Scampering from his 'nest' the young man headed down through the halls with the occasional meek glance to a passing maid or other servant, feeling a little bolder in his surroundings now. Once he'd reached the ground floor and the side door from the pantry that led to the open wall brimmed courtyard, he pushed it open and stepped out into pure brilliant white. A smile had lit up his face the minute he had done so, the feeling of breeze, air and freshness in his wings was unreal.
The winged creature stretched the white thin appendages from their huddled position between his shoulder blades and let them swell with the breeze.

With a gentle light footed spring, Leon took to the air, flying low to the ground at first, simply circling the courtyard, tilted at an angle where one hand pointed to the sky, the other trailed a small line in the snow, reminiscent of ice skating.
