Meteo hadn't heard anyone overtly telling him not to cut the thing up, so he proceeded to hack the arms and legs from the body and scatter the parts into the woodlands of the area. He had grown up near Gaoracchia Forest, and he knew what he was doing. His father had taught him to be prepared for anything, since the forest was never safe and never would be. Even before his curse the family had survived three attacks by necromancers on the backs of his brothers, sisters, and parents. And after the curse he became even more wary of dark magic users, especially the black haired witch, whom he had been trying to find for so long. Disposing of the body this way also meant that if the ones producing these exspheres had necromancers in their ranks, they couldn't just resurrect this man and put a new exsphere on him. When he finished he went over to Lloyd writing a new note.
"I've learned you should never underestimate dark magic. Especially curses."

Hina looked up as she felt a pat on her shoulder. She saw Jason and listened to him as he reassured her about the situation. But before she could say anything, she saw that man who decapitated the monster-man kick the head into the trees. She held a hand to her mouth and looked away once more.

Now Cinkel came over to Hina. He knelt down and looked her in the eyes as he spoke. He too gave her a reassuring talk and also said that Martel was a forgiving one. She thought about that for a few seconds. It was indeed true. He then offered her a hand to get up and told her that he could escort her to the closest temple if she could not continue. Hina accepted her hand and stood in front of Cinkel. She shook her head and responded, with a smile. "Thank you, Cinkel, but no thanks. I can't leave this group now that I know there's evil like this in the world." Hina said. Colette came over and she too comforted her about what happened. The Chosen one, still an honor to be with her. Hina smiled and nodded her head. "Thank you, all of you. You're all so comforting." Hina told them.

She then noticed Zaul talking to someone and then applying something to a lamia-woman's key crest. In a short while, the lamia-woman was a normal human being once more. Hina gasped. "What? What just happened?" She asked aloud. This was strange to her. Very strange. Is this how far the world had progressed today? Maybe she had just been missing it... everywhere she went... Oh well, coincidences happen. Cinkel then said that he promised to bury Torus, and also called Hina a lovely lady, which made her blush and look at the ground.

Hina then noticed the man who decapitated the monster-man begin to hack off its limbs and scatter them in the woods. Hina covered her mouth once more and before she could watch anymore of this she quickly turned her back it. Never had she seen anything like this. She had a horrified look on her face, but it began to change to one of tiredness shortly after. She was breathing heavily, though. She heard talk of necromancers too. Vile beings, resurrecting the dead for their bidding, and more. Perhaps that was why that man cut up Torus. Even so, it disgusted Hina.

Hina gasped and said, "Oh my, I still have to introduce myself to the people who I fought alongside." Hina grabbed the sides of her skirt and lifted them as she bowed. "Hello, my name is Hinnacle Alseance, priestess of Martel. But you can just call me Hina" She told the group. "Might I have your names?" Hina asked them, giving the warmest smile she could given the circumstances.

((After longs last, I post! Sorry for how long it took, I've been having a bad case of writers block, brought on upon by holiday homework, so sorry gonk Tell me what needs fixing, thanks!))

Being the one with the attention span of a termite the many conversations and movement were kind of like a blur to Schwarz. The only one that held his attention was Hina's introduction. Schwarz looked over at Hina and gave her, his self proclaimed 'million watt smile of happiness' "Sup, the name is Schwarz Silber. At your service milady." Schwarz then bowed.

This caused Oro to fall from his brother's head and plopped nose first on the ground. He let out a yelp and glared at the silver haired fool.

"Oh and how could I forget about him," Schwarz grabbed Oro with both hands and turned him to the others, "This is Oro, my brother."

It was at this point that Oro froze in Schwarz's hands. 'Oh for the love of all gods, you think of after a few millenia that he'd learn subtlety at some point, but nooooooo, I had to get stuck with the goodie-two shooed idiot.' if Oro had hands at that point he would have face-palmed with one and slammed the other into Schwarz's head. But alas, once again, he was stuck in the body of a wolf pup.

Oro sighed verbally before speaking, "First you placed me a very compromising body, you then bring up bad memories from my past, you then proceed to make a fool of yourself but also used me for a test subject for an unknown medicinal item... and that was just yesterday. Today you blatantly threw a sack full of gels to which they then scattered across the battlefield only for over half of them to get trampled by said battle or eaten in the aftermath... And now this...", It was at this point that Oro started cackling like a madman, "You better start running now my dear brother, because I'm gonna murder you once I get my humanoid body back Schwarz."

Schwarz was now sweating bullets and laughing nervously trying to think of a way to rectify his current situation, unfortunately he was drawing a blank, "... well now... this is awkward." he let his final comment hang in the air.

