Tray looked back at him when she heard him petting beside him she blinked. "Of before?" She asked wondering what he was referring to.------- The Captain looked at his subordinate then at the messenger then back at him. "No I say ask what the King even wants to do. He did just get back from a long day." That and he was leery of allowing this stranger in the palace and showing him right where the King's room was.

Beck stopped and nodded as he said "Before you and I left on our journey." A small smile appeared on his face as he laid back, looking at the ceiling as a small sigh escaped his lips. ------------- The guard nodded and understood the reason behind his Captains actions before turning back towards the castle and walking up the stairs.

"Oh no, what you did reminded me of my mom." chuckled Beck as their was a knock at the door. "Yes?" he asked, curious as to who could be at his door. Although that didn't stop him from instinctively grabbing a dagger and hid beneath his pillow. "Come in." he said in a calm tone. The door opened to show the guard. "Sir...their seems to be a person who holds a letter for you. Say's it's from Nibelheim, the neighboring country." Beck blinked before nodding and sliding the dagger away before standing up and stretching for a few seconds. "Okay, thank you." he said before motioning for Tray to come with. "I could imagine the Guard Captain stopped him?" asked the King as he began to walk towards the staircase that led outside.

"Oh..." was all Tray said when she heard someone knock on the door. She instinctively got up and stepped a way's from the bed. When the guard mentioned a messenger she looked at Beck then nodded when he asked her to follow him. "Beck you...might want to put a shirt back on"

Beck stopped half-way down the stairs and looked down at his shirtless self. With an embarrasing chuckle he nodded and said "That would probaby be the best idea right now." with that, he quickly ran up the top half of the stairs and burst into his room, grabbing the shirt that he took off before and began to put it on as he walked towards the staircase and then towards the door.

Tray watched him head back up stairs she smiled and laughed a little. She stood and waited and when he returned with a shirt she continued to follow him. "What do you think this is about Beck?"

Beck shrugged as he said "I don't know, probably a congratulations on becoming the New King, or possibly a late alliance plea so their's not a serious war instead of an uprising. Multiple reasons really." Beck then opened the door and chuckled as he lowered himself via more stairs. "Note to self, just walk up and down the stairs for a warm-up." he said to himself at the thought of every step.

Beck heard Tray and let out a bit of laughter while nodding. "Most definitely." he chuckled before arriving before the Captain. "Why have I received a letter?" asked the New King as his eyes laid on the Messenger. ----------- The Messenger saw Beck and once he got close enough, the Messenger bowed with a response. "My Master has given me instructions that His Majesty,King Beck himself must recieve the letter." He said before straightening and holding out the wax sealed envelope. ----------- Beck slimmed his eyes and grabbed it, turning the envelope over a couple of times before making it float in front of him with magic. The envelope was then pushed about 2 feet away before Beck opened it with magic. He did this so that in case something bad were to happen, it wouldn't harm anyone. He hoped. Luckily, the letter came out without any form of problems and lay suspended in the air for a small amount of time before Bek took it in his own hands to read it.

The Captain had stepped back when Beck arrived but still stood pretty close. ------- Tray stayed close to Beck, not that she needed to she was pretty sure he could handle anything but she was tense when Beck used magic to open the envelope but when nothing happened she relaxed once more. She then returned her attention to the messenger keeping an eye on him and make sure he didn't make any sudden moves against Beck.

Beck read it over once in his head before sighing. He then looked at the Messenger with anger before looking at it again and reading aloud: To Beck Faowind, Hello, my name is Kayl Odduen, the King of Nibelheim. I am happy to hear your rise and successful overthrow of Lord Viktor. In part, I send this with happiness that you will do well in your reign of Leoan. The other part of this letter is that I myself, don't believe the validity of your claim to be of the regal Faowind bloodline.
In order for me to believe you, I request that you come to my Kingdom and fight in a tournament that I will specifically choose the fighters for. You will go through various warriors and clerics of course. If you win, well, I will not only accept you as a Faowind but give you riches beyond imagining for my apology.
If you lose however, the fighter will kill you on my word and Leoan will belong to me. You have one week from the time you get this message to arrive. Come with only a party of 3. Come with an army and I will make sure that Leoan doesn't exist anymore.
Sincerely, Kayl Odduen When Beck finished he clenched the letter in his hand before throwing it to the ground in anger and placed his foot on it. His eyes locked onto the messenger who was now in fear, face pale and legs shaking. "THAT DIRTY OLD b*****d OF A KING DARES TO QUESTION ME!?" roared Beck as his body tensed up, the clothing beneath him becoming tight from the tension in his muscular body. Beck looked at Tray and said "He probably knows we've lost quite a bit of our forces in the uprising. That's why he made the little note about war!" Beck then began to say "Fine. If he wants me to fight in his redundant tournament, then I'll do it." Beck turned to Tray and said "I want you to stay here. The citizens know you helped in the uprising. They trust you. Our Captain of the Guard is new and I don't want to make any risks. Please, tell the people about this letter and start recruitment. Just in case I die-which I won't- lead our army into battle with Nibelheim." With that he turned towards the castle and instead of walking or running, used his magick to float before flying towards his own domain. His mind already set on battle.

Tray listened to the letter intently she blinked and couldn't help but feel anger towards the King of Nibelheim, questioning Beck's lineage like this and to insist he come to them. Beck just got what was rightfully his and was working on building it back to what it once was before Viktor. Normally she would have tried to calm his anger but this made her just as angry as him.
After telling Tray Beck wanted her to stay she felt surprised by this she had thought he would want her with but after explaining why he wanted her to stay she understood his reasoning all she could do was nod. As she watched Beck return to the castle Tray looked at the messenger. "On behalf of King Beck I say you should return to your king and tell him Beck accepts his terms and will show at his Kingdom within the week time limit."

Beck stormed into his room and opened up a rather large chest. He looked inside it and placed his hands on the edges, feeling the wood and leather with his hands before his eyes stared at the glinting, shimmering armor that had scratches and dents. Signs of battle from his encounter with Viktor. Beck grabbed the armor after a moment of silent, deep breaths and began to slide it on. The cold steel making contact with smooth cloth as his breastplate and pauldrons were put on. His forearms being covered with vambraces before the calloused hands gripped a shield that he placed on his back before sliding on the rest of his armor. The King then walked over to the wall where he had placed his sword that he fought Viktor with and grabbed it, sheathing it in the leather scabbard before placing the blade on his hip. He then grabbed the green crystal he had and put a string on it before tying it around his neck. Beck then walked out of the Castle with a small sack of clothing and food, wrapping it on the side of his saddled horse before swinging himself onto it and started off with a rather fast trot through the city and out into the open country. On the horizon, he saw the outline of the messenger galloping away. Beck slimmed his eyes and quickly snapped the reigns and spurred his horse into a fast gallop after the Messenger that would relay Tray's message.

Tray had just turned inside to get Beck when she saw him coming out, mounting his horse and then riding off after the messenger she couldn't help but frown as he left. It was strange watching him leave and wish she could go along with him, she looked down and sighed she had something to do and might as well get started on it right away. She looked at the captain then. "Get ready to set up a recruitment booth in the few neighboring villages I would rather be prepared were something to happen and Beck failed."The captain blinked. "Are you not that confident in our King?" Tray looked at him with a glare that made him step back and gulp. "Of course not, I trust Beck to win." she looked out towards the horizon as she saw Beck's form slowly fade away. "It's the King of Nibelheim I do not trust."The captian watched her a moment then nodded and turned around to follow Tray's orders. "Be careful Beck" Tray said lightly under her breath.
