Dewburst [Dewburst awoke, weak and tired. His bones showed clear through his rough pelt. The Madness seemed bored with him. It hadn't flared up since the attack on Emberpaw. He seemed like a vegetable. He couldn't talk, from lack of water. He couldn't move unless the Madness wished it to be so, since he was so tired from constantly fighting it. He flicked in and out of consciousness.] I'm sorry everyone... Galespirit, Sweetmoon, Dicekit, Willowstar.. This may be a fight that I cannot win.. a hint of a smile flickered to his face, full of bitter emotions. [A starry figure glided into the edge of his vision.] No. Don't come for me now. he thought angry that he couldn't escape the inevitable. [A spirit that he'd never wish to see, even in death, was right in his face.] Hawkears. he thought to the tom he'd murdered all those moons ago. [A wry smile hit the toms face.] "Indeed, it's me." he said harshly. "You are about to die. But, if you're willing, we shall fight this." he mew hard. "Let me come fight with you. When the Madness does not expect it." Hawkears mewed slyly. Yes, I don't wish to join Starclan. Not now. he thought. [The tom smiled, with a hint of happiness, as his starry outline shone ever so brightly. Their thoughts swirled together. With the extra strength of a strong Starclan cat, the Madness seemed to leave almost willingly. The tom had told Dewburst everything, and yet nothing of his life in those few moments. But he did know that he forgave him. Dewburst's mind was left exhausted and even with the Madness temporarily defeated, he was still close to death. In the back of his mind, he knew he'd never be free of the Madness but he decided not to ponder on that for long. And with an almost final breath, he yowled. And then blacked out.]
((Sorry for the long post. @@;; I haven't posted here for awhile and I figured I'd better sum it all up. Eheh, once again, sorry for the long read.))

D u s k p a w“Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.”___________________________ Duskpaw burst into the medicine cat's den, having been jolted from her sleep with a horrid yowl. She brushed past Sweetmoon and Emberpaw, her flanks heaving, to see Dewburst looking utterly emaciated and half-hunting with StarClan. “Dewburst!” Duskpaw yowled and rushed up to the gray tom. He lay in his nest, unconscious, yet again. She gasped softly. He looked as if StarClan had already taken his spirit away. Her gaze hardened. Why weren't the medicine cats doing anything to help him? The realization that the cure hadn't been found yet made Duskpaw flatten her ears. This wasn't a disease; it was sheer torture. Approaching pawsteps made Duskpaw turn to see Owltalon step in with a large wad of water-soaked moss clamped lightly in his teeth. The white tom padded up to Dewburst and placed it beside him before turning to Duskpaw, his golden eyes flashing in the half-light. “I thought that this might help...Dewburst seems to be taking the worst of the Madness, but be sure to give both of them plenty of water. After all, in this state, they're unable to drink or feed themselves...” Duskpaw watched him lightly trot out of the den without another word. She sighed, glancing at the two Madness victims. Starting with Dewburst, she gave them both water, most of it to the tom. He looked terrible, and it felt like a cold stone sat in Duskpaw's stomach to see her clanmates like this. A thought crossed her mind. If traveling herbs keep hunger pangs away, it should help keep them controlled a bit longer...Right? Oh, and thyme would be nice... Duskpaw took a large leaf and began chewing up poppy seeds, spitting them out into the poppy plant milk and mixing them together. She then chewed up and mixed in the traveling herbs and thyme, but still, she felt like the cats needed some sort of food in the paste. After making a few trips out of camp and to the fresh-kill pile, Duskpaw had mixed into the paste pre-chewed rabbit and vole meat and a few berries and honey. So, the paste would numb, paralyze, calm, and, ironically, nourish the cats with vital sustinance. Overall, the mixture seemed ridiculously absurd and only hypothetically beneficial, but she had to try. The young she-cat managed to part each cat's jaws just enough to push in a mouthful of the paste to each. Natural reflexes took care of the swallowing. When she finished, Duskpaw sighed gruffly, plopping onto the floor and folding up the leaf she'd used to mix the paste on. Her ears perked as she saw Sweetmoon and Emberpaw watching her. She smiled awkwardly, a nervous tremble clearly visible in her paws and twitching tail-tip.
[[I just randomly popped in these two to help...*sighs* Well, you did say he was thirsty. Dl And hey, I think that *points up* is much worse than your's. o____O; ...I need to simplify my writing...]]