((Whoa whoa whoa. Sorry for the delay here. Aside from the writer's block, I thought some people still needed to post. sweatdrop ))

Neither Zaul nor Lloyd had paid attention to what Meteo had done to their foe's remains. The former was busy addressing the others, while the latter was listening intently.

Zaul nodded at Cinkel's guess before responding to Emil. "That feller—" he looked aside for a moment, overhearing Hina, "Cinkel, is it? Well he just 'bout got it right. Our best more specific guess's yer av'rage power-hungry mad scientist."

He nearly jolted at finding Cleo suddenly so close to him. "Heh, s'just...my field communication nickname, that's all." Then, looking toward Cinkel and Jason he grinned modestly and answered, "Hey now, no need ta be that formal with me. Heheh...callin' me 'Zaul' is just fine. An' uh...wow, mighty nice ta find a dwarf in our ranks. Anyway, Heal Crests're made 'f an alloy 'f orichalcum and mythril, 'cause those two seem ta carry the enchantments better'n anythin' else."

Focusing his attention on the dwarf, he continued, "I 'preciate yer offer and it'd be real swell fer ya ta make some on th' go, but I'm sure ya recognize th' base materials as extremely rare metals. I ain't sure if ya have some on ya, and if ya do, I'm sure ya might be savin' it fer somethin' else. Th' maker's own supply's limited, and he's been tryin' ta look up an alchemical process ta create somethin' purty close, but then there's th' issue o' tryin' out Heal Crests made outta th' results. He's plenty concerned about somethin' goin' wrong, y'know?"

"Huh, I was half right," Lloyd mused, "I thought the coloring looked like orichalcum. Maybe my dad could help in some way too...If we have the time to drop by my place, we'll see. Or...hey, since we're heading to the Gaoracchia Forest, we could probably pay Altessa a visit after we get things done there." At this point, he was approached by Meteo and given the note. "Huh...?" After he read it, he looked over at the spot where Torus' body used to be. Judging by the mess that the pool of blood now was, he began to think that the man had done his deed with reckless abandon. His brow creased and his eye twitched as his mind's eye formed images of how he must've done it. He wasn't starting to think ill of the mute, but he was beginning to feel some sort of unease at his presence. "Uh, yeah. I...guess you have a good point there."

Noticing an introduction round starting over where the wolf brothers and the priestess were, Zaul only thought it proper to continue. "Aw, can't help but notice a few new faces here." He would nod at each one he'd name. "'Course, you've been pointed out as miss Colette Brunel over there...and miss Hina's called ya Cinkel...but I'm afraid I haven't caught yer name yet, dwarf. Pardon my referrin' to ya so informally. I'm Zaul Oleander, by th' way, fer those who haven't heard yet. Pleasure ta make yer 'quaintance, all."

The red-clad swordsman turned his attention to the priestess. "Ah yeah, haven't seen you before, Hina. Welcome to the group! I'm Lloyd...wait, did someone say that already? Heh." He made a slightly playful grin with a chuckle, forgetting about how well-known he was as usual.

The dwarf listened to Zaul, nodding at appropriate times. "Jason Ironheart, o' the clan Ironheart, who doesn't mind bein' called a dwarf 'cause that's what 'e is!" He gave a bellowing laugh.
"Yer metal sensin' instinct is keen, me lad. I 'ave none o' them metals on me at ta moment. I almost bought me some, but that's another tale, that is! I'm just letting ye know that if I get me hands on any, it'll be goin' directly ta yer supply." It was clear that he meant it, since the mention of the cause had distracted him from comforting a lady. "That's the best cause I've seen in more years than these young'uns 'ave seen of anythin'."

Emil winced as Meteo hacked off the limbs of Torus's corpse and scatter them in the woods. Feeling uneasy at the sight, he looked away to see that Hina had a horrified look on her face from watching Meteo. That is until she introduced herself and asked for their names. "It's nice to meet you, Hina. I'm Emil Castagnier." He said with a smile.

Colette had listened in as Zaul spoke more about the Heal Crests. She then glanced over to Schwarz when he introduced himself and Oro, who was in the form of a wolf pup. "That's Oro?" o.o She blinked for a moment then walked over to Oro. "You're so cute!" ^.^ She wanted to hug the pup. She also gave a friendly smile to Zaul when he introduced himself. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Zaul."

