He smiled to himself as she pet him again, closing his eyes until she shifted beneath him so she was laying down. Turning his head while still laying there so she had the warmth, he studied her. Clearly she had been in the forest for awhile, her gown was destroyed and as rude as it seemed, her hair was a mess. He wanted to shift back and offer her some sanctuary, a place to sleep and bathe and eat, but he didn't want to scare her again just yet. Instead he pressed his nose to her stomach before laying closer to her. The least he could do was keep her warm.

She turned just slightly again and placed her head gently on his side, using him as a pillow for now. She did one last yawn before closing her eyes and slowly falling asleep. "Thank you." Was all she said.

He waited until he knew she was sleeping deeply before he shifted back. The sensation of her head on his abs was strange, but even so he let her lay there a moment more before standing up carefully and lifting her into his arms. His fur was soft but he was just as warm, and he cradled her close as he started walking. She needed a real bed, not just a wolf and the hard ground. So staying quiet he let her sleep, taking her back to his home in the Hallow village.

Within moments, Banshi was in the forest. Slowing down into a fast paced walk, then into very slow, steady steps, she moved perfectly silently, her black trench coat flapping in the gentle breeze with her long blonde wavy hair. Her amethyst eyes looked intensely, darkly, straight ahead. Without hesitation, although she knew what she might find, Banshi stepped into a very large over grown bush as tall as a tree. Past the heart shaped leaves and the branches that scrapped at her face and snagged at her layers of black clothing, her stone cold face grew very, very pale... horror reflecting in her dark eyes.

Trembling, perfectly alone, she took a step forward. Sunlight shined through the leaves, a contrast of black darkness on the floor of this forest, with white light shining in long narrow rays. The wind blew, and the rays of white light in th stark darkness shifted over, dancing, exposing a body laying upon the ivy covered ground.. Silence... horrible silence, the rustling of leaves sounding almost like the crackling of fire, or hidden deep in the short burst of wind... the beating of a heart.

The smell of blood and decay was thick in the moist heavy air... The blood of a crusnik. Walking over, her before silent footsteps now made crinkling sounds, stepping on top of ivy and long dead leaves. Standing above the body, Banshi then fell softly to her knees, wrapping her arms around the dead female crusnik, and pulling up her limp, shredded, blood covered body, held her close, cradling the dead girl in her arms. Moving her fingers through her matted down, black, dirt and leave entangled hair, Banshi breathed out shakily. She whispered, buring her face into the ripped open, crushed shoulder, "I wanted to protect you... you, so weak, so young, but 17 years... You never knew my face, but I always knew yours."

Tears streaked down Banshi's face, although her expression remained with dignity, did not change. Drying her tears, she lowered the body. The eyes were open, and had a white foam over them, partially eaten away by maggots... The girl had a cute heart-shaped face, long black beautiful hair, ivory skin, in the nude, her ripped up bohemian blood-stained dress just yards away... a truely beautiful, delicate looking girl. Her right leg had been ripped off from the knee down, chunks of bone and rotting flesh, shredded skin, and muscle. Her chest and stomach had been ripped open, Y cut, like an autopsy... the girl's dried blood had rubbed off on Banshi, and her organs nearly having fallen out, had Banshi not been careful.

Touching the girl's hands, she felt all the bones in them had been broken, and scratch and bite marks across her arms. She died trying to protect herself... Holding her breath, Banshi pulled open the skin, exposing the rib cage and all the organs underneath. Then, closing it, examined the girl's back... the heart had been ripped out, that is how she had died. The neck was in tact, and no arteries had been cut. Focusing, Banshi closed her eyes, resting her hands on the girl's body. .....that scent.... the killer.... Gasping, a vision and image rushing through her mind, Banshi pulled her hands back, stareing with shock and horror at the body. Avarice! He killed her... Banshi had not seen the doctor in over a hundred years, but that scent left on the body... it was unmistakable. Gripping her fist, Banshi reached into her pocket, pulling out a needle and thread. .... I vow vengence, dear one...

