Wandering around the city aimlessly Reno found himself at the location of the old High Rise District. He slowly walked up to what was left of the old building and hopped the chainlink fence that had been put there. He sat on some of the rubble and took out his hand-gun. He stared at it for a while and let out a long breath.Slowly he put the barrle of the gun into his mouth and shut his eyes.'Ive got nothing to live for. Im ending it now.' His fingure shook as it slowly pushed against the trigger. He clammped his eyes shut as he pulled the trigger and heard a loud click.........He slowly opened his eyes realizing he was still alive. He removed the gun from his mouth and pulled the trigger again.Again nothing happened. He sighed and punched the rubbled of the building he was sitting on."Figures...........I cant even kill myself.......what is there left to do.I cant go back to the Hunter's........Eden was probly the whole reason I stayed as long as I did. And the Stalker's wont take me in."Just then he felt somthing against his hand. He picked it up, it was a small metal plate that read 'Mauser's Archangels'. Reno stared at the plate for the longest time and looked at the new building that had been built not long after this building had been destroyed."Archangel's huh." He closed his eyes bringing back memories of days he had a different boss.He opened his eyes and grinned."Yeah, now I remember him. I thought I had heard Mauser somewhere before...........Maybe I should pay him a visit." Reno got up and hopped the fence yet again and slowly walked tward Mauser's new building.

Mauser smiled slightly and set his cup on the table. He picked up a suitcase that was on the ground by the door. Setting it down carefully, the locks opened with a *click* and he reached into the case, holding up what was inside.
A syringe was in his hand, he examined the needle and grabbed a small vile from the case. He filled the syringe with the fluid, flicked it a few times with his finger, then walked to Lydia.
"This is going to sting a bit my dear."
He grabbed her neck and thrust the needle into her vein divulging the contents into her bloodstream.

Under her blindfold, her eyes opened wide as Mauser opened something and spoke. Sting? What was he doing that would sting? She barely had enough time to finish that thought as something went into her neck. Something very small and very painful. Not expecting it, she yelped in pain and surprise as whatever was in the syringe was put into her system. When he took out the needle, Lydia was very frightened and confused, not knowing what was going on and the effect it would have on her baby. Suddenly, even blindfolded, she swore she could feel the room swim. Trying to say something, mumbles and incoherent babble escaped around the gag.

Mauser smiled a sadistic smile and put the syringe away. He then took a key out of his pocket and unchained her from the bed.
He then left the room, locking the door behind him several times over, a guard at the door on the other side.

As soon as she was unchained, Lydia ripped off the gag and blindfold. Seeing Mauser leave, she desperately tried to follow, only her dizziness sent her crashing to the floor after a few steps. So...sick...Must contact Will... Yet try as she might, her powers elluded her and her cell phone was missing. She could not contact Will or the other hunters. The psychic was stuck in Mauser's grasp, and was too disoriented to do anything about it.

Silently, Kerrigan looked down at the remains of Archangel enterprises from the roof of the enxt building over. Flashes of that night ran through her minds eye as she looked across the wreckage, causing her to drop her head slightly in shame. Why was it that she could so all these terrible things to people, but at the same time only feel gilty about it when she has the time to sit still for more than 2 minutes and reflect on what had occurred? She had begun to wonder recently if she was losing that compassion she had once had for people. Granted, it had not been much before but it was rapidly disappearing. After all, she had almost killed her fiance and had no recollection of the incident.
Standing from her crouched position, she kicked a rock off of the ledge, listening to it fall into the remains of the rubble below. '<******** You Mauser,' she thought to herself as she realized she was feeling guilty about the man who had tried to kill William and Lydia, not to mention almost got her a** killed on several occasions that night. What guilt she had felt before was ocne again disappearing like so much in her personality recently.

Arriving at Mauser's new building Reno grinned completly impressed by Mauser's work."Not bad. Always big and fancy." Reno was greeted by several gaurds who immidetly brougfht guns out on him.Reno already knew why, having a machine-gun around yourself really didnt scream friendly.Reno held his hands up and smiled."No need to worry. Im not hear to cause you trouble. Infact......Im here to inlist in your little orginization. I would like to speak with Mauser. If you wish, take my weapons. Its not like I would need them to kill you anyway.Tell Mauser, it's an old buisness buddy." In an instant the gaurds stripped Reno of all his weapon's and patted him down for any servalience equipment. They lead him into the building. One gaurd radio'd to another on the higher floors. He was next to Mauser at the time. The gaurd leaned over to Mauser to speak to him."Sir, we have a visitor. He says he wants to join us. Says he's an old buisness buddy of yours.Security has taken all his weapons and he is completely clear of anything. Shall we bring him to you sir?"

