"Well it looks like I'm stuck here for a bit," said Freya with a long sigh. She looked back at Alanna. "Why not see what you can do by helping your friends?"

Before Alanna could answer, Freya grabbed her hand and dragged her to the fighting scene. She looked them fight for a few seconds then said "Well that looks fun. Care if we join in?" she said cheerfully to the gang.

She was unaware that Wanda was on her way to the institute in hope to get some answers from Xavier too.

OOC: What can I say? I miss my chaotic scarlet witch.

Katori turned on the one who had blasted him, rolling to all fours and standing up again...hardly even hurt from his attack. He looked to the male, insane eyes flashing hatefully, and with a snarl, he lunged as if he was going for the guy's throat too...only to change direction almost in midair and slash at his chest...

Right before he could viciously attack the guy, however, a form moved into the was...She ran forward, suddenly in between the canine and Jacen just as the curved and dangerous fangs curved down, sinking themselves into her right arm. Splintering bone filled the air, blood pouring from the terrible wound.

Crimson eyes flinched in pain, and she lashed out herself, a silver dagger appearing in her hand and cutting a gash along his face, causing for Katori to jerk away and yelp in pain. The two berserkers tore into each other, blood spraying across of the floor as they battled one another. It could be noticed that, although the mutant hunter was damaging Raine, he kept on trying to avoid her and tear over to the others; one did not fight another. Raine refused to let him through; he wasn't going to harm any more people while she stood fit for battle, although some of the wounds she was gaining were enough to kill a normal person.

Finally, she grew tired of all this, and she lashed out herself, a hand lightly grazing him, her fingers pazing through his body. There was a piercing howl of agony, and the mutant hunter fell away and collasped to a heap on the floor; panting harshly; the fight out of him and whimpering painfully.

"Stop whining...I only took enough of your life energy for you to stop."

Raine growled, her right arm held gingerly as she gave Katori a violent look.

"Katori? He's my companion."

Raine answered rather sarcastically, the feral girl hardly even glancing to the girl who spoke to her. She gingerly moved her arm, which was probably the worst of her injuries. Probably.

Katori pulled himself to a sitting position, shaking his muzzle in confusion. His eyes, which did have the maddening red color, settled itself back to a pale ice blue.

OOC: Since I'm not going to be on much this week, I'll do a quick post removing Wanda and Freya from the story for a bit. razz

IC: After much thought and considering the group wasn't paying any attention to her, Freya shrugged her shoulders. "Oh well. I guess you don't want me around. Have fun with whatever that thing is." She then turned to a worried Alanna. "Feel free to follow me out dear but know that your professor won't approve your choice. You should talk to him first before taking any decisions. Now, go somewhere safe before that beast jump on you."

She knew her comrades will make sure she'll stay safe so without a word, Freya floated above the fighting scene and calmly got out of the institute like nothing wrong was going on.

After she landed outside the property, she met Wanda. "You look as fearsome as usual."

"Where is he?" the scarlet witch said with an angry tone.

"Your brother is around but I don't know where. He seems to be too fast even for the spirits. Now, what about a nice cup of tea?"

And dragged a very pissed off Wanda by the collar home.

Jacen watched this little skirmish with disregard for the people around him. He didn't care for them or about them. He just wanted out of this place. And, he knew he was going to be on the wrong side of a mouthful of teeth, but he didn't care. In fact, he didn't even raise his arms to try and shield himself from the dog's attack. He was 'saved' by some young lady, who after a few minutes of struggling, managed to stave off the attack for the moment.

It was funny, because Jacen was so close to the skirmish, that when the blood started to fly, he felt a small splatter on his face. He smiled a bit when he felt it start to run down his cheek. And so it seemed that things were calmed down now, though Jacen didn't like the fact that this dog was born, bred, and possible scientifically tampered with. He had a thought pass through his mind, but then saw the girl sitting there holding her arm carefully. There was a big gash that looked to be on top of her biceps muscle.

"We may not know you... and your companion is pretty mean, but we're not going to just act like we dont' care or want you dead. If you can keep your friend at peace as he is now, come inside and get that treated?"

