I think, before we continue, we should clear a few things up. Pouting was used to describe Laxus's actions only because this is Sora speaking. Barring the most serious things, most negative stuff sort of just glances off of her. A face of civil hate, being civil and thus somewhat controlled, will like a pout to her. Kensei doing the same thing to Shikaku as Laxus is doing would be said to be pouting in Sora's opinion. Even if Laxus showed her his power, she'd probably think of his ignoring Shikaku as a form of pout xd . That is, until she realizes that he actually might want to kill him eek ...
That being said, Sora will be hopelessly confused and sad at Laxus's sarcasm. Not to mention worried. They're supposed to work together and now he doesn't seem to want to work with her all because she said what she saw emotion_8c . Laxus is a meanie crying .

But Laxus takes everything at face value. xD He is a sociopath, in the sense he doesn't quite understand when others are using words jokingly or not. So yeah, He's bound to misinterpret nearly everything with complex social rules. He can mimic, but in all reality he doesn't understand it.
He's going to work under Sora, and along side Shikaku, however if something is heading straight for Shikaku he might not block it if he can. Or he might block it and get even more pissed saying something like "Shikaku is mine." Or something like that just to scare Shikaku. xD But yes, Laxus is a meanie, and he is actually getting kinda fun to play. It's like playing a paranoid child. xD
EDIT:
Awww! Shikaku doesn't like that Laxus is being playfully sarcastic, where as Shikaku broke laws, and disrespected both Sora and the Raikage at the beginning of the meeting. That's so hypocritically cute under the guise of being a facade!

This is quickly developing to the point where Shikaku is probably eventually going to mark Laxus as an assassination target, for the good of all... >.>
And adding a line like that at the end of a post about killing your teammates doesn't come across as "Playful" or "Sarcastic". It reads entirely as disrespect, or even blatant hatred. Shikaku's entrance on the other hand was basically acting the part of the guy who is just ignorant and doesn't know any better than to act out. He didn't walk in and basically spit in everyone's face, just came in and said hello, displaying a lack of tact.

He's a literal sociopath, if you get in his way, you should be eliminated. He's decided if Shikaku stood in his way ( Aka attempted to stop him from completing a mission, or fulfilling his "destiny" ) he'd kill him. Just as Hikaro, Kensei, David, Shikaku, Luo, Yamatano, Kye, Shinji, Zin, and almost any of the other characters aside from friends for everyone Sora, Sypher, and perhaps some others I can't think of. Laxus just actually thinks of it straight forward rather than if the time comes then I'll kill them then. You literally JUST did exactly what I've already done by saying Shikaku might mark him down as a target for assassination.
Yes, because coming in and being blatantly obnoxious is a way of being tactless, but respectful. And Laxus doesn't have a problem with Sora,his words to her were playful above all else. He actually wants to prove himself to Sora, so she wouldn't mistake him for pout-y. Shikaku is really the only person Laxus has a problem with. Sora's already jumped on Laxus and Kensei, and on Laxus' side he's tried to extend the figurative olive branch to Kensei by asking if Kensei could teach him or spar with him to train, as well as getting his name right. Kensei's also stopped calling Laxus by the wrong name so a bridge is being built and/or mended there. Shikaku is literally the only person Laxus has a real problem with.
EDIT:
Actually, if you read the entire thing and looked at it as a whole, Laxus thinks that he'll only kill Shikaku if Shikaku tries to do that exact thing you Laxus. So really he'll just continue to ignore Shikaku exists after this until you try to kill him so... Yeah. If Laxus starts toattack people in the village it'll be because Shikaku started it.

Anyway!
I'm kinda bored and I have to write about Elizabeth Bennet and Darcy Fitzwilliam in an essay about how knowing yourself helps you know others. Any ideas? I'm drawing a blank.
Personally I don't believe knowing yourself helps you understand everyone. It allows you to understand others with similar personality traits.

I kinda want to make a sneaky sneaky character. One even sneakier than Zdura, and one even more silent than... well, I can't really think of anyone to compare that attribute.
I think I'll write that profile up because I've got nothing better to do right now. ^>^

Or does Zdura just not use any ninjutsu when he's the clone? Yeah, I guess that's true. I thought Zdura was more secretive, but He's mostly just mysterious. At least with Yasashii you think you know something.

Ack! I figured Shikaku would have been behind Laxus rather than next to him.
Sorry about that Hinote. If I had known where Shikaku would have been I wouldn't have had Laxus even move to catch Sora.

Well, Shikaku left the room first and never stopped walking, so Laxus suddenly being in front of him right then basically means he cut him off. I think it worked out pretty well though.
Well, excluding the fact Sora still ended up falling down the stairs...

I thought Shikaku would have held back until Laxus passed him since he seemed so sure that he wouldn't let Laxus behind him. sweatdrop
I would have had him catch her, but it just didn't feel right.