Cinkel cleared his throat. Not loudly, but more out of slight annoyance. I guess I'll just use that technique he taught me. He clutched his right hand into a fist, and with that, there was a low rumble in the directions of the body parts. His smile didn't waver has he joined back into the conversation. "Ah, yes, Sir Zaul. You're correct. My name is Cinkel A'non. It is quiet the pleasure to meet you all. I know very little on how to work with metals, but I'll gladly pass on any of these materials to you if I am ever to happen upon them. I've no use for them myself.

"Oh, my name's Cleo." Cleo joined in the introductions just before turning her attention to Colette. "Isn't he though? He's so adorable that I could just pet him all day." She let out a light giggle.

Meteo simply held up a paper with his name and the statement: "I'm hunting the witch who cursed me." He then began writing a new thing to give to Lloyd.
"Shouldn't we be moving on now? It's going to get late, and this isn't a good place to camp." He wanted to get as close to Gaoracchia as possible, since the sooner he got back his voice, the sooner his life would be normal again, one of the few things he ever wanted in his lifetime. He could feel himself getting closer to his goal, but he wasn't there yet.

For a moment, Zaul made a slight expression of curiosity. Was that a twinge of earth magic he faintly sensed somewhere? No, it was probably just his imagination. Shaking his head a bit, he turned his glance back to the party and duly replied, "Ah, thank ya kindly Jason, Cinkel."

Lloyd creased his brow as he read Meteo's message, fighting back his right eye's urge to twitch. Was the man seriously this...self-centered? There were eleven more people awaiting Zaul's associates for their treatment to return to normal. They couldn't be moved into the town they just came from because of their monster-like appearance. And as demonstrated, the shift brought on by the Heal Crests sure can knock the wind out of someone. On top of that, his remark about the time getting late threw him for a loop—it was still only morning, perhaps just about two hours away from noon. Though, to his credit, it was a fairly good point that sickly people shouldn't be left out in a place like this for too long. "Uh...relax, pal," he spoke up, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head, "We've got plenty of time and there's quite a handful of people here who need to be taken care of. Though..." he went on to turn to the gunman, "will they be much longer, Zaul?"

He opened his mouth, about to answer, but something in the distance caught his eye. A couple of people, to be precise, and their calls interrupted him. Just one look at them instantly told the party why exactly they were called "Steel Fist" and "Copper Heel".

"Oooiiii~! Sorry for the wait there, guys!"

"Ditto. My estimate was shamefully off, eheheh."

"Don' sweat it, y'all came jus'n time." Zaul casually walked up to greet his colleagues with a smile and turned to the rest of the party once he was beside them. "Everyone, these're my guildmates, Clarice n' Leonas. I'm sure ya can tell what codename belongs ta who."

Leonas lifted a hand from the hilt of one of his blades to give a playful sort of two-fingered salute and a wink to the others. "Yo."

"Honored to meet you all," Clarice spoke, offering a slight bow in courtesy.

Lloyd blinked at the two in astonishment. "Whoa...your arms, your legs...are all metal? How do they even work?" Indeed, his manners could have used a little work, but the two weren't all that offended.

Clarice chuckled. "Sorry, but that's confidential information. Even though we've had these replacements on for a few years now, our Doc says we're still in testing phase."

"Yeah, he wants to be completely sure about things before he allows this to become a widespread treatment. I'm afraid that's all we can leave it at," Leonas explained.

The red-clad swordsman folded his arms and nodded. "Alright, I guess I'll take your word for it. We're kinda getting off-point here anyway."

Clarice nodded in agreement, still smiling. "Heh, exactly." She proceeded to take out her own black case of Heal Crests, as did Leonas. Zaul brought his out again, and they all opened them to count stock.

"...You two have five each, 'n with my remainin' three, it's actually more'n enough. Good!"

The three went on to apply the Heal Crests on the monster people. After several minutes they were done with about five more of them. Leonas took a quick pause to speak to Zaul. They were both kneeling on one knee.

"You look like you have somewhere to go with the others. How about we handle the rest of everything from here on out?"

Zaul stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Sounds fair, but how'll you two move all these people? I also don' know when I'll be able ta report back ta base ta pick up more Heal Crests..."

"We got that covered. We contacted Anya along the way and she was luckily able to flag down a supply caravan headed for Luin. Then she'll try to reach you as soon as possible with a new stash."

"Hey, thanks man." Grinning, he moved his hand from his chin to engage in a brotherly handshake with Leonas. "I'll keep y'all posted."

Finishing treatment of the sixth person, Clarice took a moment to look up at her colleague and add, "No sweat! You take care out there..." she looked to the rest of the group and smiled to conclude with, "...all of you."

Zaul nodded at her, then stood up to face the rest of the party. "Well, we're clear ta move on. We all ready?"

Lloyd scratched his head. "...I want to help take care of them too, but I do trust they have everything secure from here."

