Nova managed to contain a laugh. keeping up appearances was going to be a lot harder. Trinity destroying a town? That he'd like to see.
"Yes that is terrible indeed. Such an ill fate you must have my lady. To have one's home town destroyed and to be chased by a necromancers minions. But worry not, for as long as I am here no harm shall come over you."

If they were influenced by what he thought they were then he had to snap them out of it somehow whilst keeping up his own act. If he remembered correctly it would take some serious inner conflict to dispel it slightly. The opposite sex could also react violently towards others affected by it in an attempt to make sure that the one they are after is theirs.

But if you feel that you can keep both out of harms way without blundering like before, you may. If not..." Nova took Shara's hand and kissed it." Then I shall be her knight. While you remain Kerana's" It wasn't sure if he was provoking him or putting him back in his place.

Alec felt the haze begin to lift a bit. Nova was right, his first priority was to make sure no harm came to Kerana. However, the kiss that Nova gave to the young harlot made Alec's blood boil. He begrudgingly said, "Right, of course. My...master...is my primary concern."
Alec's mouth felt dirty.

"Though it is completely understandable to forsake your lives to the beautiful Lady Shara, did you not make a pact?" Nova asked but it sounded a bit like mockery. Provocation.
"Very well, Alec shall guard Kerana who in turn will be checking out the area while I shall protect Lady Shara." Nova said in a confident manner as he locked an arm with Lady Shara.
'Lexi is going to murder me if she sees this....' he thought to himself.

Alec could nearly feel the color green coursing through his veins when Nova trotted off with Shara. At that same time he felt something squeeze in around his neck. He was perplexed as to what that may be, but it subsided once he took his place by Kerana.
"Lead the way." He almost grumbled.

"Well I say if it is his master's wish to protect Shara then it is his wish as well.". Kerana said with a form of following some kind of logic.
Shara was Solent as the verbal fight over her affection took place. She love the sound of arguing, chaos, conflict. To add a little more to it, "Oh, I feel safe in your arms already. ". To really get things reeling she placed a gentle kiss on Nova's cheek.

You're not making this any easier Kerana. His attention shifted back to Shara.
"While I appreciate such praise my Lady, you should not yet thank me. There might be more of those vile creatures around." Nova replied.

Alec's blood began to boil. He could feel the beast starting to overtake his mind. This was not his beast though. The wolf spirit was doing everything it could to get Alec's attention, to break him from the haze caused by the powder.
But whatever was in that powder was causing a jealousy strong enough to stifle their spiritual connection. Alec was deaf to the wolf, and Kerana being referred to as his master was making things much worse.
An audible growl began to emanate from deep in Alec's throat.

Shara's treatment of Alec seemed very demeaning, something Kerana was very strongly against. A terrible head ache came over her, she rubbed her head. She was no longer under the powder's power. She went along with it until she could figure out what to do next.

"Be careful my Lady. It is wise not to wake a sleeping wolf. Even leashed wolves are dangerous." Nova said as he cut her off from Alec by extending his arm between them. From the corner of his eye he noticed Kerana rubbing her head. Normal headache or is she breaking free from this?
"Kerana, my dear, if you would please." Nova said still in his act."Please calm you guardian. I would hate to have to put him down if he attacks Lady Shara." There was a brief wink towards Kerana at the end.

Based on Nova's response, she got the gyst of how to react. "But of course, in order to protect Lady Shara, it's best not to lash among each other now isn't it Alec?" She played with his bangs a little finding his eyes, they weren't the same as when she last saw them, it seemed like he was under a trance a spell of some sort. It may likely be from the lady called Shara. Why cast a spell? All she had to do was asked if she needed protection. Never the less I can't make it look obvious that I'm trying to break her spell.

When Kerana's hands played with Alec's hair he felt something deep down inside call out to him. It was faint, and he couldn't make out what it was saying, but it was enough to calm him down a bit. Though still under the sway of Shara's dust, Alec could still be calmed by Kerana's gentle nature.
He took a deep breath and released his tension. "Of course, Kerana. Whatever you say."
