Well, it was time to judge! Gladice left the judge table and went toward the first table that was in her sigh, which was Kevin and Benedikt. She looked at the plate in front of her. Well... Those were froglegs, a classic! They looked strange, but she didn't really care how they looked she cared how they were done and how they tasted! Still... was that... mayonaise? Well, the French did like mayo over ketchup, so that made sense... somewhat. She took one to her mouth and tasted it, without really being sure of how that would turn out.

 Oh my! This was actually pretty good! She did like 'em chicken legs! And those tasted nothing like anything she had ever tasted! But was different always better? No, not always. Still, she was impressed! Even more since the man was blind - Wait what? The man was blind? He sure looked like it at least... That.. was a strange turn of event... she should give him a bonus point for that! Oh well, too late now. Next table!
Oh! It was Keith! She had expected him to cook with his boyfriend, but it woudl seem that they weren't... Oh my! Were they fighting? they seemed so close.. in fact, she could have swear she had seen them making out a moment ago. Only then did she notice Quentin sitting on a stool behind the cooking counter. Awe! They were cooking father-son! That was cute and adorable!
She looked at the plate in front of her. Bit size vol-aux-vents? Oh, nice one! She was impress, like always by keith. It seemed a bit rough on the edged tho. Either he had lacked time or he had let Quentin do some stuff for him. She took one and placed it into her mouth, expecting something good! Like always~

Aaaaad, she was disapointed. It didn't taste bad. No, far from that, it was okay but.. The cream? Way too rich for her... Too much butter? Probbaly. And the taste of the chicken, while being good, was a bit overpowered. It was good, but nothing amazing. Oh well, he still had 2 rounds to catch up. She proceeded to the next table which was Freja and Celeste and their... french toast? WELL... the theme was french and not french cuisine so French toasts were good enough for her... if they weren't so... ordinary. There wasn't anything in it worth mentioning. Just.. plain..basic French toast.

....and they weren't all that good either. She made a small pout before moving to the next table. At least they hadn't been disgusting. Just... not good.
Next table was Haruka! She had loved her one year, got disapointed the year after (but that was all Nanami's fault), how would this year be? Gladice looked at the Quiche in front of her. That was a nice choice but... looked like a disappointment once again. It was so... badly done. How could she have failed her! She had so much hope for her 5 years ago... Maybe it was because her mother was on the judging panel this year? She was stressed? Yes, it could only be that...

....and it tasted just like it looked: disapointing. She shook her head and made way, trying to forget every hope she once had for the young girl
This table was two men that she had never seen before in the festival. For a moment, she had suspected them of being the twins, since the only two males to have been together at the festival had been her Keith and Conor and them, but after closer examination, they looked nothing alike and she was relieved.
+1 for not being the Tepes!
However, he joy was cut short when she saw when they had made. What the heck was that? It was some weird mixture of something she didn't want - was that marshmellow and chocolate? That was a desert! It wasn't even an appitizer!
- 1 for wrong category.
Further more.... There was nothing French about that...
- 1 for non-respect of the theme.
She took a bite, really afraid of what it would tast like...

Oh! OH! It tasted really good however! So sweet and crunchy and oh that was so good. She took another bite of the stick, really wishing the man would have done that for desert and not apitizer. He wouldn't have lost so many points for something so good! It would be a perfect kid snack! Oh she loved it.
Still happy from her little sugarruh, Gladice made her way to Benedetta's table. What had she done? Oh! Escargot! And pretty one at that! What was the little mixture on tho? Was it some cheese mousse? She had seen people using them. Really, everything seemed well done! She was happy and couldn't wait to taste it!
+1 for being in a good mood.

Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as it looked. Who mixed Banana with escargot, really? Being original wasn't always for the best. They should have used a lemon mousse instead of a banana one. Oh well, it still tasted good, just nothing exeptional.
Next table...

