Darkened Angel She's gonna be bent over Ilia's knee and spanked like a red-headed stepchild. rofl Interesting idea. Totally wish I could do that to Vette in TOR. Gosh, is she naughty. Almost regret removing her slave collar. I was waiting on Cale to post as the soldiers

A little note on the upcoming details of the RP in a week or two:
1- Jian and the smugglers are bound to head to point besh, backup staging area, along with the supply craft. I'm not sure how much Cinn will leave alive of the corvettes and frigates, otherwise i'd account for them too. At point besh (a place which really won't happen to have any significance), Jian recieves his next orders. That's the details happening with the current republic forces and wrap-up on that end.
2- As for future planetary missions, we won't be stuck on just one planet. That was merely for the introduction to get people to at least get to know each other. a little. Jian is heading for Thule, so those of you interested in hunting for jedi relics and whatnot, consider heading there.
For those not interested in the relics of the force, consider the wonderful Minos cluster! Battle heads there, as soldiers and others alike all are called to fight. Between farming planets, industrial centers, and whatnot, the Minos cluster allows the Sith machine to begin really taking a foothold in the galaxy, spreading itself where it can.
Any questions, comments, etc?

Now I remember why I don't usually jump into the middle of an RP. Read up on the plot and rules and it made my head spin just a bit. Playing a force-user seems to have gotten a lot more complicated with this one, might just go with an NFU just to avoid the hassle...

Complicated? No.
Much more planning? Yes.
The actual rules haven't changed really, only were re-written and updated from previous games. So that shouldn't be a trick. And the plot is really no much more than any other game. The only difference here is instead of a wookiepedia link, i actually took the time to type it out.
Ultimately, character creation got the big revamp this time, and so far? nobody seems to really have much problems. If you'd like, you can always ask for help. So many people go straight to "Meh, too tough"... seriously, it's not as difficult as it may seem. If you want to, I can help build the character with you. It's okay to ask for help. Nobody else will know. razz

It's not that hard really. It takes a bit more to plan your characters, sure, but it also gives you clear definitions on what you can do

Yeah, it does make a physical difference in the experience of the character, as well as the path. A guardian does not play the same as a consular of the same rank and such. So it sucks on some grounds that your exact character might not exist at the start, perfect in each way, but why would you want to be at the top of the game?
But i should stop tooting the horn atm...

K, I think I have an idea for a Jedi padawan, though I'll have to wait till after the holidays to finish the bulk of his creation.

I applaud anyone who really wants to start as a padawan; they aren't easy to play for sure.

For those of you who think that there isn't much room for anything besides Force users, mercenaries, soldiers, and smugglers, here's some other character ideas for those with burning itches of second characters:
- Noble figureheads, such as princes, dukes, or other representatives of planets in the outer or Mid rims are more than welcome. As the threat of the sith encroaches, not everyone needs to be a combatant in the war to be of great storytelling prowess! Perhaps the needs of the people, or resources of the planet, can be in the way of telling in the backstory as the republic crumbles from within, and the political theater therewithin.
- Buisnessmen, sensing the incoming wartime powers raise up, will probably seek to hire mercenaries on both sides. Be they crime lords with threatened stockpiles, arms merchants needing to deliver supplies, or any number of detailed people with wealth that could support the need to play beyond the prowess of a character can be just as important to rally militias, or supply the war efforts.
- Officers and fleet commanders for the military can exist too. Perhaps glory doesn't come from getting in and attacking, but rather from the supreme tactical prowess of a person. Get a jump start on leading forces into battle as a lowly officer, and see how your war efforts raise your abilities from behind the battle.
- Consider perhaps an astromech droid. Let's not doubt the swiss-army knife like abilities of R2 in the war(s)...
Non-combatants doesn't necessarily mean you can't join into battle either. Being disposed from one's place in high society could mean leading a militia, or pulling a calrissian, etc...
If you need ideas on soldiering, consider pilots, assassins, and other ilk of the galaxy! the possibilities are endless, albeit perhaps not as prospective...
