 Yeah. Nothing I've not been through before, you could say. *He stood before her and dusted off a bit, pulling off a small strip of cloth from his sleeve to wrap around his bleeding hand* Not to break up your touchy reunion, but your companions are getting skewered.
*Diedra walked back over and whipped some vines around the overlords tail, gripping it tightly in a vice and not letting go*

 Looking up, Asphyxia saw Paris on the ground, writhing and bleeding after his failed assault on the overlord. 'Evza, give me some ice!' she yelled, running at the overlord's back. Once she drew close enough, she leapt at him, landing on his back. Clinging on, she pressed her hands over his mask.  Evza got back up again and hurried over, limping a little. She formed two large lumps of ice, which she passed over to Asphyxia, once she released the overlord with one hand. Asphyxia let out a little startled cry, the overlord trying to throw her off, and felt like she was on a bucking bronco. With the ice Evza had provided, she clubbed the overlord in the back of his head, right at the base of his skull, where the helmet failed to protect. He lurched forward, the girl nearly sliding off him.  Kelissa kicked at the overlord's hand, causing him to drop his new sword. Picking it up, she swung it at his head. He ducked, and she only just missed Asphyxia. Instead, she caught one of his horns, the tip of it sliced off, and falling to the floor. Asphyxia jumped off again, reaching around and swiping up the broken piece of horn. Once she was in front of the overlord, she wielded it like a dagger, before plunging it into the small bit of exposed skin under his chin.

*Diedra released and walked beside MK, looking across the battlefield at everyone there**MK walked over to the group, charging up his fists with LGHT and waiting to see the outcome of the current assault*

Kelissa adjusted her grip on the sword, and started to move it towards the same area Asphyxia had struck.  Before it reached its target, however, the overlord reached out, grabbing the blade of the sword with his armoured hand. He yanked it from Kelissa's grasp, and slammed the hilt into her cheek, knocking her over. Tossing the sword up in the air, he caught it by the hilt, and advanced on Asphyxia, who had now started to edge away.
He took a powerful swing at her, cutting her across the face.  She fell to her knees, holding her hand up to the wound, blood pouring between her gloved fingers. She screamed in agony when the sword worked itself through her side, skewering her completely. A vague memory buzzed inside her head; it was of herself, lighting up with electricity, using attacks far more powerful than she had managed before. If only she could do it again... She attempted to summon electricity, to get at the overlord through the metal of his sword and armour. But she was unable to produce anything more than a few pathetic sparks.

 *MK's polarity swung deep when he witnessed the attacks on Asphyxia. DRK consumed him and he formed a spear from pure DRK in his hand. He vaulted it heavily toward the overlord, piercing through both the armor and the man's shoulder**He reverted back after the attack, and immediately set to fueling Phyx with LGHT, trying fiercely to heal her wounds*C'mon damnit, I'm not going through this again! ~MK

She carefully grabbed a hold of MK's shoulder, breathing heavily as he healed her; despite his efforts, she was still in a great deal of pain. 'G-Go through...what again?' she just managed to gasp. The overlord tried to wrench the DRK spear out, and found that even with the armour covering his hands, it was too painful to touch for more than just a few seconds. Instead he left it in, kicking Kelissa away and ran full speed at MK. He held the sword up, readying himself to bury the blade to the hilt in MK's head.

Don't worry about it. *No longer playing around, MK held out an arm and froze time solid. The overlord was mere inches away, and MK decided it was time to even things out. Holding Phyx's hand for a moment, he channeled her power and passed it through himself. Charging up a few hundred thousand volts, he touched the blade aimed at him and sent the charge backwards through it. He let go and lifted Phyx, moving her off to the side and setting her back down. As he let time resume, he returned to healing her.

The voltage seared agonisingly through him, frying the overlord's internal organs. He collapsed to the ground, the sword slipping from his grasp. He twitched and shook about on the ground, as though he was suffering a fit. 'What the ******** happened?' Asphyxia quietly asked, jaw dropping.  Kelissa gingerly touched the sword, and hefted it properly when it did not shock her, as Gaertim, now fully healed thanks to Gallaine made his way over and yanked out the horn fragment that was still embedded in the overlord's neck.
After exchanging a brief look, they both decided to take advantage of the overlord's electrical induced fit, and finish him off once and for all. In unison, they both stabbed the overlord, Kelissa through the chest, and Gaertim through the jugular. Blood trickled out from his wounds, pooling around him. Kelissa pulled off his mask, and watched as the final flickers of life faded from his eyes.

 'But I could barely use it... ...What did you do?' 'It is finally over,' Kelissa confirmed. She walked over to her daughter, and collapsed on the ground next to her, giving her a hug.  With Gaertim back on his feet, Gallaine rushed over to help Paris.  'Glad you could find the time to lend a hand,' he grinned.

*Gaertim stood over Kelissa and Asphyxia, smiling widely and wiping sweat off his brow*The resistance is no more- We're the governing power now. I don't believe we could have done it without everyone here today. All I did was reach deep inside you. You've much more there then you seem to acknowledge, willing or not. Maybe next time I won't have to freeze time to let it happen~
You've some brave people following you, Gaertim. What happens after here is up to you, Kelissa, and the whole of your people.

Sure fooled me when we were a floor lower, and you were lit up like a Christmas Tree~ The challenge of ice is now over, and fire still awaits you. I've a good feeling that you will unlock something more when you get there. ~MK

I'm fine, electricity leaves the body, thankfully. Back on Gaia, we've a much larger battle approaching, and it will take every member of my facility to overtake the enemy- If we even can. It's been told that Asphyxia will face elemental trials that lead up to the battle, and at the end she will have a far greater power. ~MK
