear. "The staff sounds like Merlin, and the casket sounds like our pods.." She stood straight again, her expression serious. A weapon forged from the purest light...their weapons were not light, they were Fear. Protection..protec-- "Excalibur?" She mouthed, looking to Jordan again. And their amulets, those were energy that brought them home...

The throne, the fountain and the tome..what were those.

Tracey nodded. "I know I just. Why didn't I.." he shook his head. It didn't matter, reaching out into that void of empty memory had never yielded anything and never would. What mattered was changing it in the here and now, whatever mistakes he'd made, they'd made, could be dealt with from here. Moving forwards rather than looking backwards.

"They'll be fine, this kingdom protects them, and even William isn't dense enough to give the game away." For now, anyway. "No one will be in the penthouse."

Tracey remembered Clarice's office. He was not about to be denied in a similar fashion.

--

Rep meanwhile was just staring at B0nez, he couldn't look at Harrison, but it hurt quite a lot to think how fond, how near his other self had managed to get to the guy, able to demonstrate friendship and subtle concern and affection in ways it was impossible to do with a weapon.

He was almost jealous.

Cee watched as he played with a coaster and tossed it on the floor. She couldn't tell what that was about and instead of pondering it, simply looked back at him. "Not sure if ya noticed but my kingdom fell. I know all about it. Just cause I'm not shaking in my boots.." She gave a reassuring smile.

"Least you'll die with your friends. What'd Candace say? Family?" She was using reassuring words but it was hard to tell if they were genuine or part of her game. Even for herself it was hard to tell. "Everyone here is strong. Almost cut throat." A small grin grew on her plump lips. "I can see it and others may think it's shady but.. I like it. Getting stuff done. maybe tomorra we'll all be fine and everyone else will be at our feet."

The Voice hit him with the force of a truck, and Gargantuan felt a sigh gusting out of him with utmost relief. Not them. The Black Kingdom. Not them. But that relief did not last long as it was announced that they must fight still--and the King himself would be forced to appear on the battlefield. They all would.

Unless two lives gave themselves up selflessly.

Gargantuan felt his hands growing numb, and he unconsciously flexed them, staring at Taima without really seeing her. If they went to war, who knew how many of them would fall? But to lose two of their members right now--for the King himself to have to take them.

Gargantuan wasn't a thinker. He was no plotter, no schemer. In that regard, the path seemed almost--simple.

He got to his feet without really thinking about it, large, unwavering strides taking him closer and closer to the boss-man.

"Boss," Gargantuan said, and his voice was a little hoarse with emotion. "Need to talk to you."

"The staff and weapon sound right," Jordan murmured to Candace. "The rest, I don't know. Might be the other side." He wasn't going to say Halloween here, just in case anyone heard him.

His eyes drifted to Harrison, and once again his chest hurt. They would have to kill the fragment, find where the real Harrison was trapped. A gate or portal, Mark had said. Where would they even start looking?

---

"They'll be okay a little while," Ferros agreed, and took Tracey's hand.

Harrison considered the info.

"Lotta purity," he joked.

Andrew, however, had B0nez's very sharp attention.

"Hmm, yes. That is very interesting. You've done a lot for our Kingdom, and Silver Kingdom has always been in the business of...information..." he noted, consulting his computer, "including a very high miasma yield. So. It would interest me even more to know- ...Why?" he asked.

B0nez looked at G, too, and started to address him.

Harrison cut in.

"We'll all have a talk here in a few," he told G, the tone unusually quiet. "Hang tight, for now." They needed to know everything they could before they sent them to a battle of that proportion.

The Voice cut through her like a knife, thin and sharp and very little room to make a good choice, either option was a leap of fate off that knife edge with no insurance that what happened would be worth it.

One one hand, it would be simple to just offer two pawns, simply protect the king and everything would be fine right? The other risked a whole kingdom in a single battle in which many could possibly be killed, hell she could join in on that fight happily.

But something else bothered her more, there where people who cared about each other here. More then her and Nuk even did about each other. It was the one thing she felt they all had, a sense of pride, of loyalty. It was the one thing she could even pride herself on, being loyal to those she protected. Very calmly she moved to joing G standing a short way from Harrison, nodding at his mention of waiting for a chance to talk.

She could wait, she waited this long anyway, a few more minutes or hours wouldn't hurt.

"This is a game with no winners, even if you survive... Well, who else but the voice could be the one that took my kingdom and black kingdom out? Even if you win the battle, that doesn't mean the demand for tribute will stop." he frowned. "I just want to to survive this, no matter what it takes."

Jerry's eyes narrowed, listening to the woman try to assure him. No. Tomorrow wouldn't lead to anything more than the downfall of all of these illusions. It could be hours away for all he knew. Suddenly, he slipped a hand around Cee's waist, pulling her in tight against him to plant his lips against her's. In the same movement, his foot went out to stomp on the coaster where it had sat, seemingly harmlessly. It was more sound than destruction when the unstable atoms were suddenly struck, the small blast making the floor under them vibrate, melting the bottom of his boot slightly and leaving a scorch mark after the dust had settled.

"There is no tomorrow." He murmured distantly.

She was just a figment. Just a particle of this illusion and he was tired of pretty girls taking advantage of him. It was his turn.

The other side. That was right, they were here as well. They better not ******** this up.. "Good point. I'm curious about the throne and the tome.." She murmured, keeping her voice low for hopefully Jordan's ears only. "Think one of them is our artifact? They never ******** explain what exactly we're looking for." Candace shook her head and looked disapproving now, forcing it away to instead give everyone approaching them a placid smile. How lovely, were they offering themselves up to Harrison as sacrifice? She'd do the same if she had no choice...for the real Harrison.

The fragment of Harrison spoke and she chuckled, nodding. "We have so much of that here~." She teased alongside her 'friend'. Yes, this kingdom was just...so full of purity. Was Excalibur here? Would seem odd of him to protect something like this. Huh..

She felt the floor shake and she tensed. Was someone coming here?! Oh..no. It was Jerry. How the hell did he...oh, right. Explosions guy. How oddly fitting for Jerry. Her smile twitched when she noticed he was kissing someone, looking away to give Harrison her attention instead.
