Fade? Discolor? Why would I ever think something so outright ridiculous? They might call me a kid, but I have long ago ceased to be so. Yet in their eyes I will remain as such forever.

Awkward. Silly. Strange. Creepy. Retarded, challenged, dramatic, lying, liar liarliarliar- NO! They called me many words, and I keep dwelling on them, they swelling in my head, bigger and bigger, till I can't think about anything but what a worthless creature I am, and before I realize it, they come to me again, shoving me, slapping my head, ripping on my arms for not paying attention again, and then I scream and cry, till one of the others comes in, pulls me in their arms- a short tingle, and all of it goes away. Their voices aren't loud anymore, and what I see are just eyes. Eyes forever filled with disappointment, while their owner covers up my wounds. Wounds that she says, I did myself.

They never believed me, never ever ever, since the very first time it happened. Time when I was still a child even in my own eyes, and what they called me first was just having too vivid an imagination. They laughed at first when I described the others, my friends and my playmates, rarely saying anything more than 'that's cute' or something along that lines. But their laughs soon ceased, their place taken by frowns and the dreaded word: liar. Liar liar liar, but I didn't lie, not about them! She took me to a white place, a place where a Man in white would talk to me, talk to me for the first time ever about my friends... and those less friendly ones. Talk without the laugh, without the frown, just wanting to know. He'd ask me many questions, and I answered happily, thinking this white man as one more of my friends... and then he told me that it was but a lie.

Not my lie this time. The lie of my brain. It's sick, you know. Showing me things that aren't, things that never will be. He said that she worries for me, that there are pills I will have to eat, and shots I will have to take. The happy childhood full of friends had never existed, and I was just imagining them, imagining things.. On that day, I stopped being a kid. And they stopped liking me unconditionally. Cause they knew now I knew as well.

And the white man? I saw him many, many times. Still do. He's a doctor for my brain, and the woman wanted me to see him.. cause she thought I was crazy. And she was right it seems. Crazy crazy crazy- screw this! Why am I even telling this to you? Leave me be, so I can dwell on the past some more.. it's not like I have anything better to do anyway.
