Penguin smiled a bit, and bowed his head in respect as he took it. He tried not to frown, but he was starting to think she was an Yakuza. A member of traditional organized crime syndicates in Japan...which...have been known to be wide-spread. This would need to be handled delicately.
"Thank you."

"You are most welcome. I am glad that you honor me with your presence, Mr. Cobblepot. I am Yuriko Oyama, and I am here on business," Deathstrike began taking a brief pause before she continued, "As I am rather new to Gotham, I figure that speaking with someone who, as you would say, 'know the lay of the land.' I am looking for some individuals, and am hoping that you can point me in the right direction?"

Oswald paused for a moment in thought, then smiled. "You've come to the right place then, my dear." He replied. "Would you like to speak here, or continue this conversation at one of my more private tables? Closed off from listening ears."

Yuirko nodded, "Yes, that sounds like an excellent idea, Mr. Cobblepot. Take me wherever you wish to sir."

Penguin led Yuriko out of the main lounge, sliding the small gift box into his pocket as they walked. He led her through one of the doors marked 'employee use only'...which led to a rather nice sound proofed dining room. One of the areas he reserved for VIP customers only. Very VIP.
He gestured for her to have a seat once they arrived at the table.

Lady Deathstrike allowed herself to be led into the VIP section, and let herself be seated by Penguin, "I've heard something of late that you might find of interest. Apparently the Batman has recently gone on a killing spree."

"Yes...I've heard of that." Penguin replied, taking a seat across from her. "I'm trying to review what the authorities have on that...the images are not the best quality. I am rather certain though...that it is not the Batman Gotham knows. With all this universal merging, it could very possibly be someone else wearing the same cowl."

Yuriko arched an eyebrow, "Really, do tell. I know that the authorities are convinced that it is the Batman. If it isn't Batman, then who would have the skill to deal with professional armed men under Carmine Falcone, and would this man be a threat?"

Meanwhile, the transmission got Arell and Dundee thinking. "Dis cain't be no Batman from de tv back home." Arell said thinking. He never saw the tv shows, but he heard about the Big Black Bat through stories Dundee mentioned to him about life beyond the bayou . . . and the occasional comic book lying around his shack.
"Yer right . . . this is a new one . . . now how we gonna get around to catching him?" Dundee asked. Arell pondered a bit.
"Well, we just gotta find some'un dat can out-drive 'im . . . an' I know just who to find." Arell said and looked over at Antigua.
"'Ey now, I don't even have a car!" Antigua said.
"I can fix that." Dundee said with a grin.

Raven Roth Raven wrapped a comforting arm around Starfire and kissed her shoulder lightly. "I am Raven Roth. Also one of the remaining Titans. Please, tell us what you know of this foe. Any help could prove critical in taking it down." She inquired calmly, lightly fiddiling with Star's hair. She was deeply concerned of Quinn fining Kori again, but if he so much as touched her, his hands would find themselves in her father's dimension very quickly.

Crystal stared at the com like it had grown a head. "What's up with 'dis now? An' if it's a fast driver ya need, I has my bike." She looked at the three.
"But I need to know what's goin on. The abridged version iffin y'all don' mind."

Arell shrugged. "All I know 'bout dis is what just went out. 'Parrently some joker actin' like de Batman from de Lafayette drive-in's runnin' amok. Up t' us t' get to de bottom of it." Arell said . . . it didn't sound like Batman was behind this, but he never met Bruce Wayne in person, so he didn't know.
"Reckon we could really use yer help, Crystal." Dundee said as Arell downloaded some data off of his eye . . . which would have been done earlier if this particular roleplayer had remembered about that nifty little power a few posts back. ((Oops))
"I've been libbin' in Gotham ever since da worlds came togedder. I don't tink dis is work of Batman at all. Howevah, it is someting to look into." Antigua confirmed.

Starfire smiled a bit when Raven kissed her shoulder and fiddled with her hair. Leaning her head toward her lover, Kori hugged Raven a moment before turning back toward the Green Lantern, "Yes, please fill us in on the situation."

Oswald shook his head. “Unless something has happened to really set him off, Batman doesn’t kill. He’s never been known to, even under extreme situations. I very much doubt he’d break his code of conduct on a group of thugs if he wouldn’t for some of his more notorious foes. It’s possible that this is A Batman…possibly from another universe. If that’s the case, then it’s very hard to tell who this man is and what he’s capable of.” he replied, then paused for a moment in thought. ”Yes…if it truly is another version of Batman, then I would consider him a threat. Batman is very formidable…let alone one that’s going about murdering who he deems in his way. I‘m sure the authorities, as well as what heroes are left out and about, will be on the hunt for him.”

Yuriko nodded with Penguin's appraisal of the situation. It made perfect sense that this was not the real Batman, especially with what she had learned from the JLA database. Lady Deathstrike then decided that she begin with some of the individuals on Kingpin's list that she didn't know, "As I stated before, I am seeking to find various people of interest. Shall we start with the ones known as Shadow Spider and Steel Spider?"