Leaning down over the girl's face, Banshi gently closed her partially eaten away eyelids, and kissing the girl's forehead, and whispered, "My dear one.... beloved... I promise, you will be avenged. You, who never lifted a finger against anyone..." A tear streamed down her face, onto the girl's blue, pale, open lips, from which blood had streamed down, now dried, down her cheeks and neck onto the ground. "Rest in peace... Sleep well, young maiden... an angel too soon. You shall never be forgotten." With these last words, she kissed the girl's cold forehead once more, and continued to sew up the body where all the wounds were.

Picking up the girl's dress and body, she carried the girl bridal style to a river, where Banshi cleaned the girl's body and washed out her hair. Putting her dress back on her, Banshi then wrapped her body, covering her face and her severed leg, inside of her trench coat. Cradling and carrying her, Banshi took the girl's body to the village, to tell the family of her death... and after burying her body in the graveyard, after the rites had been passed over her body and prayers said for her soul.... Banshi jumped down from the tree outside the graveyard where she had watched, repeated the prayers, and crossed herself from unnoticed by the human family members of the dearly departed girl. Landing on the ground, Banshi set out, walking away in the evening of that day, without her trench coat, to go find Avarice. Her eyes were on fire, her face cold, without falter or expression. "Avarice... you will answer to this girl's death... For my beloved, my fellow crusniks, my loved ones.... Vengeance is mine!"

Cloak swishing with each step she took, Amy walked through the forest. The rustling of the leaves was the only sound she made as she approached a small stream. She knelt down to it, dipped her hands in the water, and washed away the dirt from her face. Water dripping down her cheeks, she pulled off her hood and looked around. Isolation, wonderful. The moon shined down brightly on her long blue hair so that it appeared white as she ran her fingers through her hair as to brush it. She got up from the stream's bed and made a bed of her own out of leaves. She shifted into a dark blue wolf and padded to the bed of leaves, and curled up. She liked to relax as a wolf, and after a day like today, she quickly drifted off to sleep.

Everleigh let out a deep sigh as she stepped into the forest. Seeing a tree above her, she gripped the branch and pulled herself up, so that she could sit against the trunk of the tree. She sat quietly, watching the night sky. Her almost shoulder length golden-brown hair blew around her face, and her matching eyes stared forward. She rested her chin on her knee, but continued to will herself to stay awake. What if something were to happen while she was asleep?

Gregory made his way through the forest as quietly as he could, but it wasn't easy. A thin trail of blood ran from the corner of his mouth, and his teeth were gritted from the pain in his side; the beast had hit him hard enough to break ribs, and he felt it. He thumped against a tree, and let himself slide into a sitting position, his fingers soaked in blood: both his own and the werewolf's. However, neither of them were dead, and both of them knew it; it was simply a matter of who would find the other first. Taking advantage of the down time, he carefully took his shirt off, wincing in pain as his arms moved over his head. He'd taken some pain pills already, but the break was still burning under his skin; it needed treatment. Quickly unspooling some gauze, he circled his torso with it several times, pulling it taut. It hurt, but he knew that a little pain now meant much less later, and that was a good trade in his eyes.

The most urgent situation was dealt with, but there was still the problem of a wolf out for his blood. With no other solution presenting itself, he climbed a nearby tree quickly. He hoped that the beast would simply run under him, but he suspected that it would follow his scent up eventually. If anything, he hoped that it would pause for a moment in confusion, giving him the opportunity to strike first. He rested in the crook of the tree, hoping that the thing's blood lust would blind it. Back-up would have been appreciated, but Gregory Araeberous didn't deal in miracles.

Ever covered her mouth to avoid screaming as she was woken up by something in the tree next to her. She heard movement, but by now it was so dark she couldn't see a thing. "Damn it." She muttered to herself, then proceeded to take her bow her bow from her side and string and arrow onto it. She aimed at where she could still hear small movements, which she wouldn't have been able to pick up if it wasn't dead night. Everleigh let go, and let the arrow fly. She held her breath to see if she had hit anything. She hadn't had a decent meal in days - some bird sounded extremely nice at the moment.

As Gregory situated himself finally, he heard a faint rustle from somewhere nearby. His muscles tensed, and his eyes scanned the ground carefully, watching for movement. A soft whizz was heard, and his grip tightened on the dagger... and the arrow hit him squarely in the a**. He howled as he fell out of the tree and smashed into the ground face first. He reached back and felt the arrow, and groaned loudly as he pulled it out; it hadn't gone very deep, as it had nailed his wallet, but the tip had managed to jab him. He rolled over onto his back, and raised a finger at the tree.

