I will be the lightning...  _____________________________________ [Sirin remained silent. She too did not want to fight, but she couldn't just let her take Galestar and Embergaze. Before she could speak Echo brought her attention to Harpy sitting in the darkness. She gasped, hoping that her deputy didnt not think that she was going against her orders.] "Harpy! W-" [Harpy swooped in and glared daggers at Sirin.] "Silence Sirin, you have done your part. Dont let her follow us understood?" [Sirin's expression grew stern as she nodded.]".....understood...." [Harpy shot a suspicious glare at the Sirin and then Echo. She swooped down like lightning and snatched up Galestar from the ground.] "Good." What were they talking about? What are they up too? You arnt going to betray us Sirin are you? I will have to ask Raven about your conversation later... [Harpy then took flight as the shadows fluttered into a retreat along with Raven, who gave Echo one more spiteful glare before disapearing into the darkness without a trace.] _____________________________________ ...that strikes you out of the sky, Avalon.

into the ground
and when you cried out
nowhere to be found...+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=(( Buddy i wanted it to happen differently remember? ))
[Echo blinked at Sirin and then saw Harpy. Her blood froze.
Embergaze suddenly jumped to his feet and sprang off. Galesar padded after him. Embergaze seemed delirious, skittering into trees and tripping over roots. Galestar sighed and tried to calm the warrior down.
Just then a large shadow swooped over him.]
"Run Galestar!" Embergaze shouted.
[iIn a moment of [anic, Galestar sprinted.
Echo flew into Harpy before she could grab Galestar, but Harpy slipped free before Echo could do any damage and went after Galestar. So it went, Echo smashing into Harpy to stop her flight and Harpy just getting back up again and taking off. Galestar ran as fast as he could.
Harpy finally spun around and lashed out at Echo, hitting her damaged wing from the previous fight. Echo screeched and fell to the ground, wounded. Harpy then gained a lead, leaving Echo fluttering on the ground. In a moment of desparation, Harpy reached out and snagged Galestar violently from the gorund.
Too violently.
Galestar felt a loud, sickening snap resonate throughout his body as he was lifted from the ground. His eyes were wide as his body went limp.
His spine was cracked clean through.
Turned out the death hold of an eagle was harder to control when grabbing desperately at cats..]"GALESTAR!" Embergaze yowled, turning on his feet to chase after Harpy.
[But it was too late. The birds left with the dead leader, and Embergaze lowered hiis head sadly.
How many lives did Galestar have? he thought sadly. Was that his last one...?![/o]
He shudderd. Echo limped over to him and they both stared sadly into the empty space the eagles had disappeared.]

[Pebbleheart felt her ankles throb with pain with each step. Gasping for air, she finally made it to the area, Galestar's scent was strong here. She then looked around with a worried gaze, as she parted her lips to call for her leader.] "Ga-" she stopped herself. [Her eyes filled with horror, as she heard a sudden snap. Pebbleheart looked up at the sky, to see Harpy holding an injured Galestar, who's body seems to be completely limp. Pebbleheart couldn't believe what she just saw, knowing this is going to scar her for a while.] "Galestar!!!" Pebbleheart yowled in a shrieking tone, as she looked up in the sky. [Her eyes filled with hatred as she glared up at Harpy's silouette, getting smaller as she flew through the sky. Pebbleheart let out a furious growl, as she used her sharp claws to scratched a tree bark to let out her anger. She then felt her eyes fill with tear, her body starting to shiver.] "Galestar is dead...DEAD! Harpy, you vile bird! You threaten to kill my son but now my leader?!" Pebbleheart yowled, feeling light headed.* `•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´ ...It is the small pebble

Oh sure. :'D Leaders are supposed to spring back to life after losing a life, but he's taking longer cuz he's talking with StarClan. x3 Plus nobody knew how many lives he had. D: Specially not Iceears cuz...well..she lost her memory. |3))
[Embergaze watched Galestar being lifted off in horror.
...he's not springing back to life, he realized in fear. Why isn't he coming back-?!
Embergaze felt his body shake, and he gaped in horror. ...wh...why...
A small tear, almost too small to notice, dripped from his eye. He bowed his head, feeling a wave of loss overcome him.
Oh StarClan, why?!
He raised his head, looking at Pebbleheart with suddenly tired eyes.]
"How many lives did he have?" he asked her desperately. "Please tell me how many lives he had-!!"
[He gritted his teeth furiously, squeezing his eyes shut. His claws sank into the ground as he shuddered.]
"This is all my fault," he whimpered in agony. "If I had never been mouse-brained enough to get captured..."
[He trailed off, lowering his eyes. Then he raised them and looked at Pebbleheart with a hollow look in his eyes. She was his leader now, and he waited patiently for her orders.]