Florence.
Well...Florence AND Reinbach, she just had to wish that the man had done more than just large monkey. She looked a the green soup they had made... was it... French Laundry Soup? It looked like it... Could she trust it? Well... it seemed to have been well mixed. She couldn't even tell the ingrediant appart... that might have been for the best...

Oh deer lord.. this was actually really good! Maybe all those years at the festival had made her imune to the Florence food.... Yeah, that was the only explaination she could find as she walk away, wishing that it wasn't a time bomb ready to explode the next morning...
Next table was Keith's boyfriend and their other son. John was it? What had they done? French fries? Well... that was pretty simple and truth to be told, she hadn't expect them to do any better, but eh, family cooking is always cute...

They were... average. But what could one expect from french fies? A bit on the crunchy side, which was what she liked. She shrugged and moved on to... Alanis! Oh! Yes! the bestest of the best cook! She had won first place more than once and her meals were always wonderful! Strangely, especially those after Lucas had fainted... Oh well, coincidence.
This time, they had made Vichyssoise. It looked good but... strangly, far from being something that Alanis would have done... it was probably Lucas who had done it. She took a little spoon, tasting the potato leak soup with curiosity.

It was good alright, but... she had expected more. Maybe she had been busy doing something else? Oh well, could one blame a girl in love?
She went to the next table, Turner and Talna's! Oh, she hadn't even notice them at the festival! She would hav loved to stop and chat, but unfortunately, she didn't have the time to do so. She looked at their little tunips (what else coudl ahve been expected of them) and smiled. It looked really good! but did it taste good? That's what she was about to learn!

Actually, no. It didn't tasted very good. Maybe with a meal or something, but just like that it was too.. turnipy. Not that she would ever tell that to the other woman. Last time someone had criticized a turnip in front of Talna.... Well... Let's just say that they had started a TV series about angry housewives on that....
She went on! This was... Catrina and Mei. She had never seen there beofre at the festival, so she had no idea what to expect from them. She looked at their weird dish for a minute, trying to figure out what was in front of her when it stuck her! It was a Steak Tartar! Oh! What originality! What guts! She had never expected someone to actually make something raw like that! Good job girls!
+1 for originality... Good thign she didn't notice the worms...

It didn't taste that good however... in fact, it was kind of squishy for a reason she couldn't figure. Shrugging it off, she moved to the next table.
There was Zell and Raiden and their...Escargot? But... She had already tasted Escargot! Average one, of course, but still!
- 1 for having the same dish as someone else.
They looked pretty well done too, but no more than Benedetta's... Hopefully, they would taste better.

All in all, they were the same. At least they hadn't used some weird banana paste to garnish it. She just hoped they would do something different next time.
Next table was Bela's husband. She had been surprised not to see the blonde at the festival since Xiero was there, but now that she thought about it, she hadn't came to any since the year she had judge... that was a pretty traumatic experience, she couldn't hate her for it.
She then looked at Xiero's meal and was delighted by it! The bater looked to have been done perfectly! The ingredient chosen expertly! Oh yes! This was the kind of cooking that made her young again! Oh, she couldn't wait for the desert! Mister Baker was better making something good there too! Without wasting a moment, she grabbed one and taste it.

Perfect! Simply Perfect! The best way to finish this round! She was so happy, she took another one an gave a thumbs up to the baker. Ah, she was happy! Nothing better to forget an average round than by tasting something delicious at the end. She made her way back to the judge table, counting the score.

Oh! It was her turn to judge! Nanami was so excited to be judging this year, she couldn't have made it to the first table fast enough. You know, while maintaining her composure. This was an important thing, she had to be professional. Of course, nothing had prepared her for the first competitors... Kevin! And some other guy! Considering that the last time she had seen the man, he had been quite sickly, and he said he would be dead by now, she was quite startled to see him there. He didn't look like he was dying at all! The man had lied to her! She was so irritated, she barely paid attention to their food at all. Good thing, too, because she probably didn't need to know what she was eating.
- 1 for lying to her two years ago!
