Natalie looked back up at him. "They were sad." she replied simply. "Some of them were standing around with nothing to do. Or they were scared. So much to do and they didn't know what to do. So I made them feel better." she said, then looked down at her doll again. "...and some of them were stuck with the bad people. They weren't very nice to them, even though they said they were being very nice to them. Mommy let me take some of them away from that ugly place. I brought them home. I took care of them. If they're bad again, mommy will let me take more of them away." she replied.
Edel, who had been busy in one of the lower rooms of her home, looked up from a large dusty spell book. Green and blue potions boiling and stewing over a fire pit behind her.
She glanced up at him, a pair of thin silver rimmed glasses sliding down her nose. "Oh...well, of course." she replied as her dark eyes fell back onto the book. "Forgive me if I don't give you my undevided attention though. This spell needs at least part of my constant attention." she replied as she picked up a few glass beakers.

Luke frowned. "I... see..." he said. "Wait... 'that ugly place'?"
Billy shifted nervously. "Oh, uh-- Okay..." he said. "Uhh... There's this girl I've got a crush on... We've known each other for years, and we've worked together on various occasions, mostly when it comes to magic stuff. I actually saved her life earlier in Keystone City. See..."
He delved into what had happened with Black Adam and Sivana, and how he had sensed that Zatanna was more or less unsure of what to make on his crush over her (or at least, that was the vibe he had gotten).
"So, uh... can you, uh.... Give me any advice? I mean, I've only had one girlfriend, really, and we were forced to break up..."

Natalie frowned. "Metal walls...underground...locks, doors, tubes, machines, tables, shackles, knives, needles, blood, chemicals, monsters....not a nice place. Bad people. People that want to use other people's powers." she replied.
By the time Billy had finished explaining, Edel had stopped what she was doing completely and was staring up at him. Only whenever one of her potions started boiling over did she snap out of it and jump out of her seat to hurry over to it.
"I....well...." she began. She...honestly wasn't sure how to handle this one. Sure she had similar requests. But....they were young men who wanted older women. This was...a child part of the time, and a man the other half of the time. And the woman...well...being in magic, she'd know if the boy had a magical relic to make her more open to him. Or....the majority of the other spells she had.
As far as advice went.......she really wasn't the best person to be asking for such a topic.

Luke frowned thoughtfully, envisioning this place in his head-- dirty, dingy, grimy... like something out of a horror flick. And then he asked Natalie a simple question: "Do you know where we can find this place?"
Billy, meanwhile, rubbed the back of his neck and sighed. Stupid, stupid, stupid... he thought.
"I-I'm sorry Miss Edel, this has just been killing me for the last few hours when I haven't been fighting crime or anything, and I just had to let it out," he admitted. "You don't have to answer... Oh, I just remembered something: Before Zee was attacked by Black Adam, we were discussing the possible whereabouts of the helmet belonging to Doctor Fate, who is one of the most powerful sorcerers in my universe. When someone dons the helmet their soul is bonded with Nabu's and they become the new Doctor Fate. Nabu, like the Wizard who grants me my powers, is a Lord of Order and he's one of the most powerful entities in my universe. His helmet... Well, if it were to fall into the wrong hands... I-I don't want to think about what might happen."
He paused, and continued: "Anyway, could you help me locate Doctor Fate's helmet? You probably won't find it; even the Wizard couldn't, and he's about as strong as Nabu; maybe stronger, since some people say he's the strongest sorcerer in my universe, bar none. Still, it's worth a shot. But, if you're still busy, I'll wait."

Natalie smiled and looked back up at him. "Mommy knows how to get there. She's been there a few times now. She can take you there quickly if you want." she replied.
Edel sighed deeply and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Well...I...I suppose I can help. The Spectre is wanting me to make this spell a priority, but...It shouldn't be too much to at least help you look." she replied.
That was....IF that blasted being didn't return because she wasn't doing what he told her to do. Not to help any of the other heroes. If that thing came back and tried to destroy her home...tried to take her children...
"And, I'm sorry I wasn't very helpful with your previous request. I'm....honestly probably the last person you'd want to talk to on such a subject anyway. I have spells and relics that could help, but since she is involved with magic, she would likely know right away."

