 Amelia had been sitting under a tree just outside of the Headmistress's office for a while now. Long enough to forge a plan. Seeing her friend Olli come over, she beckoned and eagerly whispered to her, "The windows! Things go in and out from there all the time. And see they're open" A quick point confirmed her statement. "Plus, Headmistress Sing is with the Language Master. Don't know why they're walking so close but whatever, she's distracted. Now's the time to do it!" She knew--hoped the plan was failproof. It couldn't take them too long to find a map right?

Olli Hufflepuff ; Fifth YearAs Olli approached, she nodded her understanding of the plan. She grabbed her broom, which she had hidden in a bush just below the tower. She mounted the Firebolt and waved for Ammy to follow as she propelled herself into the sky. This would be a piece of cake.

Amelia had summoned a school broom earlier, while waiting. She was surprised when the one she'd used earlier when Ginny was teaching her to fly came. Now, she too straddled her broom and kicked off. She hovered for a moment, to insure she had control over the broom then followed Olli upwards. "Do you want me to go first because I'm smaller?" She was used to climbing through windows, she doubted this one would be any different.

OlliHufflepuff ; Fifth YearOlli nodded. "You can go first," she said. It wasn't that Ammy was smaller or she was scared to go first when Sing was clearly on the grounds, it was that she thought Ammy deserved to go first. She hovered just outside the window.

Amelia didn't waste any time. She twisted on her broom so that she was side saddling it. For a moment she thought she'd fall backwards, but instead she inched the broom closer to the sill, tossing one leg over it. The second quickly followed, and she grabbed the broom, insuring it wouldn't fall on some unsuspecting bystander. Pulling the rest of her body and the school broom in was the easy part. She opened the window more for Olli, then leaning the broom beside the window she headed straight for the desk. She started with the center drawer, tugged hard. Finding it locked she pulled out two hairpins. It barely took her ten seconds to open it. She looked over her shoulder with a grin on her face at Olli. "Just in case she'd paranoid and has the room marked with spells." She was good at picking locks. It was something she'd taught herself, and a trait she was very proud of.

OlliHufflepuff ; Fifth YearOlli turned her broom to the side and quickly leapt off into the room, grabbing the broom and pulling it in as she landed. This wasn't the first time she'd had to do something like this. She turned and saw Ammy picking a lock with a... hairpin? She was just about to say something when Ammy explained. She nodded with respect, before adding, "I don't think she would leave it in an easy-to-find place."

Amelia nodded in agreement, "A secret compartment?" she guessed aloud before climbing under the desk to see if one was built in. There was a fair amount of tapping from under there as she felt around for compartments.

OlliHufflepuff ; Fifth Year"Probably," Olli said before doing the same thing to her chair. She tapped each leg, the seat, and the backrest before moving on to different items around the office. She was just checking bookshelves when she found a hollow spot. She turned and glanced at Ammy with wide eyes.

Amelia, who was laying on her back on the floor, like an auto mechanic, scooted out from under the desk as she sensed Olli's surprise and glee. She scrambled into a standing position, hurrying over to her friend's side. In a whisper, as if anything louder would get them caught she asked, "What is it? Go on!" The young girl was practically bouncing with excitement.

OlliHufflepuff ; Fifth Year"I think I've found it..." Olli grinned at Ammy as she again tapped the hollow spot in the bookcase. She searched and continued to tap for an opening but she couldn't find one. "Any ideas?" she asked, turning to her friend.

Amelia frowned, biting her lip. "It's gotta be a magical way of opening it. But magic might set off any sensors, so we'd have to open it quickly and leave. Do you think Alohomora would work or is it too simple?" Amelia took her hairpin again, this time running it along the gap of the edge. Hitting something, she nodded, "Yeah, it's locked here. Lemme see what I can do." It would be difficult as she couldn't see the lock, but lock-picking worked more on sound than sight. Bending her hairpins, she set to work.

OlliHufflepuff ; Fifth YearOlli thought for a moment. "Wait, don't you think if she saw the lock had been picked with a hairpin she'd assume it was a student? I can do nonverbal spells, maybe we could try that?" she said, glancing around. She wanted to leave the least amount of evidence possible. "We can cast a few charms on our way back that will keep her from trying Prior Incantato."
