My thoughts are with your friend Lady Eve. This is the second loss I have had through sites this week and by the same thing.

I'm gravely sorry for your friend's loss Eve. I'm lucky enough to have lost only a grandfather, who died happily enough. I hope that your friend and her family will pull through this. Best of luck to them!

My thoughts are with your friend too.....not even one year ago I lost my uncle(heart attack) and then my maternal grandfather a few months later-but peacefully in his sleep(cancer spread to his brain)
*best wishes to her and her family* smile <3

I have auditions tomorrow for Pirates of Penzance.
[link]
I can hit the notes confidently, but I can't hold them very long. If I get Maybell, I'll be on a no dairy diet for voice reasons.

Well, Pirates is counted as an opera. A lot of singing, very very little speaking, so it'd be 3 hours of almost nonstop singing.
And I just downed my tea, so it's bed time.

Ooh, an opera! Good luck!
I'm a choral singer, so I don't know quite that much about opera besides the fact that you have to project your voice a heckuva lot.

Well, thankfully there are mics to help with projection, but I've got that down pat just from having to deliver lines.
I'm a mezzo soprano who can hit at least the high E from Phantom of the Opera.