[[ENTER John Constantine from The Shadows]]
The spark of the match lights his unshaven face dimly, as he puffs the cigarette into life. He stepped forward, his wingtips clacking faintly on the floor with each step. That's it, Johnny Boy...play the part, he thinks as the cigarette hangs from his smirk.
"The name is John Constantine and I'm the bloody cavalry" , he purrs as he gingerly places his hands in his overcoat pockets.

//// Um...Which room are you in exactly? Luke and the others are in one room, and Edel is in another, along with several other guests that are in various rooms in the maze-like house. ////
Edel stopped very suddenly, and an empty glass container on the other side of the room crunched as large cracks suddenly ran up the side of it. She didn't move, and she didn't speak. It was all she could do to keep herself from kicking the newest intruder into the next continent.
She knew that she was...distracted with helping the Spectre, taking care of things while the new Doctor Strange was catching up on his homework and while the real Doctor Strange was taking his damn good time getting back to the real world....but seriously. What the hell. This place was supposed to have enough magical security to keep everything and anything OUT that didn't have her approval to come IN. And what has happened within the last month or so?
The same creature that kidnapped the heroes decided to stop by and steal from her after threatening her family. A green lantern crashes through her roof. Black Lanterns bust down her door. And now this Shadow Spider intru.....ugh. What. The hell? Seriously.
Very carefully, and very slowly, the sorceress sighed deeply and rubbed the bridge of her nose. Shutting her eyes tightly.
Alright....it was alright....she could just kick them all out if she needed to. This was her house dammit. Her house that was supposed to rival that of the Doctors Sanctum Sanctorum, but this universe seemed to enjoy randomly...what was the term now adays? Trolling her? That couldn't be right. That made no sense whatsoever. How was that anything like a troll?
Oh well....at least Richard wasn't....wait. Where was....oh f***....

Billy frowned, and moved toward Edel. "Miss Edel? Are you okay?" he asked her, sounding concerned. He didn't know what was going through her mind, but he assumed it had something to do with not just his arrival, but others as well, and he got the feeling that he was beginning to not really be welcome here.
"Uh-- I-if you want me to leave, I'll go. I did kind of show up uninvited, and I'm distracting you from your work..."

"No, no...it's not you. You've been here before, you were let in, I know you're not here to damage anything. It's just...." she began, then sighed again. "I just have a problem with surprise interruptions...and my husband is probably going to help demolish part of my upper floor." she half growled.
At least...that was if Alex moved outside of the room. Far enough to see Blackstone standing in the hallway outside the room listening in. Far enough that she could actually smell him...hear his heartbeat...instead of all the dolls and music and scents that permeated Natalie's room.

// It's alright. Edel and Captain Marvel are in one of her work rooms on the lower level. Lucas, Alex, Natalia, and Rosie are in Natalia's room talking. Blackstone is standing in the hallway. Alcina is in another room. Xiao is in his room. And there are lots of servants walking about. ////

((Well, I was addressing Edel and Cap. Marvel. Constantine knows tons about the Helmet of Fate, including having met it's longest host, Kent Nelson. I was kinda hoping to get involved in that plot seeing as how Daredevil is kinda in a reply coma right now and I haven't gotten to RP since I joined lol))

Edel let out another long sigh, then calmly placed both of her hands in front of her and turned back around towards their newest....unexpected and uninvited guest.
"I apologize...I am rather particular about my privacy, and dislike when strangers just...walk into my home on their own accord. My house is filled with the highest form of magic, and I am not used to people just barging in.....and that has been happening rather often lately. Most of them have caused quite a bit of....problems for me." she said calmly.