Turning, she began runing towards the other side of the roof and leapt from it onto the roof of the building next to her. This continued until she was two buildings away from the one that Mauser now inhabits. It actually appeared that she was going to just continue on, but she stopped. Tilting her head, she looked at the building, her eyes slowly darkening to their blood crimson color. Where everywhere else in the vacinity was abandoned, she smelled something in this building...blood. Not the blood of a dead creature, but the blood of live ones.
As she started to drop down and go investigate, she forced herself to stop. Most likely, it was just some homeless people trying to get out of the cold. However...they did smell tasty. A small grin on her lips twtiched to life as she dropped over the edge of the building, landing gracefully several pards from the building still. Creeping, almost catlike, she slowly began to make her approach. Just the thought of feeding was enough to make her fangs elongate to their full length. She had fed on practically nothing but medical packets of blood since her last escapade at mauser's building. Moving among the shadows, she could see the entrance now, and still smell the sweet smell of blood growing stronger the closer she got to the building.

When it came to sneaking or stealthy entrances, Edith was definitely not the one to send in, she was the crazy-a** one that would do just about anything but stay quiet. She was the one to send on in after the stealthy people did their job and she just shot down the survivors or killed them some other way. The awesome part was she was scary enough to make some men piss their pants and run away so that she would not have to shoot them.
As she entered the site, she instantly felt that Reno was there, along with Kerrigan. However, she had entered the site just a tad too late and Reno had already gone into the building... "******** Reno. What the hell are you doing?" Just then she saw Kerrigan looking as though she was getting ready to make herself a meal outta the people that were in front of her. "Hey Kerri!! Kerri!!"
She zipped over to her and was behind her in an insant, hand on her shoulder. Reno would have to wait just a little while, innocents could be on the line. ******** she hated obligation but it was something that cursed them all. "Kerri, what are you doing?"

As soon as Edith had laid a hand on her shoulder, she shot around, grabbing ahold o fher wrist and turning it so that the two huntresses were pressed against the wall as a few armed guards emerged from the building to see what all teh shouting was about. "******** Edith, keep your voice down," she hissed, her lips brushing against Edith's ear as she spoke. Realizing that she had the other huntress pinned, she released her, though she kept a hand on edith's shoulder to hold her against the wall as much as possible. Stealthily, she peeked around the corner to see the three guards looking around teh entrance for any signs of them, and she managed to disappear aorund the corner again before they looked up from their search. This was out of place.
"What would a bunch if armed guards be doing in an abandoned building," she muttered, more to herself than anything. It seemed that she had almost forgotten that Edith was here already. "Something isnt right about this," she said, still whispering as she looked at Edith. Unfortunately, with another huntress around, she had to check her thirst once more. Looks like there wasnt going to be a meal right now after all. "Edith, move," she said as she grabbed the huntress by the wrist and pulled her around the back of the building as she heard the shuffle of boots coming towards their position. "What are you doing here?" she asked, looking at the woman with her red eyes. "Shouldnt you be with Tokeru or something? He couldnt seem to last 5 seconds without you before," she muttered as she looked around for anyone who might have seen them.

Quite frankly, Edith had expected the reaction from Kerri, being shoved against a wall was nothing new with her whether she was human or inhuman. "I won't keep my voice down, there's no reason to. Besides the fact that those guards... Hey, why the hell are there guards here? Didn't you blow up the place yourself? s**t, maybe Mauser is reconstructing. Hey... he wouldn't actually be arrogant enough to put his base back here would he?" Edith could have forced Kerri off of her but she chose to allow Kerri to choose when she did that.
"Probably because it ain't abandoned and Mauser is hiding out near here," Edith said as she appeared beside Kerri to look around the corner. "Feed if you want Kerri," she said emotionlessly as if she did not care, "I was just making sure that you weren't going to kill them and pout about it later and feel all guilty." Yes, Edith had felt Kerri's ache, she did not need to be psychic to know that.
Edith looked at Kerri as if she did not understand her question, as if Kerri had just asked her if she had danced the stupidest dance imaginable. "I would ask the same question," she said as she started off allowing Kerri to drag her like some little kid, "but I'm the one who's answering right now and apparently we're running away from three guards. No I shouldn't be with Tokeru, he's at a 'secret' gathering-meeting-thingie with all the other elders and hunter leaders, including your fiance'. They're discussing Mauser. Oh yeah, and I'm here because I was looking for Reno whom apparently just slipped into that nothingness which I'm aching to check out now."
If Kerri got the impression that Edith did not care if they were spotted that was exactly on target. Edith did not really give a damn if the guards saw them. What would they do? Contact Mauser and tell him that Krii-Ouse's wife-to-be and William's little sister were trespassing upon his territory? "You know," she said with a devious smirk, "we should make them show us where Mauser's hiding. Then maybe we could bust Lyds outta there since she's more than likely there unless the place's a decoy... That'd just suck a**."

