Jack was still at that point where he was testing out his opponents skills. He hadn't even revealed his full hand yet. He wasn't even sure if even needed to in this fight considering the enemy was being slightly predictable..but then again so was he. Before Darion even got close enough, Jack initiated 2 of his after strike attacks in rapid succession, but this time in a stabbing motion. He stabbed once where the height of Darion's head was, and stabbed again where his stomach was. As soon as he did that he jumped back and prepped his rapier once Darion broke through the strikes.

Darion grinned as he would crouch down and slid on the dirt sticking his foot out making ice appear in a straight line, as he did he crouched low enough to dodge both of the stabbing motions at a high speed. Darion would reach Jack in almost an instant and punch at Jack's ribs hard enough to make Jack lose His breath to follow up with a punch to the face.

Jack, seeing Darion starting to play limbo with his strikes, automatically set up yet another trap for Darion, using his after strike technique by uppercutting the rapier, Jack dodged to the side by jumping to the right. He made a important observation with that ice slide thing he did..he could only move in one direction, in his case straight...So for him it was either stop (if he could) or get hit by an uppercut with his ki strike. He doubted he could have stopped that immediately due to how fast he was approaching, Jack was only able to predict such an action because he was thinking strategically from the very start of the battle, immediately thinking of his next move as soon as he executed a defense or offensive manoeuvres. Darion would have to pull some nice tricks in order to avoid the strike. If he got hit, the force of the blow would most likely knock him straight up into the air.

Darion saw the movement Jack made and smiled as he would punch the ground with his ice hand and make a dent in the ground enough to make him slow down and eventually stop using Ice Stick before he could reach the trap.
"Interesting strategy. Making traps that I'll walk into."

Darion looked at Jack and smiled happily."A mission, This way I can progress to level three and you can progress to level 2...The mission is in the Forbidden Forest. We have to meet the Teacher later...Follow me in the mean time." Darion said as he headed to the Saturday Classroom.

No way Jack refused that deal. He was here to gain power at the quickest rate possible, and here, gaining levels is the way to do that. This was to good an opportunity to pass up. He thought about maybe how this could be a trap or some kind of scheme though, he barely knew this person, but the proposition was to juicy. Against his better judgement Jack said, "Lead the way".
Before he left however, he thought it polite to leave a note for Matt. He felt a tiny bit guilty for not waiting for him, the least he could do was leave a note for him. Going up to one of the guards, Jack said, "Give this to a fellow named Matt when he walks in". Nodding in agreement, Jack followed behind Darion. But when matt would walk in, the guard would give him a note saying.
"Matt, apologies for not waiting for you, but important business has recently come to light in which I must take care of. Being one of the more normal and quieter students here at Lodus, I look forward to are reunion"

Honestly, it'd been a while since he'd been in here.
How long exactly was beyond him, but at the very least, it was a few weeks. Matt loved this room. He figured it was the best place in the whole school. The place could be anything one wanted it to be, and most of the time he preferred it as a fully-stocked training gym, complete with a ring, a few heavy bags, a training dummy, and weights.
Right now though he came in with a book on a new style he'd always wanted to incorporate in his striking... and that's when he was given the note.
Matt chuckled. "Quiet, huh? I sure hope I haven't given him the wrong idea. There's a difference between quiet and agreeable." He rolled his head a few times, getting the kinks out of his neck. "You're lucky you haven't seen me fired up, kid..."
He sighed and took a look around at the empty room. "Time to get to work."