"What the hell... was that?"

Ever's golden eyes widened. "I'm.... sorry?" She hadn't realized it was a person in the tree. She had thought that she would get some actual food. "Did it hit you? I thought you were a bird!" She felt extremely bad, and whoever this was - a man by the sound of his voice - probably thought she had meant to shoot him. "I really am sorry. Are you alright?" She locked her knees on the branch she was on, and spun so that she was hanging upside down from the tree. This of course, didn't help with seeing, and just made everything a little more blurry. Why did the blood have to go to her head again?

Amy woke up from the thud and immediately shifted back into human. She stood straight up and looked around quickly and heard someone talking. She quietly walked towards the sound, and not far from her was someone one the ground that apparently fell out of a tree and a girl hanging upside down from a branch. Amy hid behind a nearby tree and waited for something to happen.

Blood, chains.. mondain, yet so effective. particularly when the chains were imprinted with crucifixs and the blood was his own. Wrath simply kept his head bowed, staying on his feet as he felt his wounds weep crimson tears. Vampires he could handle, wolves.. no problem. when the two paired up, well.. any hunter would have a moment of trouble. He had been ambushed in the small church near here, wolves catching him with these chains and draging him out to the vampires waiting. Not a shock, really.. he had expected it for weeks now. Maybe even prayed for it, in truth.. Though the sword stuck through his intestines was a unwelcome twist to the thoughts of his death.

The chains pulled tight again and the vampire before him snarled, demanding harsly. " On your knees! Beg for forgiveness of your clan." He had taken Wrath's mask and hood, folding it neatly on the tree stump along with his weapons. it had been a living tree before they started.. but Wrath had managed to tear his chains through it half way through their... chat. The vampire curled his lip as the hunter swayed, crashing bodily to the forest floor rather than kneel. " ungreatful wretch.. Bind him, we will take him to the coven for a memory removal.." his eyes, so cold, looked down.. fury clear in their depths. " Half or no, a brother of mine will not disgrace our family name."

Wrath did not stir at his older brothers rage, hardly feeling the agony his fall created. it had rammed the sword to the hilt in his gut, the many bite marks and tearings at his flesh irritated at the plants and soil that rubbed them.. but he felt only the grim satisfaction as he felt his heart slowing. Oddly enough, as his eyes closed, he saw a womans face.. sparking with challenge and humor. Kiya.. That.. had truely been his best memory.

Something's wrong. Kiya felt it as she tried to make her way back, slowing when she reached the forest and looking around from under Wrath's hood. There was pain here, she could tell. But where was it coming from. The voices clued her in and she moved quickly but quietly, stopping a good twenty or thirty feet away. Looking again she stopped breathing for a moment. It was him. And he was in trouble. She was as stunned as he had been, she had never known wolves and vampires to work together. But there wasn't time to keep wondering about that. There were still two wolves with the vampires. Time to let go of the mind for a little while. Removing his cloak she let it drop to the forest floor, keeping the crucifix on. She knew it would be fine. Centering herself she let the hunter in her take over, shifting to her wolf form and running straight on at them, and taking down one of the wolves.

Creed heared the wolves snaping and snarling, hardly glanceing at the beasts as he stepped forward.. pulling Wrath up and jerking the sword from his flesh. " Stubborn fool." tearing his wrist he forced it to the hunters mouth, unrelenting as he made him swallow the blood. he would always find him now and, though it looked quite different, he did not wish for Wrath to die. When he was content he had had enough he allowed him to fall to the forest floor again, covering his wrist and signaling for his wolves to stand down. " He has been located. Brian, help Tailor to his den.. the two of you will not recall any contact with vampires." the two wolves, one in sad shape from Kiya's attack, limped off.. their minds empty as if they were only sleeping.

Turning his attention to Kiya Creed studied her, his gaze cold. " You carry his scent, which is the only reason you are spared wolf. When he heals his blood lust will be wild, insure there are the proper amount of humans near to feed him."
