Although the Azurill seemed to be a pretty quick thinker, and it looked like a really close call, but the Zangoose proved to be quicker than the Azurill as her sharp claws slashed across the small Azurill's skin.
Slash jumped backwards in an attempt to avoid any automatic attack in retaliation.

[16 - 2 + 10 - 7 = 17dmg]
Hp: -1
It was one swift move, and one strong hit ....as the Azurill went down in a single slash. The pokemon fainting dead away ...as he lay on his back with his feet in the air as his eyes swirls in his complete defeat.
This wasn't one pokemon that would be added to her team as in stead her Zangoose would start to feel a bit stronger.

[Okay, brightstar ....no offense, but you need to stop deleting posts. Even if it's a mistake, generally the idea is to leave it there so that no one can accuse you of cheating]

Mia stood there, stunned. Her Zangoose had just taken out this Azurill with one slash... While she had planned on Azurill being a wonderful addition to her team, she was impressed.
Assuming the Azurill was only knocked out, she picked him up and put him back where she had found him: nestled at the base of a tree. If he was going to wake up soon, he might as well wake up in a comfortable spot. She smiled and walked away, giving her Zangoose a thumbs up.
For now, she would just have to keep walking ahead until she ran into another Pokemon ready to battle. ooc// eeeeek, sorry, I accidently deleted my last post. I had rolled a 3 though... I'll roll the dice again, just in case you want me to roll again.

[5/10] [No, your roll is fine. ]
The sound of the wind whipping through the trees would be all that she would hear as the pokemon once more nestled in his tree would slowly sleep quite peacefully. Though he would wake up with a slight pain in his gut ....as she would leave him behind in that tree.
A crackle of lightning overhead would suddenly boom ....as things were slowly starting to change overhead. Mia had been lucky to arrive there with the sun above them, but, now the weather was slowly changing. It was quickly becoming more and more what it would be normally ...as the first trickles of rain would fall.

ooc// I really don't mean to argue, but I'm pretty sure this is the first one I've ever accidently deleted? But yeah, if I wanted to cheat, I wouldn't have admitted to deleting my post and telling you what I had rolled and then rolling again, giving you the choice to choose which roll would be best to go with. sweatdrop
But I do understand, it would suck if someone cheated and I will try to not make that mistake again. whee

At about the same time she felt some raindrops fall on her shoulders, she saw the lightning streak across the sky and the thunder following close after. Mia ran for cover under a fairly big tree, her Pokemon following close behind.
"I'm sorry, but you're all going to have to return to your pokeballs... It's starting to rain and I didn't like the sound of that thunder," she explained while taking out the three pokeballs from her satchel. As soon as she had called all of her Pokemon back, she debated whether or not she should remain under this tree where she was somewhat safe from the rain, or risk getting soaked. She decided to take the risk and ran from the tree she was under to another. This is what she would do until the rain stopped... run from one tree to another and trying to avoid getting drenched.

It seemed as though her plan was working out decently well; she was hardly wet. She was tempted to remain where she was, safe from the rain under this big tree, but she knew she should probably keep going on.
'Well... Resting for a few minutes can't hurt...' She thought, getting a small and thin sweater out of her satchel and put it on. It wasn't exactly the warmest article of clothing she owned back home, but she needed something small enough to fit in her satchel, and besides it was better than nothing.
So she sat on the ground, resting her head against the tree and tried to relax while trying to remain dry and warm.

Trying to stay awake proved to be a lot harder than she thought... After realizing that there was no way she could stay awake, she called out Slash, hoping she would wake her up if danger presented itself.
It seemed as though falling raindrops was the most relaxing sound to her, as she easily slipped into a light slumber.

The Zangoose rolled her eyes at the sight of her sleeping trainer. So she was being used as a watch dog... How lovely. The perks of being a "pet", she thought. But she knew she had to keep her trainer safe, so she kept watching out for any Pokemon who might be looking for a battle... She wasn't scared though. After all, she had knocked out an Azurill with one scratch.
edit: ooc// jeez, where are all the low rolls! D:

Slash stood there, listening to the raindrops fall. To most humans, everything would seem so peaceful, like nothing could possibly go wrong in this beautiful red forest, but to Slash, she knew that the peacefulness could be interrupted at any moment and Pokemon of any shape and size could be very dangerous. She knew of the dangers that were lurking in the darkness... But she wasn't afraid of them, she only hoped for the chance to battle them soon enough.
Slash looked back, noticing that his trainer was starting to stir. Maybe his post as a "watch dog" was now over.
"Thanks Slash, you can return to your pokeball now." She got up, stretched and put Slash's pokeball away. She stood there for a few minutes, appreciating the quietness and than ran for cover under a different tree. ooc// please be low...

[10/10]
It was in that drizzle that Mia would find the end .....and not only the end of the beautiful red forest, but the start of a much harsher land. It was there before she would cross the border that a sound of something running through the grasses and through the foliage would be heard ....as the small Azurill would appear right behind her.
The wound over his belly was healed but still visible.
Eyes narrowed and determined ....the pokemon wanted one more battle with her. One more match before she left as his eyes narrowed.

Hearing the footsteps getting closer and closer as a fairly fas, she turned around. Right behind her stood an Azurill. But not just any Azurill... It was the Azurill that Slash had knocked out before. She admired his perseverance, coming back to challenge her to another battle. "Gutsy..." She muttered, getting Venus' pokeball out of her satchel. She had not had the chance to battle with yet and she hoped that she would help her capture this Azurill.

Azurill [m] lvl:3/Hasty Hp: 16 Pp: 18 Att: 7 Def: 7 Spd: 7 Sp Att: 7 Sp Def: 8 Moves: Splash, Charm, Muddy Water Capture roll: 15
A tail would be stabbed at his opponent as he glares darkly. He was ready this time, and he had no plan of being taken down ....as he open his mouth to fire the attack. With their speed being the same, it meant that both pokemon had the right to attack at the same time, and the victor would be decided by the accuracy of their attacks as the muddy water spew forth.
He had actually be sort of saving the attack .....as he glares daggers. He wasn't going to lose again ...ever.