D u s k p a w“Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.”___________________________ [Duskpaw dipped her head to Berryblaze. She winced inwardly. How could she ever blame him for anything? He was out gathering herbs, which was his duty. She blinked gratefully.] “It's okay. I understand...Well, now that you're here, I'm going to leave him them to you, Berryblaze.” [Duskpaw lightly dipped her head once more before trotting out of the den. She muttered cursings beneath her breath as she walked towards the apprentices' den. The more she tried to help, the more people would question her about her medicinal skills, and she hated it. She'd kept her talent hidden for so many moons, and now her secret was completely out in the open. She glanced at Galespirit just before she slinked into the den. Duskpaw really hoped that he'd train her soon, before she becomes a second medicine cat apprentice. She sighed through her nose as she curled into her nest, not to sleep, but just to rest.]
[[It's alright. :3]]

SweetMoon heard the commotion going on about DewBurst. Worry seemed to flash through her eyes. Yet she wasnt going to leave Emberpaw until he responded. She turned back to Emberpaw waiting for a response.

Wavepelt padded up to Owltalon "just wondering, are you going to train me today? We haven't trained at all yet and since things seem to be calm for now it would be a good time for it. Of course if now isn't a good time I can wait" I can wait? That's a lie, there's a cure to be found and if I'm not trained I won't be able to help the clans. Plus they're leaving in a matter of days, maybe even tonight so I need to learn as much as possible today.

O w l t a l o n“Belief is not a matter of choice, but of conviction.”___________________________Owltalon twitched his whiskers and stod up, his eyes blinking at Wavepelt. “In all honesty, I've forgotten about your training, and I appologize. Things have been far too chaotic this past moon for me to even remember where my tail is. Come, we shall start your battle training immediatly.” Owltalon meowed in his typical monotone before beginning to pad out of camp, his tail flicking for Wavepelt to follow.

Wavepelt nodded and followed "thanks, and it's okay. I almost forgot too, speaking of which what do you think is guarding the cure? They're huge cats, aparently who seem to have been watching us, and are angry. Anything you know about that might cause a group of huge cats to hate the clans? Oh and what are you going to teach me today?

O w l t a l o n“Belief is not a matter of choice, but of conviction.”___________________________Owltalon fell into pace beside Wavepelt as they padded towards the training grounds. He took a long, silent pause, thinking over the question. “I've heard...many stories, when I was a kit, about a massive cat that lives in the mountains that our ancestors once crossed to settle in the lands here. The mountain cat fed on the Tribe cats that lived in near them, and he looked like a maneless lion, as if StarClan had stripped him of his beauty...But out legends say that a silver Clan cat slayed the beast, sacrificing herself in the process...It's rather...ridiculous, but I believe that the mountain lion that was killed was the brethren of the Star Slayer...And...I'm going to test you on an array of fields. I need to assess you on the basics...” Owltalon meowed deeply just before they reached the training grounds. Once there, he bounded ahead and whipped around, crouching slightly. “Now, Wavepelt, attack me like you would an enemy, and don't hold back.”

Waveplet was still thinking about what the cat had said about the mountain cat when he told Wavepelt to attack him. "Okay, no holding back" he bounded toward the cat in a zig-zag confusing him. Wavepelt passed the cat and leaped at him from behind.

O w l t a l o n“Belief is not a matter of choice, but of conviction.”___________________________Owltalon's golden eyes darted from side to side, following Wavepelt as he swerved around him. Then, the tom pounced. Owltalon bunched the muscles in his hind legs up before letting the energy out in an explosive back kick. He felt his hind paws make contact on Wavepelt's cheek and chest, thrusting the tom away. Owtlaon then whirled around and flicked his ears. “Never expect the enemy to only attack head-on. Many warriors know how to fight with their hind legs just as well as their forelegs.”

Wavepelt got up swiftly and stood witha smile "I was guessing that one, that's a powerful kick too." He bounded up to the cat and leaped keeping his back paws in contact with the ground using the same move he used on the other cat. If the cat figured it out he could fall over on top of the cat if he charged Wavepelt.