"Edith, how did you know that Maus-" she was cut short by her own thoughts. Lydia. Why had she not made that connection before? "Edith, we have to get out of here now. You might not care if we get caught, but you have no idea what Mauser is capable of. I would rather see my wedding day, thank you. Go get yourself killed if you want, but I wont be crying to Will when I have to explain to him why I let his little sister get killed. They took Lydia, they want him to suffer. What better way to do that than to take his love, his sister, and one of his closest friends?" She needed to tell Will about this. She needed to tell Krii about this. And if the elders were really meeting about Mauser, then they would want to know about this as well.
Looking at Edith, she released her wrist giving her a hard look. "Im going. Are you going to join me or stay here and try to take down a man that took the entire hunter force and most of the vampires last time, by yourself?" As much as she liked Edith, there were times when she questioned the girl's judgment. "Come on, I have to get back to Haven so i can go pick up Krii." With that, she turned, "And as fara s what I was doing here, I was going for a walk doing some thinking, and I smelled living blood...been thirsty you know." Glancing back at her, she motioned for Edith to follow her, hoping that she would. Kerri wanted to be the last person on earth to have to explain to Will that his sister was gone when he had just lost the mother of his child. If the stuff on the tapes was to be believed then she was not sue how dangerous this man could be now.

Edith observed in silence as Kerrigan resolved her problem by taking a minute to process what she herself knew and making all the small connections. "Of course," she said with hands to her hips, not bothering to be quiet, "I know what he's capable of! I happened to be a Hunter as well and I happened to be there when Mauser tried to use Lydia against us. Hell, it was all my fault she'd been captured the first time."
"Anyway," she stated sarcastically, "it's good to know that you won't be crying to my brother about me getting killed, I appreciate it. As for the thing about me being his sister, I'm sure he'll get over the loss of me. The only reason I wouldn't want to get killed was because he'd probably do something stupid and get Lydia and their kid killed. I couldn't do that to my sister-in-law or my neice and or nephew."
Edith was an adrenaline junkie, but right now Lydia, her child, and Reno were all at risk if she decided to do something stupid. As much as she maybe wanted to storm into the place and shoot everything and everyone down and think about how terrible she was later, she would restrain herself. "Actually," she said matter-of-factly with a playful wink, "I was not planning on going in there all by myself. Mauser is more than just a one-woman job even if I am kick-a**. However, I am remaining here. Reno's in there and I'm worried about him. You can use the car I drove here to get to Haven or Demonic Ties, where ever you're going. Here's the keys. And if Tokeru gets mad at you just tell him I said that you could use it and if he lays a finger on you I'll kick his a**."

Grabbing the keys as they were tossed to her, she looked at them for a moment before tossing them back. "Edith, dont...dont do anything stupid, ok? I know you can take care of yourself but I wont every forgive myself is something happened to you. Take care of yourself." Giving her a small smile, she turned, walking away from the huntress, though careful to stay as far away from Mauser's new building as possible. If it even was Mauser's new building. She had been known to blow things out of proportion before, and as far as she knew it could just be some wierd guy, or even something from teh government that they werent supposed to know about. Still...something about this whole situation gave her a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. She would report this to the hunter elders and let them deal with it as they saw fit. Giving one last glance back towards the outline of the building before she left the high rise district, she disappeared into the city.

Edith gave a fanged grin at Kerri's 'words of wisdom'. Telling her not to do something stupid was letting her know that she did not want her to do something stupid, however, preventing her from doing someting stupid was an entirely different matter. As usual, the vampiress had the reflexes of a cat and easily caught the keys as they were chucked back at her. "Yeah," she said somewhat frowning, "I'll be fine. I know how to take care of me onsie perfectly fine, I'm a big girl now. You be careful too though. Just because I'm Will's sister doesn't mean that people won't go after Krii's wife-to-be." After a quick and urging nod, she watched Kerrigan disappear into the night back toward Haven.