Jacen sneered. How presumptuous of her to say that.

"I s'pose I owe you, kid," Jacen said as he walked over and knelt down to look at the girl's wound. Slowly, he turned and looked it over for a minute, gauging how deep it was and what kind of treatment would be good to temporarily take care of it. "This may hurt for a bit, and you're arm will probably go numb for a bit, but the bleeding will stop being as severe."

Without hesitance, he pulled his shirt over his head, ripped it into two halves, and carefully tied a tourniquet around the girl's arm, just above the cut. She looked at him, in a daze it seemed, and Jacen waved off the notion of her thanking him. All around him, he kept hearing things about, "You're welcome here, if you wish to stay," and the like. Which made Jacen grow irritated. Before he got himself to his feet, he leaned in closely and whispered to the young girl's ear.

"Miss," he said quietly, "This place is not the end all, beat all of establishments that are friendly to mutants." He paused for a second to let that sink in. "Xavier's doctrine isn't the only way of mutant life." He knew she knew that, but it didn't help to reiterate the point.

"Aren't you from here, though?," she asked. Jacen only laughed a full, hearty laugh.

"I wouldn't be caught dead living with any of these clowns," he said, ruffling a few feathers in the process. All the more fuel for him. "Anyways, all I ask is that you keep an open mind, and....just examine your options before coming to a decision about staying at this place....." Jacen got up to walk away, but before he left, he looked down at the girl sitting on the ground. "..........And....tell your friend I'm sorry if I hurt him. I was only trying to help myself get away from this place quicker."

With that, Jacen left the Xavier Institute and headed home. But, thankfully for him, it finally felt like he removed a huge burden from his shoulders.

((OOC: *falls over laughing at Jack* O_O...he's alive!))

Raine paused, listening to the male's words. She then stood to her feet, her crimson eyes clear and she knew what exactly she needed. When one of the other people, a student from this place, went to try to help her, she flinched away from the contact, and sent them all a sharp glare.

"Don't touch me."

Her voice held a sharp warning, and Raine received the feeling that even if she decided to stay here...she probably would never feel welcome. Especially if these people learned even of a few of the horrible things she has done.

"I cannot say that I thank you for your offer of allowing for me to stay here...but I do not believe that it is a wise decision. It would benefit neither party in this case."

Her voice-almost formal. It was the same as when she spoke to a potential hirer for her assassin skills. Without another word, she left, following the same tracks as the guy who had spoken to her.

She wanted to know more.

Katori snarled deeply once more at the X-Men peoples, and then padded after Raine. Oh, no...it wouldn't be the last time either of the two would be seen again....

"Katori, do you think you can trail that one guy who you attacked?"

Asking as she wiped blood from her face, taking a closer look at her numerous wounds, Raine flicked an eye towards the mutant hunter. The canine just looked at her like she had lost whatever sanity she still retained. Picking up the guy's scent, he led while Raine followed with a limp....

Regina sighed at the sudden disappearance of everyone. She was pretty sure she knew where the girl was going to end up. She had ended up there at one point but realized it wasn't the best place for her. While she was still learning her abilities, she was probably around Penny's level with controlling her powers. Hence her reasoning to follow Penny to the skirmish that had just taken place.

"Blahh!" she said with a growl and went through the shadows to end up next to a rather ticked off looking individual. "Er hi."

"The hell?!" Gen cried out, leaping back from the shadows that Regina had walked through. "How'd you do that??"

"My powers. Go fig. Hey.... want to come train with me? I need to release some steam." she asked, shrugging.

"I don't even know you...." Gen growled back, but paused. "Train? That lady with the red hair mentioned that about the danger room?"

"OH! you've met jean. Now that the danger has passed...." Regina grimaced at the sudden calling of her name. At the end of the hallway was Jean Grey, and she looked none too pleased with what she and Penny had done. "Oh boy..."

ooc: not sure if penance got the gyst of that, but i'd like jean to do a little scolding then take them to the danger room for some practice. gen needs it.... she's realy really new.
