Garaden grumbled and gave his head another rough shake. "It's itching." He said, pawing at it again. He looked between Roland and Kai and lowered his head modestly. "I wasn't going to just stand there." He said quietly, scratching his ear.
"We appreciate your help ma'am." Ivan said with a slight nod to Nephele. When she asked for something in return, he cocked his head at Atreyu and shrugged. They could figure that out later.
Frowning, he trotted over and swatted at Garaden's paw. "Scratching at it won't help. It needs to be cleaned. This will have to do..." Soaking his tail in a water puddle, Ivan wiped it on Garaden's ear, then, despite the black wolf's whine of protest, licked it clear. Satisfied, he gave his charge a nudge after the female. "Let's go guys."

Bowing towards Nephele, he heard her request and he stared at her for moment and then nodded his head.
"I understand and I'm sure we'll come to agree on something." He watched her walk off and sighed. He didn't have much to give but he would think of something. Perhaps he'd ask the others but then again, if this treasure was as vast Nimue had made it out to be; he was sure there had to be something there for everyone. He glanced at the others and stepped to the side to let them go first.
"Go ahead, I will cover the back. We can't have any one of us getting separated like that again." He said, flicking his tail.
Kai glanced at Garaden and he rolled his eyes.
"Heh, he's right. Thanks Garaden..." Kai flashed the black moonlit a goofy grin and turned to trot after the others, looking around and wagging his tail. He caught up with Nephele. "So... uh... are you a-- treasure hunter?" Kai asked hesitantly, afraid she'd snap again.

Roland nodded at Nephele. "Of course I know." He said with a shake of his head, "I helped you find that cave." He couldn't believe that she had forgotten already. He nodded to Atreyu and walked behind Nephele.
Rudolf looked at Garaden and nodded. "See I." He said watching Ivan clean Garaden's ear, "Middle take I." He walked between Atreyu and the others.
Nephele led the knights back onto the path. She looked over at Kai and nodded. "Yes I am." She said, "I love searching for treasure." She then turned to look back at Roland. "Oh yeah. That was you." She said sheepishly. She turned around and continued down the path until they came across an open field. She stopped and sat down. "The cave you seek is over there." She said pointing across the field. There were more trees on the other side and you could make out some cliffs in the distance. "Alright I'll expect my payment when you are done." She said turning to Atreyu, "I'll be here waiting so you can give it to me or you can give it to Roland and he'll give it to me."

Garaden nodded slightly to Kai. "You're welcome." Hearing Rudolf take the middle, he barked and ran up next to him. "Sticking close, remember?" He said with a playful shove.
When they reached the field, he waved thanks/good-bye to Nephele. "One suprise down," He said as he walked, "I wonder what we'll run into next."
Ivan followed up to walk next to Atreyu. "I think that woke everyone up." He said with a light smirk.
They soon reached the field. "Thank you ma'am." He gave Nephele a slight bow and continued on. He looked up to the sky and smiled, thankful that they at least had a full moon rising. It was easy to see everyone in the open field. It was the cave he was nervous about.

"No kidding..." Atreyu looked at Ivan and smirked at him. "At least no one was hurt too badly."
The moment they found themselves in the field, Atreyu glanced at Nephele and bowed to her. "I'll be sure to remember to give it to Roland. I don't know when next will meet but thank you mi'lady."
Atreyu bowed politely one more time for good measure and then turned towards the field. "Here we come cave!"
Kai nodded at what Nephele said and stared at the field for a moment. He noticed the cliffs and tilted his head.
"Are we near the mountains?" He asked, curious as to how far they had actually traveled. Hearing Garaden's comment about what was next, he smirked and wagged his tail. "Maybe an evil wizard will show up and turn us into toads...."

Nephele nodded. "Alright. I'll expect my payment as soon as your done." She said turning to Roland, "Of course I'll pay you properly in return for bringing my payment." With that she stood and walked back the way they came.
Roland nodded to Nephele. "Okay." He said. He then turned to the field and took a step forward.
Nephele stopped before leaving and turned to the knights. "You're going to want to watch out in the field." She called, "There's all kinds of holes and rocks you can't see!" She then left smiling as she thought of the treasure she would get.
Roland stopped and looked at the ground. He was just about to step into a hole that probably would have broken a leg. "We are going to have to be careful."
Rudolf looked over at Garaden and smiled. "Right!" He said playfully shoving back. He stopped with the others and tilted his head at Nephele's warning. "Holes? Rocks?" He asked looking at the field, "See none I."