Over mountains... `•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´ *[Pebbleheart shifted her gaze to Embergaze, a angry yet emotionless aura in her eyes.] "I don't know!" Pebbleheart snapped. "If I knew how many lives he had then I would've been keeping an eye on him!" Pebbleheart growled furiously. [She then looked away, starring at the tree with deep scratch marks.] "...I apologize Embergaze...i'm just upset..." Pebbleheart apologized, in a tiring tone. [She then lifted her gaze as she looked up at the sky, nothing was in sight except for the blue sky.] "Embergaze...this wasn't your fault...it's not like you wanted to get captured." Pebbleheart said, in a weak tone. "This was those stupid feathered creatures fault, and one day i'll kill one of them...especially Harpy..." she hissed. [Her pupils sharpened as she met her gaze with Embergaze's.] "Galestar wouldn't be that leader who trains us to kill every living creature. He's the one who wants to keep our clan happy and safe...no matter what dark times we encounter..." Pebbleheart murmered. "That's why we should keep the clan safe, and put more patrols to check for any danger....until we find Galestar." Pebbleheart said. [She then gazed through the trees, a sigh escaping her lips.] "That's what we will do...for now." Pebbleheart said, as she slowly made her way back to camp.

[Embergaze nodded to Pebbleheart, a tired look flickering across his face. He didn't know Pebbleheart that well, though they must have grown up as kits together. He felt himself receeding into his shell again, then stopped himself. No! I promised myself I would be a new cat, one who doesn't hide shyly in a shell!
Embergaze swallowed and blinked.]
"Don't worry, it's okay," he said in response to her apology. "I'm sure anyone who just watched their leader get murdered wouldn't be in the best mood."
[He tilted his head, nodding at her words. It seems she still has faith he is alive, he thought silently. I guess I should too...maybe I'm just panicking.]
"Alright," he sighed, standing up to follow her. "Oh, and uh, sorry for scaring you earlier...I kinda wasn't dead...it's a long story."
[He grinned sheepishly and padded after his temporary leader. I see why Galestar chose her as deputy now, he thought with a touch of pride.]

I will be the lightning... _____________________________________ [Harpy gasped when she saw the Breezeclan leader go limp.] NO! This is NOT how it was supposed to go! Talon i have failed you! What will i do?! [She turned and looked at Sirin and then to Raven who remained silently watching from the shadows. Neversly she watched them, hoping that she would not say anything to Talon, for then he would surly lose his faith in her.] Fester! Thats it! He has those odd potions and studies of cats often! He has to fix this! [She swooped down and scooped up the limp Galestar in her talons. She glared down when her rival Pebbleheart called up to her with rage in her voice. She smiled smugly.] "Dont think this is over Pebbleheart! You can report that to your clan!" [She spread her enormous wings and flew off followed by Sirin. Raven and her shadows had already slipped away unnoticed before anyone had noticed.] _____________________________________ ...that strikes you out of the sky, Avalon.

[Embergaze padded out of the waving grassy moors. He flicked his ears, his ember eyes sweeping the area. He saw the twisted, gnarly tree where he had been taken hostage and winced, remembering how limp his leader had fallen once the bird had grabbed him. A fresh wave of pain washed over him, but he silenced it. The time to mourn is not now, he thought strongly. I have to hunt for my Clan first.
He stepped forward lightly, his eyes narrowed. The sunlight splashed over the snow through misty clouds, winking out and lighting up as obscure clouds passed in front of it. Beams of light hit Embergaze periodically, and his eyes turned brilliant gold in the rays, then extinguished to fiery and stormy orange in the shadows as the clouds passed. Thus his eyes flickered with blazing light, and the smoky tom found it difficult to catch prey when he was so noticably obvious amongst the snowy banks.
He spotted a rabbit, a rare catch during the leaf-bare snowfall. He lowered into a hunter's crouch, knowing full well he couldn't chase after it because he'd be noticed immediately at a distance and because the crunchy snow was an obvious giveaway of an approaching predator. He crouched down low, preferring to stake it out. Luckily, the rabbit did indeed inch closer, snuffling among the snow for hidden green plants to no avail. It was a skinny thing, its bones protruding unnaturally through its pelt, but it matched Embergaze's state as well. The muscular tom was simply lean muscles and bones. He hadn't eaten very well since being kidnapped after all, and Ice had just recently patched the gash on his leg, which ached in the cold.
However, he kept his head low and his ears perked, crouching in the snow patiently. His tail twitched as the rabbit came closer. Just as the rabbit came within range, it snapped its head up and stared wide-eyed into the snow, sensing Embergaze. Not willing to let the chance by, he sprung, catching the rabbit by its hind legs, but missing his target-the spine. The rabbit easily jumped out of Embergaze's deadly embrace and sprinted into the snow, throwing up waves of powdery white ice into the air as it escaped. He spat angrily, sitting down and huffing with disappointment.
He looked behind him to see if the rest of the patrol was coming, a guilty look on his face. Had he jinxed their whole hunting trip by causing a ruckus?]
(( I used the Odds Generator to see what he would catch. Apparently he's only catching two measely prey. :c And missing three catches. D: So first catch officially missed. ~<3 ))

