I can dye with food coloring, cake dye and kool-aid at the moment, but I'm not set up for professional dyes at the moment (not yet anyways
xd ) Currently I have a pound of gray acotton sliver nd some white cotton punis on hand, and am expecting a red longwool and pink/brown/other colors merino, both orders being eight ounces each (I have some nice purple/blue/green stuff too but that's for me
xd ). I also have some dyed black alpaca that spins up into a lovely yarn too I can use. I can order pretty much any color though, in various types of wools and fibers and blends. If you want to check out some stuff, I order from
Paradise Fibers mostly, but have gotten from
Spunky Eclectic too. I'd love to try one of the independent dyers on
Etsy or
Artfire as well. As for fibers I know my way around, those are wool, cotton and alpaca, though I am totally down to try other fibers. I'm still practicing how thin/thick I can get stuff, but what I'm aiming for are thin singles that I can ply to whatever thickness I need. So far I seem to average a sport/dk weight in a two ply yarn. I can get a pretty thin yarn if I ply with cotton thread though, if you'd prefer that. I can't guarantee a set gauge though, sorry! I've spun mostly verigated fibers. My self I gravitate towards blacks, reds, deep purples, blues and greens, but don't let that limit you heh. (random point of interest, go to
http://thepaintedtiger.com/ and check out her rainbow stuff! Totally awesome stuff, right?) *whew* So there's my wall of text on that, hehehe. Oh and I won't charge until I'm done, because it can take a while to finish things in my world, hehe.