Twitching his ears, Garaden gave Rudolf a look of mock horror, though real annoyance was apparent. "Why holes?! We've been having nothing but trouble with holes lately!" Snorting, he held his head up and jumped to walk in front of Rudolf. "I said I'd keep you safe, so I'll make sure you don't fall into anything." With a nod he started across, peeking back to make sure Rudolf was behind him. "Well, if we were turned into toads, at least we'd be able to hop over the holes better."
Ivan looked at Kai, then up at the mountains. "I don't think I've ever seen them this close." He smiled. They would be getting closer yet. His nose in the air, Ivan caught the familiar scent again. "The closer we get to the cave, the closer we get to her." He mumbled, wondering what she was doing out here.
Suddenly, a face and a name popped into his mind to match the scent. "I remember now! It's Journey!"
In the middle of the field, napping in a small hole, a gray and pink female awoke to the voices of a bunch of males. When one said her name, sleep fell quickly away and she cautiously peeked her head out through the top. There. Who was this bunch, and why did they want her? When she recognized two of them, she instantly felt relief. It couldn't be very bad with those two. Grinning, Journey hopped out of the hole and barked. "You called?"

Naito looked in amazement seeing another female pop up. He wondered how many more moonlits they would meet. However, he still kept quiet since he didn't know what to say.

Atreyu stepped out into the field and lifted his head to the night sky. Taking a deep breath, he turned to Ivan when he mentioned the familiar scent again and he scanned the field. Seeing a head pop up out of the holes, Atreyu smirked slightly and he took a step forward, dodging a few holes.
"I'm guessing that's her." Atreyu said to Ivan. His voice getting louder for Journey to hear, he barked at her. "Hello!"
Kai laughed and bent down.
"Then let us become frogs and maybe these holes won't be so much of a problem..."
With a low bark as he tried to sound like a frog, Kai jumped into the air over a hole and bent down low aganist a grass. He twitched his tail and looked up as he caught the scent of another female. He tilted his head.
"It seems we have more company..."

Rudolf jumped when another female popped up. "AH!" He screamed, "Heart attack give me you." He placed a paw on his chest and tried to take some deep breaths. He looked at Garaden and tried to smile. It was a little hard since he was still on edge.
Roland looked at the new female and bowed his head. "Good evening Sai." He said, "Long days and pleasant nights." He then gave Rudolf a concerned look. "Are you alright?" He asked getting a nod in return, "Take it easy will you." He shook his head thinking Rudolf was going to have a heart attack one day.

Smirking at Kai, Garaden also jumped when Journey popped up. "Geez Journey! You know it's not nice to sneak up on others!" He turned back to Rudolf and smiled. "Hey! I can only protect you from out here. Don't let your insides cheat!"
Ivan shook his head. "Everyone, this is Journey." He trotted ahead to meet her. "Journey. These are the knights of the round food bowl." He introduced each knight in turn. "We'd love to stay and chat, but we're in the middle of something and we must be off."
Nodding to Atreyu, Journey giggled when Rudolf and Garaden jumped. "Excuse me, but you're the ones who mosied over and interupted my nap." She looked at Roland and smiled politely. "I'm not Sai, mate. I'm Journey." She tilted her head then shrugged. "Well, same to you."
She listened to Ivan, then looked up at the sun. "'bout time I headed my way too. But by the looks of it, it's the same way you guys are. Mind if a lady tags along a bit?"

Atreyu walked up behind Ivan and smirked at Journey.
"She sure is friendly." He said. When she asked if she could tag along, Atreyu looked at the others. "If our way is your way, I don't mind if you tag along Lady Journey." He glanced at the others. "Does anyone object to this?"
Kai glanced at Rudolf and tilted his head.
"Hey man, calm down. We don't want to have to carry you back to the sitting room..." Kai gave both Garaden and Rudolf a happy smirk and trotted forward towards where Ivan had gone ahead to speak to the female. He looked her up and down carefully and then gave her his usual goofy grin and proceeded onward though he nearly fell into a hole.
*will post who they'll met at the cave in a post or so*

Rudolf shook his head. "Problem no Atreyu." He said finally calming down. He began to make his way through the holey field. "Carry not me." He said, "Fine be now I."
Roland looked at Journey and shook his head. "I didn't say Sai was your name. It's a proper term when speaking to others you don't know." He explained, "I have no problem with her coming with us." HE began walking through the field jumping over several holes.

Naito bounded over the holes as well. "Well we sure keep getting losts of company." He lightly laughed.

Nodding to Journey, Garaden barked when Kai nearly fell. "Hey, I don't have to watch you too, do I?" He turned again to mutter loudly to Naito. "Though I prefer this company to our previous companion."
"Alright." Ivan smiled and headed on through the field.
"Oh, that's interesting," Journey closed her eyes, trying to remember the name Ivan had said. "Roland. But, now you know." Smirking at Kai's look over and grin, Journey turned to Rudolf. "I do apologize for givin' you that right scare. You had me a sight worried myself though, bunch of strange males way out here."
She nodded her head to the knights. "'preciate it." At that, she turned and headed across. Though she didn't seem to be watching her step she easily leapt over the holes and rocks.
