Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Romero laughed, but there was no humor in the sound. "Franny? Hurt? Que chiste... Remember how insane she was a la mañana when we left her alone with Elpis?" he asked Luis. "When I came here at lunch, I found her passed out right next to our computer. You can still see her blood." He pointed at the reddish stain near the desk. "There's more on my jacket and on the floor under her. Franny had at least been solid enough to text me that Elpis was gone. When I brought her to the doctor's, she told me that her insanity was a result of staying too long on this plane and relearning too many mortal things. Franny had begun to behave like mortals; she was consistently solid, and she could shed real tears, express real emotion... She told me goodbye then. But why in the world would she return here like this...?" Romero glared up at the former ghost's body to avoid shedding his own tears and ask Franny again, Why?
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Out of Caracas: If I get no other indication of something that must be done with Franny, Romero's taking the body down and disposing of it... Somewhere... || Any updates for Elpis and the voice? When does 'tonight' end anyway?

♫ Life is like a boat in a bottle Try to sail, you can't with no air Day by day it only gets harder Try to scream but nobody cares ♫☽Elpis Elpis was a bit confused about the poor girl's.... "condition". never has she heard such a phenomenon like this. She has lived since the beginning of time and has never encountered something like this. She looked out the window, she could see the sun was starting to set, nightfall was only a few hours away. {Out of Faith: maybe not this week since almost everyone will be gone for Thanksgiving} ♫ Through the glass you see the same faces Hear the voices fade like a drone When your life's a boat in a bottle You're surrounded, drifting alone ♫

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid Junior"I see..." he looked over at Franny "I wonder.... I wonder if she knew all this time? Or did she know once she began losing her sanity?" All of a sudden Argen began to feel uneasy. He had a feeling that... somthing bad was happening.{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Romero shrugged. "No sé. Maybe she's always known. No way to ask her now." He rubbed at his eyes for a moment to clear the debris that had suddenly settled there and fetched the stepladder. After placing it under Franny's body, the Venezuelan detached her from the ceiling and looked around. He suddenly realized that he didn't have anything even remotely resembling a body bag. Romero pondered what to do. Perhaps the best thing to do was drop her off at Connecticut's--Nathan's. Nathan might want to say goodbye to her too.
Before he could go do that, Romero's phone buzzed. He set Franny down on the edge of the sofa and, striding absently away to his room, unlocked the device to find a message from Juliana.
Despite the levity of her message, just reading that Brazil was in the park made Venezuela's sense of alarm spike. Wasn't there a rumor that this school was haunted at night? Romero had heard nothing of that for a few days, but then again, he hadn't gone anywhere after school hours yet. It would be wiser for him to go find Juliana himself; at least that way he could confirm or disprove the rumors he'd heard and protect her if the stories happened to be true. Thus decided, Romero sent her a text back:
"What are you doing at the park tan tarde? Don't come find me; I'll come find you. Todavía estás al parque?" ~Romero
"Oye; I'll be back soon," Venezuela called to his companions. "Call if I'm not back here in an hour." Before he left, he belted on his old saber.
Just in case.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Out of Caracas: If you like, someone else can read the message and/or call VE over before he actually goes to the park.

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid JuniorLuis Esteban noticed Romero was heading out. Where was he going, and why? They should stick together "Un momento, hermano. I'm going too. There's something bothering me, and I'd like to find out what it is." There was still some light outside, so there was still time before they head to the beach.{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Romero paused in the doorway, the gilt scabbard of his saber throwing the overhead light onto his blue uniform jacket and causing it to scintilate. He regarded Luis thoughtfully for a moment before acquiescing. "Bueno. Come along. Juliana said she's at the park, but if the rumors are true, she's not the only thing there."

Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ … Romero returned to the dorm and hung his sword on the hook he had found in the closet, despite the fact that it had probably not been installed there for that purpose. While he was relieved that he hadn’t had to use his saber at all, Juliana’s unusual vacancy still disturbed him slightly. When he found her tomorrow, Venezuela was going to nag every last detail he could out of Brazil.
In the meantime, as he walked back into the main room and his gaze drifted over Elpis, Romero wondered what had become of that mysterious voice. It had said that he and Luis had a day to hand over the goddess, but had not given a time and location for that exchange. Of course, the Spaniard had no intention of actually going wherever the voice wanted with what it wanted—no, the voice was going to get a very pleasant surprise instead…
“I wonder if that voice really was in our heads after all?” Romero asked aloud. “It hasn’t come after us or given us a time and place to meet it.”

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid JuniorLuis Esteban followed his brother back to their dorm. When asked if that voice was simply their imagination, he shook his head "Highly doubtful, hermano. I don't think it would be a mere coincidence that we heard the same voice in our head at the same time." he looked through the window "Well, senorita Elpis was looking in the direction of the beach. Maybe that's where we should go. As for time, I've been hearing that most of the dangerous stuff happens at nightfall. So, I think we should head in that direction right now."{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Romero sighed. There would be no rest for the weary, it seemed. He stretched luxuriantly, cracking a few joints in the process, and then took back his saber. The Venezuelan retied the belt around his waist. "Bueno. If you want to go to the beach now, estoy listo."

Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Romero squinted as Elpis' light enveloped them all. Before he knew it, he was back in his dorm, as well as Luis.
Too tired to do much else, Romero barely remembered to remove his sword and hang it on the wall. His fingers brushed the jewel the goddess had given him, and he smiled tiredly. Right now, sleep prevented him from feeling any sorrow for the loss of Elpis. Although she had effectively been mute for most of the time he had known her, she had cared about them and even hunted him down during a school day.
There would be time enough to miss her tomorrow. Romero sat down on his bed for a moment and then rotated around to lie down completely on his bed. He was out before he knew it.
With any luck, he would be out all the way until lunch.
