It took much effort for Jake to focus on Arc, and even more effort to connect to his mind, but he made it eventually. He now stood in front of a starry door, which opened to reveal Arc and a familiar wolf.

"Who is this person?" Arc' eye were empty. The wolf turned its mighty head and looked at him. "Someone who is very much apart of our lives." He looked at Jake. "Step through the door, we welcome you, our mate."

Jake was quite surprised, and also hurt. It seemed as if they were expecting him, but Arc could not see him. In a second, he passed the door and approached them. He tried to keep his emotions in check, or they might alter his objectives and lead him away from the reason why he was here.

"You have came far to regain that memory, yet even further to come rescue us. Our Mate, help us." The wolf bowed his head. "Draw out our kindness from with-in." Arc reached for Jake but stopped. His hands hanging in the air. "This person, our mate you say. Another illusion you have brought up." He smiled darkly. "Truth lies in your instinct's. They maybe second nature but nothing comes from illusions." The wolf pushed Jake towards Arc. "Dive one more time Mate, I have contacted the Heavens to lend you power and strength. Untangle our mind so that we can finally become whole." The wolf knocked Arc to his knees. "Take his head between your hands and press foreheads. Then dive."

Jake hesitated slightly, afraid that Arc would push him away, but he did take his head and had their foreheads touch. Once more, he felt cold. There appeared to be sirens everywhere. Was he in Arc's memory?

"What do you want?" Arc stood there, the image rippling about him, there was static in some places and dark in others. Large dark wings spread from his back, his hair unearthly floor length. His arms crossed.

"I want to help you," Jake replied. He nearly blushed when he saw Arc, but willed it away. "You've been suffering, right? I can heal you."

"How can you heal me?" His eyes shone with a golden brightness. Behind him was the image of Jake on the ground and Arc trying to resistate him, it glitched badly.

"I must help you fix a memory, if you can say that," Jake said, noticing the glitching image. He took a step forward, shortening the distance between himself and Arc. He saw glimpses of disrupted lines, perhaps the resisting mind.

Arc studied him, didn't even flinch when Jake stepped foreward. "What memory needs fixing?" A few images glitched to pictures containg Arc, Arc's father and Jake, Jake's face was partially blackend out.

Jake continued to step forward until he was right in front of Arc. "Do you remember the day you saved someone from drowning in a cold river?" the angel asked, eyeing the strings that seemed to gravitate towards Arc. "Tell me what you know of it."

"I went swimming in the ocean that had ice floes, I forgot to wear a dive suit." Yet, he didn't flinch as Jake was now standing so close to him. "I rescued no one that day. It is an illusion." His answer so straight foreward.

Jake was rather saddened, but he didn't despair. "If it is an illusion, why do you have it? What if it was the real memory?" The strings seemed to be repelled now, and he grabbed one of them that seemed the weakest, revealing to him the memories that Arc must have rejected. There appeared to be a parasite attached to the string, but he couldn't remove it. It has to come off on its own. "Hold this and tell me what you see."

"Anything or nothing can be an illusion." Arc watched, but there was nothing he could see but Jake holding air in an empty palm. "That is but air you hold."

Jake still reached out a hand, still holding the string. "Well, I don't see why you would simply imagine saving somebody," he said. "Why don't you take my hand and I'll show you what I see?"