[Serpentfang slinked into the borders, remaining in the shadows so as not to have the snow highlight her from an aria view. Her ears twitched and turned cautiously as she smiled sweetly out from her shadow to Embergaze. She looked down to see the tracks of a rabbit in the snow but no rabbit.] It must have been the one that i chased into the outskirts but got away... [The wild cat looked up suddenly when she saw Embergaze just miss a skinny rabbit and disapear into a puff of powdery snow. She instinctively went down low to the ground and waited for the rabbit to run her way. Like the strike of a coiled snake she shot out of the darkness while it was distracted by Embegaze and caught it by the head. Once the pray had gone limp she padded over to him and put it down, smiling.] "Good job! We make a great team!" [She said with a slight purr.]

[Pebbleheart remained in the BreezeClan territory, sniffing the air to detect fresh SeaClan scent. The snow covered her sandy fur as she scanned the area for any preys or intruders. Her eyes filled with fierce and cautious emotions, ready to attack anyone unknown. Her eyes then scanned the gray sky, noticing no eagles in sight.] "This area seems to be clear.." she said. Pebbleheart then turned her green gaze to Embergaze and Serpentfang, giving them a proud smile. "Excellent work." she complimented.
[Pebbleheart turned her head back, wondering if the rest are coming. Other than the patrol, a scrawny mouse caught her attention, settling itself in a patch of snow near an old oak tree. Her eyes filled with disappointment, but felt it was better than nothing. Slowly and carefully, she turned around and went into a crouching position, her fur covered in snow making an excellent camouflaging coat. Carefully and quietly, she approached the mouse from behind, not wanting it to spot the deputy. Pupils dilated, with confidence and pride.]
[As a foolish elder, her back paw laid on a weak twig and caused the twig to snap. The crack sound echoed in her ear, her pupils growing sharp as daggers. As obvious it was, the mouse turned its little head, its black eyes wide as Pebbleheart's shocked face was shown in its eyes. Quickly the mouse scurried away, its figure quickly disappearing. Letting out a hiss of frustration, Pebbleheart raised herself from her hunting position and straightened her back, waiting for the rest to come.]

((yes, lets get this patrol moving! biggrin It has been a long time, i dont think anyone else is coming. sweatdrop ))
[Serpentfang turned and smiled at the kind Pebblehart as she complemented them on their teamwork. She looked down at the rabbit she had killed and narrowed her eyes.] Its so thin... this doesn't look good. Serpentfang dose not think we will catch much more then this if at all! At least this snow isn't as cruel as the harsh blizzards high up in the mountains back home. Serpentfang wonders how her old family is baring their leaf bare this year.... [As the mountain cat was preoccupied with her catch she turned to see Pebblehear just miss a small mouse as it disappeared out of sight. Even though it was said that the skies were clear she still remained in the shadows, scanning the pure, white snow for any hint of pray. All she could see from her position was the footprints form the scrawny rabbit Embergaze had found.
The sent of Galestar still lingered slightly, buried under the fresh snow and slowly dieing away. The familiar sent of her old mentor reminded her of there time chasing rabbits out here, only this time it was different, more of a haunting echo for which she wished to return.] Galestar, Serpentfang will find you, but she will keep her promise to you. She will protect her clan and all you love. Do not worry about Frostcalw and our beloved clan, they are under her watchful eye. [She smiled with strength in her heart, confident in her self and her clan, but n=most of all in Galestar.]