The two awaited the others' answers, but were still well aware that Meteo was more than ready to get moving.

The dwarf was liking this group more and more. He gave "Steel Fist" and "Copper Heel" a cheerful "Hahah!" of approval. He was clearly approving, not laughing to make fun of them. Artificial limbs of metal! Normally, he would have wondered about the strange rumble, but was enjoying himself too much. He hoped that his good mood would be infectious for the recently-healed people.

He waited and watched the application of the Heal Crests, giving Steel Fist and Copper Heel a friendly nod of farewell when they left. "The same goes ta you, lass n' lad. As for me, Zaul, I'm ready ta rumble over here. Jus' give us the word."

Cinkel raised a brow at Steel Fist and Copper Heal, but seemed to have dismissed a thought once they explained away questions of their limbs. He returned Clarice's bow of greeting with one of his own. "The pleasure is all mine." He didn't bother with introducing himself seeing as they wouldn't be long, and he wish not to hold them up.

Cinkel's attention perked up once Clarice addressed the group as a whole again. "A lovely like you worrying of the well being of a group you hardly met?" He turned his attention to Zaul. "This guild of yours sound like a good lot. It does my old heart some good."

Before answering Zaul's question, Cinkel turned to Cleo. "You should head on home. He won't be able to take care of our friends by himself for very long. Besides, you shouldn't be around me when she takes over tomorrow."

Cleo pouted at him before muttering a disappointed, "Okaaaaay." She quickly perks up and turns her attention to the group. "Daddy says to go home, but maybe we can play again. Bye, puppy." She waved a hand at Oro and blew a kiss at Zaul before she skipped on her merry way.

Satisfied with the outcome of their conversation, Cinkel turned back to Zaul. "I'm prepared to go if everyone else is, Sir Zaul."

Colette smiled from hearing Cleo's comment about Oro's pup form. She wouldn't mind hugging and petting the pup all day long. Her attention soon shifted to 'Steel Fist' and 'Copper Heel' when they arrived. She made a friendly smile as Zaul introduced them. "It's a pleasure to meet you both." She said.

Emil was curious about their metal limbs as the two explained about them. Both he and Colette watched them apply the Heal Crests along with Zaul. Emil's gaze then shifted over to Cleo as she said her farewells. "Goodbye, Cleo. I hope we meet again soon." He waved to her.

Colette glanced over to Clarice when she addressed the whole group. "You too." ^.^ She then gave a nod to Zaul. "I'm ready as well." She was glad that Zaul's guildmates could take care of all those people.

"So am I." Emil said with a smile.

Meteo looked at the new arrivals, then looked around him. He had been used to other areas and to being on the move so much that he sometimes felt displaced from time. However, for now he would just stay with the group and watch the two newcomers handle things.

Hina felt quite surprised when the man, who introduced himself as Schwarz Silber, well, introduced himself to her, giving her a smile as well as bowing to her. He said milady, which made Hina feel embarrassed. "I-it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Schwarz. Hina said, awkwardly. Hina also saw Oro, a wolf pup by the looks of it. Schwarz referred to it as his brother, though. Hina at first thought that perhaps he had grown so attached to the pup that it felt like a brother, but those thoughts soon vanished when the wolf pup spoke. The dog spoke. Hina couldn't help but look at it for a few seconds out of shock.

Hina's attention suddenly shifted to the hero of regeneration, Lloyd Irving. He introduced himself to her, and Hina felt awe struck, mostly because he was speaking to her. It took her a few seconds but she finally mustered the ability to speak once more. "I'm... I'm so honored to make your acquaintance, Lloyd." Hina curtsied once more to Lloyd, as it was all she could think of to do. A young man had also come to introduce himself to Hina. He introduced himself as Emil Castagnier. It was a cute name. She cleared her throat before saying to Emil, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Emil." These people were all so nice, it made Hina feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Another girl, a blue haired girl, introduced herself as Cleo. She, like Colette, seemed to find Oro quite adorable, not that he wasn't, but still.

Soon, two newcomers appeared, a girl and a guy. They were soon given names; Clarice and Leonas. Clarice told them it was an honor to meet them all, giving them a slight bow. Hina responded with a curtsy to Clarice and Leonas. "Likewise." Hina said. Lloyd pointed at that the two had limbs that were mechanical, which fascinated Hina. Sadly, the info was confidential. Soon enough the two were on their way, wishing the group well. Hina waved goodbye to them as they left.

Zaul ask if they were ready to move out, to which Hina nodded. "I'm ready whenever you all are." She responded. The others seemed about ready to move as well. They were going on an adventure, how exciting!!
